Purchase of 2015 Honda Accord I was impressed with the customer service, the knowledge of the sales representative, and the professionalism of all of the staff I dealt with. We had been looking at cars for only a few minutes when a sales representative (I think they call them product specialists) who was helping another customer asked if we were looking for a specific make and model of car. When we told her we were interested in a used Honda Accord, she directed us to the location on the lot and told us she would find someone to help us. In a few minutes a sales rep/product specialist met us, took information from us and asked us to follow him inside so he could search their inventory to find what we were looking for. There was no pressure to purchase. He was able to answer all of our questions and if he wasn't certain about the answer, he looked it up. I felt like I was being given all of the information I needed to make a decision, but not pressed to buy. When I decided to buy, the sales manager found the best interest rate for me. He explained that since the factory warranty on the car had expired, I could purchase a warranty that provided essentially the same coverage the factory warranty provided. The price was reasonable, I was, again, offered this product and told the advantages of having it but not urged to purchase it. This was probably the best car buying experience I've ever had - and I've bought several cars in my lifetime. More

I handled most everything through phone calls and E mail. I then went into the Dealership and met with Adam and Kevin. After a review of the paperwork was everything it should be. No misrepresentation at all. In fact Adam worked a few other things into the transaction so that my Pilot would have everything similar to my 2011 Pilot. This dealership was wonderful to work with and I am already planning two additional Pilot acquisitions and a Toyota Avalon purchase during the next two years. This is the go to Honda dealer in Kansas City. More

He said it was good for two years, but he never said that it dropped off after 24,000 miles had been exceeded. He quickly handed me off to the slick sales manager who was all too eager to get me to sign all the papers without having time to read them. I will NEVER do business with Legends Honda or Legends Toyota ever again and I urge you not too either!!!! More

Huge letdown Full disclosure: I am in a bankruptcy. So, knowing it will be difficult to get financing, I emailed first questioning about available lenders. Immediately I got a response that left me very hopeful, as Adam was the first sales manager from a dealership that asked upfront if I had an Order (I did). So I arrived on Saturday and proceeded applying. Adam was aware of my situation, and knew what I could afford and he worked really hard to get me into a good car that would last me. But, due to the bankruptcy and it being a Saturday at noon, I was told the banks wouldn't finalize the authorization until Monday. So I had to leave without a car but feeling very hopeful and appreciative of all his effort. Monday came and I was let down. No contact whatsoever. Adam had the day off (and I already had been told someone else would likely be closing). I had to call back twice to finally be told that I had to put a large sum of money down before they'd sell. As I was told on Saturday I wouldn't have to put anything down, and that all that was needed was the authorization and everything else was approved, I felt really angry and bitter. I knew the play-by-play would require something down, but Adam already knew my limit. I informed the salesman that had finally called me back at 4:30 that evening that I could only put down so much, and he responded he'd look into it. Radio silence. The following day that car that Adam had tried to get me had been listed as sold. Overall, this was a very humiliating and bitter experience. There was no true follow-through and the lack of communication with me is unforgivable--every time my credit is checked in my bankruptcy, my scores go down. I fully realize I have a difficult financial situation to navigate, but that doesn't mean I should be treated with any less respect than any other customer. I don't think I'll ever be able to recommend this dealership to anyone, but I also don't want to short change all the work Adam (and Kevin) did. But, now I have to look again, and get my credit dinged again by another dealer because this one let me down. More
