Don't let these people screw you over!! Okay, so I purchased a used vehicle back in 2013. I let my sales red Jonathan know that I was a first time buyer and not educated in the process whats Okay, so I purchased a used vehicle back in 2013. I let my sales red Jonathan know that I was a first time buyer and not educated in the process whatsoever, and that I really needed a dealer that could get me in a safe reliable vehicle. He said no problem we can do that. I told him that I had a recent bankruptcy and my credit wasn't the best, he said no problem. Well, it was dark out and he showed me a Chevy Malibu, let me test drive it. I asked Marcus (another salesrep who was driving with me) if there was warranty, he said it is still under manufacture warranty so no need to purchase one. Jonathan let me drive the vehicle home that night without even signing paperwork. I had asked if I could look at other cars and he told me that my credit was so horrible and this was the only car I could get financed for. Would not give me the chance to look at other vehicles. Being without a vehicle, I signed paperwork, and no I did not look at a carfax, nor was it offered. Being my first vehicle purchase and alone, I did not even know what a carfax was. I told Jonathan my intentions were to pay on time for a while and trade the vehicle in. Well, a few months after I signed paperwork, the car broke down, took it to a shop and found out that the warranty had expired before I even bought the vehicle. Now, 3 years down the road I go to trade the vehicle in finally, and was told that there was frame/unibody damage to the vehicle reported before I even bought it and no dealer will offer a trade in value for the car, (not to mention it was sold to me at high value). So, I call Jonathan up and tell him everything that was going on, no sorry or anything, his reply "well it wasn't a branded title or anything". I contacted a Doug Webb with the company who is some sort of customer relations manager. I explain the situation to him, and he agreed that this should not have happened and instructed me not to speak with the murray dealership any longer and he would handle my case from now on. Well, a week goes by and still no word. Finally I get a call and it's from Jonathan in Murray. He said that he was waiting for a sales even to offer me another vehicle. I told him I was confused because Doug said that he was taking over, Jonathan replied "he asked us to finish this up". So, I was a little reluctant on having to work with the same guy who screwed me over, but wanting to fix the issue, I went along with it. So, again he offers me one car, this time says this is the only one in my price range. It was a 2015 year kia, and I decide this time to take it to a mechanic shop to be checked before I decide to buy. The mechanic comes back to say, not to purchase the vehicle. The mechanic stated: horn is inoperative, front right sway bar link is broken, lower radiator support is pushed back and bent needs replaced, lower engine cover is broken in several places and held in place with wire, left front inner wheel well liner is broken, subframe has markings on it indicating it is used and has been replaced, coolant reservoir is empty with no visible leaks, engine oil is dirty, transmission fluid is dirty, engine air filter is dirty, excessive amount of dirt and mud caked on the underside of the vehicle and inside the wheels, right front tire had 12psi with no sign of puncture in tire and has uneven tire wear,evap vent filter is dirty, the cabin air filter and fuel injection service are recommended. I call Jonathan and let him know that the mechanic told me not to buy the vehicle and he responds "well it is on warranty". This place is just down right shady. They took advantage of my lack of knowledge on buying a vehicle, knew exactly what they were doing, and then force me to work with the same guy that screwed me over the first time, just for him to try and pull another fast one over me. Like seriously?? These people do not care what they are selling people. More than one issue on the Kia they tried to sell me, failed safety inspection. I tried to contact Doug back twice and he has not returned my calls. I now have to chalk it up to a loss and keep dealing with the issues of the frame/unibody damage on my vehicle. Seriously people, do not go here to buy a car. PS the carfax on the KIA came back clean as a whistle, so don't always trust the carfax either. More
