Dave and Taylor helped with a check engine light diagnosis. Though they were not able to get the light to turn off (yet, they are committed to figuring it out), they were wonderful in explaining w diagnosis. Though they were not able to get the light to turn off (yet, they are committed to figuring it out), they were wonderful in explaining what they were going to do, then what they actually did, then why. And when fix #1 didn’t work, they brought in additional help and provided a number of free parts, just to make sure there wasn’t an issue in testing. In all, the team provided $300-$400 of free parts and labor, and took an hour of time to come talk about the situation. I never thought I would feel this positive after a team didn’t fix the problem (check engine light is still on), but they showed true concern for the situation, and a real desire to fix it. I would have previously said “of course they are happy to work on it, they get more money if they do.” But, when they started working on it for free, (no labor cost) and throwing in parts for free, it became apparent that they cared about the PROBLEM, and were not trying to suck my wallet dry.
