I usually do not post reviews unless I can post a positive. In this case I am making an exception. Purchase from this dealership at your own risk, They will lie, Steal, Cheat and do everything they can to get every penny out of you. I was looking for a new 2012 Ram 1500 when I went into the dealership and I made the mistake of purchasing it from these people. I went into this dealership because they were advertising a ram 1500 for what I thought was a good deal. When I got there they drove me around the lot for 10 minutes I was told, Oh no we sold this ram so lets show you another new truck, So he takes me to a ram advertised for $37K, It did have a few more features than the one advertised. I look at it, take it for test drive and decide to go ahead and purchase it. So we go into the office and the sales guy goes and gets and offer for my trade. After, About 5 minutes he comes out and tells me "Great news, We have you a Awesome offer", The offer is $39K with $10K trade in and a heavy push to 390 a month with no mention of how long. So I said NO! My car is worth at least $19K, And you are ADVERTISING this truck for $37K the MSRP, And Dodge is advertising $4K cash back that you didn't even mention. Get me a reasonable offer. after 3 more times of going back and forth we finally get to a somewhat reasonable deal or so I thought. Basically $31K after the $4000 rebate but before trade in and 18K trade, About $9K financed. Now all this isn't all that out of the norm so much, Things get screwy after this. First I am ushered into the service managers office. I get the hard sale on Tire plan, Undercoating, Rustproofing, etc... for another $1800. I outright said NO!. He turns around and ok, ok, no lets do this for $1500, Again I say NO, So finally he comes back with $1K. This is where I kinda cave, and went ahead and got the plan. So he prints out the paperwork, I do a look over, And low and behold the price he put in was $1800, I hand it back and he say, Oh sorry let me print out a new one. The next one was correct. Now I am ushered to the finance office. The finance guy tells me he has 3 options for me. Option number one $277 a month if you buy the GAP plan, Option 2, Buy the extended service plan for $1500 and the payment will be $224 month then he stops. So after a brief pause, I ask what is option 3? He says oh, don't buy either and pay $254 month. HUH!? He goes on to explain your finance company will extend the plan out 4 months to compensate you for the plan. (I am later told by my finance company that this was an outright lie.) Well Ok, I think that is fair enough. So kinda tired at this point and thinking payment, I agree. I read over everything and I start to sign all the the paperwork. After about the third signature, He says Oh wait, There is a small mistake throws it in the shredder before I can say anything and prints out a new copy. Thinking he didn't have anytime to change anything and again at this point 3 hours later I am tired, I casually glance it down, See the payment is still the same and go ahead and sign. I get home that night and look over the paper work and low and behold, They had changed the financed amount from $9K to $19K. The reason the payment didn't change was they had increased the term to 72 months, So the actual payment changed by $2. Now I went back and complained and the after talking to 4 different people, I asked for copy of the original offer, however conveniently that was thrown away. Eventually after enough complaining and yes some yelling on my part The guy who I understood to be the owner of the dealership literally told me to (Cuss) off and get out of his dealership. I couldn't believe it, So I left. On my way out, He yells enjoy your new truck (cuss) (But not so nice). To make things more difficult one of the things they have you sign a binding arbitration agreement, Which I thought was fairly harmless, However, I now find out via my lawyer this makes things costly to do anything, and by the time I am done Ill be out at least what I was ripped off with no guarantee Ill get anything back. Now I admit, It is my fault for not thoroughly double checking the second set of papers he printed out thinking he didn't have time to change anything. Keep in mind we were going on 4 hours and I was getting tired and hungry. So while this is really no excuse, I do believe it can happen to the best of us. To at least get some of my money back I canceled the service plan via registered mail. However when the money was credited to my account they deducted $50 from that. This Despite the service plan contract said FULL refund within 30 days. Now to top everything off, I had to head straight to the gas station that night because they couldn't even be bothered to put couple dollars of gas in the tank. I complained to the BBB, However they have an F rating so I don't expect anything from that. I complain to States AG, However they say while this isn't even close the first complaint they have received there really isn't anything they can do. I complain to Chrysler, FTC, Jeff City DMV. But all these places can really do is record the complaint and maybe act on it some time in the future, Again though, All of them tell me they have heard many complaints about this dealership. The best I can hope for is that others won't be caught up in this. Please be aware there are about 4 or 5 other dodge dealerships in the area. If by chance you do decide to purchase from them, Be very careful about EVERY aspect of the purchase, They can and will change stuff on you. More
My wife and I saw a sign on a Ram Quad Cab at Landmark on Noland Rd. for $18998-no asterisks or other notations. We stopped, took a test drive with salesman Bart, and decided to purchase the truck We had a b Noland Rd. for $18998-no asterisks or other notations. We stopped, took a test drive with salesman Bart, and decided to purchase the truck We had a blank check loan document and informed them that was how we would be purchasing it. After our offer was written and submitted to the Manager, Bart informed us that he had forgotten to tell us up front that the price did nto include freight of $1100. We asked to speak to the manager who told us that Bart had made a mistake and that s how he ran his business. He stated if we didn t like it we could leave. We informed him that we would purchase the vehicle anyway, but that we were going to let Chrysler know about the deceptive practice and he stated that he did not want our business and we should leave. He stated that the sale truck (only 1 @ this price) was meant to get traffic in and hopefully switch buyers to another vehicle. When I suggested that sounded unethical, he demanded that we leave or he would call the police. He refused to give us his business card or even his name and scolded 2 other sales people that I asked who he was. We asked for our paperwork back, which included personal info on a form Bart said they needed for identification. We then found out they ran a credit report WITHOUT OUR AUTHORIZATION. We finally asked a salesman on the lot the rude gentleman s name and he said it was Doug Fletcher. I have been a loyal Dodge customer and I understand that the dealer was not going to make much money on this transaction, but the outrageous treatment to a repeat customer who was willing to pay the full asking price on this bait car borders on insanity. I can t imagine that the Chrysler Corp. would condone or tolerate such behavior from a franchise dealer. More
Last Wednesday I pulled onto the lot at the Dealership. I was greeted at my Truck window by a Salesman,He asked me if i was "looking to buy a new vehicle today" i told him that i was there to find out the ac was greeted at my Truck window by a Salesman,He asked me if i was "looking to buy a new vehicle today" i told him that i was there to find out the acv (acual cash value) on my truck. This must have humored him because he repeated what i said and than laughed. He than informed me where i could park and i pulled around to that area.As my Wife and i got out of the truck the Salesman started to walk towards the Sales building,I asked if he was going inside to get the person to value my truck. He turned around and said "That's not our policy..we like to put people in a vehicle first before we discuss that. At that point I told my wife let's go, and that is what we did. I drove about a 1/2 mile down the road to the Kia Dealership and purchased a car that day.I should note that when i told the Salesman (Mike) at Kia that i wanted to know the Acv on my truck his response was "alright come on in". What a great experience I had at the Kia Dealership. On the other hand, I will never shop at the Landmark Dodge Dealership again, and i will let others know about my experience. More
This would have been the 3rd vehicle we would have purchased from them. We test drove a new car and was gonna trade in our old one, but we didn't like the numbers so they told us to take new car home purchased from them. We test drove a new car and was gonna trade in our old one, but we didn't like the numbers so they told us to take new car home for the night and come back in the morning and think on it. So we did but when we came back next morning and said no deal just give us our old car back. They got all irate and rude and said no we can't do that we had a deal plus we don't have your keys or your car. After arguing back and forth they finally brought our car back to us kept our money we had put down as good faith, told us to leave the lot and they wouldn't sell us anything ever! I will never go back there or will ever recommend them to anyone! Buyeres beware! More
My husband and I (along with our 7 and 9 year old boys) stopped at Landmark to purchase a 2011 Town & Country. We went for a test drive in one, then another and decided on the second one. We did not try stopped at Landmark to purchase a 2011 Town & Country. We went for a test drive in one, then another and decided on the second one. We did not try to haggle on price then discussed our trade in. Our salesman told us the offer the sales manager gave, which was way too low. We advised what our bottom dollar would be to finalize the deal. Our salesman said that in order for him to go back to the sales manager we had to write him a check or give him $100 cash which we refused to do. Then he said we would have to let him take our debit or credit card to the manager to show we were serious buyers. We explained that we were there on the day before Easter so we were serious. He left and came back a few minutes later and said the manager wouldn't talk to him without seeing cash, check or card. We told him to have a nice day and left. On the way to our car my husband stopped in the other building to ask the manager why this policy is in place that we have to pay them to discuss a deal and that if we reached a deal we would have given them the check. The manager puffed his chest out, told my husband that it is his policy and that's the way it is. I will NEVER buy a vehicle from a dealership that makes a person feel physically threatened and that requires a customer to pay them in order to discuss the price of a car or trade in. More
It's been a disappointment from the second we signed our name on the dotted line, just like the above commentator wrote. It is unbelievable how these people, mainly the service side, have a job. The service name on the dotted line, just like the above commentator wrote. It is unbelievable how these people, mainly the service side, have a job. The service manager, Steve Markley, had nothing but rude and condescending comments when the service dept. scratched a chrome piece on our van. His unfortunate retort was, "We don't claim to walk on water. We ordered you a part to replace it." This happened while we were trying to get our first free oil change and to get our remote start installed, which took them a week to schedule, only to find out they didn't have the remote start parts and that they needed to be ordered first. They were supossed to call us to schedule the appt., but we ended up having to call them to schedule it. Since we already paid for the part, it's no wonder they didn't rush to get us in. A week later, when the appt. was made, they turned us away, saying the mechanic is out on a back injury and they couldn't do it today. That's when we noticed the scratched chrome piece to the gear shifter. They said they would order a new piece and that's when the service manager became punitive in his remarks. We had to take this up with the sales executive, Doug, and we calmly informed him that we refuse to take our vehicle back to Landmark, even to get the part fixed. We will be getting it fixed at our local dealership. More
CHECK out the BBB rating before shopping their(unfortunately for me I didnt think to research before going there) The rating is the worse I have EVER seen. Every where you look for reviews f their(unfortunately for me I didnt think to research before going there) The rating is the worse I have EVER seen. Every where you look for reviews for LANDMARK DODGE, its the same issue, different people..WHY ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS? They are as friendly as possible until you sign your name on the dotted line, their "customer service" gets lost with the respect shortly there after. I been to the dealerships 3 times in 2 weeks, for them to correct a problem just for them to say "oo the service dept is closed". I paid an additional $350, before I even had ownership of the vehicle, no mats $80 , no gas $70, additional Key fab $200. The ONLY reason we chose them is because they were $5-6k lower than EVERYONE else, but the headache that arose from them is not worth it...*Never in a million years, would I recommend them or purchase another vehicle. They "threw" in a free oil change" but I'll pass I dont want them to EVER touch my vehicle.. Lees Summit dodge is where I will have my all my service work done. Wonderful people there...KUDOS to Nugene..what a wonderful and Honest man!!!!! More
I went to Landmark Dodge to buy a car I was a repeat customer I have never had a more insulting experience in my life! I attempted to puruse a vehicle I knew I could afford. The vehicle cost 6988 and af customer I have never had a more insulting experience in my life! I attempted to puruse a vehicle I knew I could afford. The vehicle cost 6988 and after making me wait 24 hours and costing me a deal someplace else. They decided to tell me that the Bank wanted 3900 down and larger payments than $175 A month!..What a crock of crap. If I had 3900 down for a car I could have bought a new car for much less than an 11 year old truck! I believe that Landmark Dodge does not want to sell cars they would rather xxxx any customer they can find! My advice do not buy a car from these folks you will not get a good deal no matter what car you are looking to buy. In addition the salesman was constantly telling me to stay where I was not to go out side to have a cigarette. My biggest regret in dealing with then was that I was naive enough to think that being a loyal repeat customer would mean something Landmark Dodge is a symbol of what is wrong with this country. Once upon a time customer loyalty meant something there was respect, but no longer. Now there is no sense of community the customer has become just a faceless bag of money. I am dissapointed I bought my first car from Landmark Dodge in 1997 and I was excited to return to where in my opinion, I thought I was treated fairly. But times change, now my opinion has changed, they changed it. The business tactics I witnessed were deplorable considering the way I was treated yes they brought me a cold bottle of water that was appreciated; but, the rest of it was not. Not everyone has perfect credit, not everyone makes 50k per year, not everyone can afford to buy a brand new car every 3 to 5 years, and NO ONE person should be treated as if they were a criminal and be subjected banking rates reserved for the worst of the worst. The last 5 years have been rough for everyone car companies included you would think, and common sense would seem to suggest, that taking a smaller profit and selling more cars in the long run would be preferable to alienating any customer. I do realize that much of car prices are blamed on the union workers in the factories; yet, somehow I believe that multi-million dollar executive salaries and bonuses play an enormous part in the price of the car. I have concluded that, the Price of the doing business with Landmark Dodge is not worth any vehicle you could buy from them. My advice....never buy anything from them show them that customer respect should be the highest priority. Infact as much as I hate to say it (as I grew up with Dodge in mylife) Do not buy any Dodge anywhere. Perhaps The clear message can be sent, without the "Customer" they are nothing. More
How is this jack off still in business? After negotiating and him calling me names I told him I was about to kick the living $hit out of him. He ran off and got Billy some used car manager. He tried defusing and him calling me names I told him I was about to kick the living $hit out of him. He ran off and got Billy some used car manager. He tried defusing the situation but that wasnt going to happen. The damage was done! How did this dealership make the cut? I will never return to this dealership! More
