I stopped by Steve Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep looking for a 2013 Black Dodge Dart GT. When I got out of my car John Jackson greeted me and ask how he could help me and what I was looking for. I told him for a 2013 Black Dodge Dart GT. When I got out of my car John Jackson greeted me and ask how he could help me and what I was looking for. I told him and he asked me to come into the showroom that he might have something I would be interested in. They had a 2013 Black Dodge Dart Mopar Edition. John worked hard to get my deal for me and I left driving my new car and couldn't be happier. They have the best selection and treat you right. More
I have purchased 4 Toyotas from Landers Toyota in the past 7 years. All of those buying experiences I would rate excellent. Unfortunately, each time I returned to purchase another vehicle, my past sale past 7 years. All of those buying experiences I would rate excellent. Unfortunately, each time I returned to purchase another vehicle, my past sales person had moved on. On my most recent purchase, a RAM Truck, I opted to work with Phil Witworth, of the Landers Toyota dealership, because I am friends with his father-in-law and more importantly, I told him previously, that I would seek him out when I next needed a vehicle. So I did. I was concerned about working with Phil, at the time, only because, I was buying a RAM, not a Toyota and was worried about any conflicts and lack of cooperation between Landers Toyota and Steve Landers RAM dealerships. I was told by Phil, "there would be no problems." So I went ahead and worked with Phil. From the onset, there was one problem right after another during the buying process. Firstly, it became obvious, almost immediately that Phil was, “the middle man”, between Steve Landers RAM and me. Everything I asked about had to be funneled through someone at the Steve Landers RAM dealership. But, no matter what, I went ahead and ordered a 2013 RAM 1500 Sport truck. Two weeks later, I was informed, again through Phil via someone at the RAM dealer that the 2013 models could no longer be ordered. Funny thing, I actually was told the very same thing by one of Landers’ competitors, 3 weeks prior to my order, but somehow the Great and Mighty Landers folks didn’t have a clue about this. Again, I believe I was at a disadvantage because, Phil was not one of the Dodge Boys across the highway and the Boys at Dodge could not care less about his order for me. Now keep in mind that Landers already has $500.00 deposit money from me, and I’ve stopped looking around thinking they were going to get my order through the system. So I get a call, again from Phil, via someone at the RAM dealership, stating, oh sorry, you can’t have a 2013, but, we can get you a 2014 and oh btw, the color you want is no longer available, but, there is a new color that is “very close” to what you wanted. So, color unseen, I agreed to have Phil, again, via the RAM dealer, place another order for me. Now here’s the really slippery part of the deal. Phil had agreed to take my Venza in trade for $20K and I would owe Landers $18K when I picked up my truck. Again, here I thought that the Landers team was really applying their customer satisfaction practices on me by not baulking about the fact that I’d be driving the Venza for another 6-8 weeks until my truck came in, or, that I may owe more money upon delivery. Nothing, absolutely nothing, was said about any of this, that is, until I arrived to pick up my new truck. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. During the 6-8 week promised delivery, I inquired from time to time for status of my order. Every time, again, Phil would have to make contact with his “associates” at the RAM dealership and then get back to me. Each time it would take at least a day turnaround. And each answer was basically, “Dan, you’ll get your truck when it comes in – and we don’t have a clue about where it is in the pipeline.” And added to this statement was always, “now if you had purchased a Tundra, we’d be able to pinpoint the exact status of your truck every day of the week.” That didn’t make me feel too good as you can imagine. Then, about 3 weeks into the order cycle, I get a call from the RAM dealership asking to “confirm a delivery appointment” for my truck on July 26th. Imagine my surprise! I said, “this is great news and such fast service as I only ordered my truck about 3 weeks ago!” Dead silence on the phone. Then, the caller says, “let me get back to you!” 15 minutes later I get a call from none other than Steve Landers Jr. himself, saying, “there’s been a mix up in scheduling but we checked on your truck and it will be here on August 1st!” Again, great news! Well August 1st came and went, and yes, after every inquiry I made, I got the same boilerplate answer. Somewhere along the line of inquires I was told that my truck would “ship on August 24th.” August 24th came and went with no contact from Phil about the status. So again, the pest, Dan, called Phil again, and asked for status and again, I got the same BS answer. So this time I got a little pissed. I was promised a truck in 6-8 weeks and now I’m looking at 13+ weeks. I decided to phone up Mr. Steve Landers Sr., and, I got his voicemail. I left him a message that basically said, “please find my truck and reset my expectations as to when I’ll take delivery.” I get an immediate call back from the Man himself and he says, “your truck will be here tomorrow!” Well, color me happy! It actually arrived in two days, not one, but who’s counting! On Friday of that week I was able to actually pick up my new pickup! Happy day for sure! NOT! I was presented with a bill, not for the $18K due as agreed with Phil, and as documented/scribbled in his handwriting on a worksheet, but now it’s $21K! Oh sorry Dan, this is due to “price increases.” And “we told you about this long ago.” NO - They did not tell me any such thing! I was not happy about this as you can imagine. So we had some “words” but I agreed to the petty extortion of another $3K from my wallet and took possession of my truck. Luckily the “RAM Delivery Advocate” from Chrysler Corp. was there this day, and he actually “delivered” the truck to me and he absolutely did a great job. So the day ended with me having $3K less in my wallet and a killer stress headache. But the fun doesn’t stop here! Oh no! That night, I realized that Phil had forgotten to give me credit for my $500.00 deposit and now, I’ve overpaid for the vehicle. I called Phil immediately and he of course had no idea that this had happened. He promised to get back to me the next morning with a confirmation of a credit. Well that next morning at 11:30AM I had to make another call to Phil asking about my credit. After reminding Phil, again, about this credit, I finally got it. Lessons Learned: - Never do business with a Toyota salesperson when you’re buying a RAM truck, even if you know his father-in-law and even if you told him that you would look him up for your next purchase and even if you know that he’s in fact really a nice guy! Never ever, do business with friends or friends of friends! - Realize that just because the Landers family own and operate two competitive dealerships that sit on opposite sides of the highway, they do not cooperate with each other. - Document everything – get everything in writing – get it witnessed - trust nothing to a handshake or verbal agreement with the Landers crew. - If they tell you that delivery will be in 6-8 weeks – double it! I feel badly about this horrible experience, only because, I had to get angry, with a friend, with a nice person; Phil Witworth. I really don’t like having to chase people for status when you’re forking over $40K+ for a new vehicle. $40K is pocket change for the Landers folks I know, but to me, it took years of saving to afford this truck and having to pay an extra $3K for it just does not sit well with me. I really feel like I was taken advantage of, and I partially blame myself for not acting like a New York lawyer when I negotiated my deal. I acting like I was dealing with family and that was a big mistake. Very regrettable experience. Dan Daddieco UPDATE: Sept. 5th, 2013: It's hard to remember everything that transpired in the past 13+ weeks, but after I wrote and published this review I thought of another questionable practice that I, once again, feel, I feel victim to - and - believe it needs mentioning here. When I agreed to the final purchase price of the the 2013 RAM, I pulled out a Landers Trade-In Certificate, printed on official looking Landers letterhead, that was sent to me (with my NAME printed right on it), 3 days beforehand, which qualified me for an "additional $500 towards the value of my trade." I was denied the use of this "Official Landers Certificate", because, are you ready for this: "we have already included this amount in the value of your trade!" That's what my agent said. What he did not say or stipulate anywhere, was, "the value of your trade is being increased by $500 because of our Landers Certificate Program." Funny how this Certificate suddenly had ZERO value to me. Then, move the clock ahead 13 weeks, I received yet another "offer" from Landers, stating, again, (with my NAME printed right on it) "if you own your trade-in and want to finance your new vehicle we will offer you ZERO % financing!" Again, I presented this Landers FREE Financing offer when I picked up my truck and AGAIN, I was denied this option. Why you may ask? This time, the offer was only for "Loyal Toyota Customers!" You see, I bought a Landers RAM! Did I mention that I have purchased "4 new Toyotas in the last 7 years from Landers?" I guess that's just not enough "loyalty" to qualify for this offer. Lesson Learned: Any offers from Landers are purposed to ONLY get you into their showroom. They have ZERO value to a "loyal customer!" And lastly: Thank you for that $3,000.00 can of chocolate chip cookies and my 3 "free" oil changes! I will savor every bite and count the miles! Cha-ching! I'll see you at my 5000 mile check up. By then, I'm sure, no one will remember my name. More

I first went to the Toyota Dealership looking for Terrence whom I had made contact with on the internet about a particular auto. I met "Troy" and he kindly offered to find Terrence for me and the au Terrence whom I had made contact with on the internet about a particular auto. I met "Troy" and he kindly offered to find Terrence for me and the auto I was interested in. He told me he was at the other dealership and offered to drive me over there to locate him. I suggested he get in my car with me and show me where to go. He did. When we got to the other dealership, Troy found Terrence but he was with a customer so Troy found the auto I was looking for and helped me all the way through my trade and purchase. He was the nicest salesman I have ever had. He explained so much to me about the financing and the best decision for my benefit. He stayed with me long after he should have been off duty. He offered help after the sale and promised to see personally that I get the floor mats (which were missing)and bring them to Conway to me, himself. He should get credit for the sale but he gave it to Terrence which, to me, should be his, as he was with me for hours and did everything himself. What a nice man! I love my 2010 Cadillac CTS. This is the 2nd vehicle I have purchased from "Steve Landers." I have my 2008 Tundra and I love it. The service is unparalleled at "Landers". I have had two positive experiences but this one was even better, because of "Troy Sanders". Terrence was very nice also. More

We came to Little Rock from south Arkansas looking to trade for a 2013 GMC Sierra. After several stops at other dealerships we were very frustrated with our findings. We then started looking at pre-owned trade for a 2013 GMC Sierra. After several stops at other dealerships we were very frustrated with our findings. We then started looking at pre-owned GMC's which lead us to Steve Landers CDJ...after about 10 mins looking at pre-owned we were ready to leave..Winston Marshall came up to us and began a polite conversation, asked if we had driven a new Dodge, told him we weren't interested but would look..long story short..we bought a Dodge that day! More truck than we had expected! Winston is one of the most pleasant, laid back salesmen we have ever dealt with, he should give training classes!! Making the deal was more of a long drawn out process than we had hoped for, but in the end we were satisfied!! More
