Finding the car I wanted I looked on line to see what was available and in doing so, my phone number, etc. was given to several dealers. Steve Landers Chrysler, etc. was the I looked on line to see what was available and in doing so, my phone number, etc. was given to several dealers. Steve Landers Chrysler, etc. was the first to call me and make an appointment for me to see a salesman. When I visited with the salesman, I told him what had happened to my previous van and what I wanted in a relatively new used van. He stated that there were only a few which had the features I wanted and finally found a 2016 Honda Odyssey which had the bells and whistles I wanted. The price was a little higher than I wanted and he said he had gone down as much as he could, indicating he was no) We settled on the deal and proceeded to do the paper work. My van had been totaled and I had not received the settlement yet and was allowed to write a down payment check for them to hold. (this also becomes part of the story) The deal was done and I was satisfied. Within a couple of days, on a Friday, I called my salesman to tell him that I could cover the check and for them to go ahead an run it through. The next day, Saturday, I received a call from the financial department asking if they could run the check through. I told them that the day before, I had called my salesman and told him to tell the appropriate person to do that. The financial person told me he had not received the message. No problem but I wanted to know what was going on. I called and asked for my salesman and was told that he no longer worked there! I asked to speak to a sales manager. I told him the story and he said the salesman had just not been able to make a living there and had moved on. Again, "no harm, no foul", but it put a bad taste in my mouth. The sales manager assured me that everything was ok and that I was a valued customer, etc, etc. I have a service contract and assume that I will be happy with the service. I have experience with the Steve Landers Toyota dealership and had no problems. One other thing, some of the reviews I have read have not been so great and I wonder about that......................
