Everyone is very friendly and inviting at Land Rover Alexandria, from buying my LR4 to the service center...I am happy to purchased my car and have it serviced there! More

We earlier (last year) had purchased a used Range Rover from Land Rover Alexandria, and the experience was (almost) pleasant, so we decided to return to LRA when we wanted another used RR. (Purchasing a car is never pleasant; one feels taken advantage of during the entire process. But, the only unpleasant part of our first experience purchasing a RR from LRA was that we were badgered to finance the purchase when we preferred to pay cash. It was peculiar how hard we were pushed to finance; but we declined.) The second time around went just as well. We had a different salesperson only because the first gentleman was on vacation. Both salespersons (Sam and Larry) were wonderful -- not pushy, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this Land Rover dealer. By comparison., we did not feel comfortable with the Land Rover dealership in Tysons Corner....we originally had visited that dealership to purchase the first car -- because it's much closer to out home -- but were put off, even offended. So we headed down to LRA even though it's a hassle for us to have our cars serviced there. We were not disappointed. More
Just a horrible experience with this dealership After a few months of searching for the correct options and colors I stumbled across a used car on their website that met the criteria of what I was l After a few months of searching for the correct options and colors I stumbled across a used car on their website that met the criteria of what I was looking for. I live in Richmond and Alexandria is about 2 hours away so the decision to make the drive was not an easy one. When we arrived I spotted the car immediately on their lot, a 2010 Porsche Cayenne S. We went in a were greeted by a very friendly salesman, I wish I could remember his name, he was an older gentleman and he was the highlight of my buying experience. We took the test drive and I instantly fell in love with the car. I financed the car and was heading back to Richmond in it and that's when the most horrid experience I have ever had happened. I hit Quantico and the engine light came on, I pulled over and called the dealership and talked to the Manager Rob Singh and told him what was happening. He said they were closing in 10 minutes and wouldn't be open again until Monday (this was on a Saturday). He told me I could bring the car back and leave it in the lot and they'd get around to looking at it sometime the following week to see what the issue was. I asked if I took it to the Porsche dealership in Richmond and they diagnosed it would that be satisfactory and if repairs needed to be made I would bring the car back to Alexandria LR to fix the problems under the dealerships 30 day warranty to which he agreed and he even told me that he would reimburse me for the diagnostic fee. I took the car to Porsche here and town and the diagnostics turned up two problems, a faulty wire on the water pump and a censor in the oil pan which meant the oil needed changing. I called Mr. Singh and told him about the troubles, he told me to bring the car back to the dealership and they would get the issues fixed and give me a loaner car. I took the car back and came back in the loaner, a few days went by and they called and said the car was repaired so back to Alexandria I went. Mr. Singh produced a bill which I asked for a copy of for my own records to document work on the car, he gave me a copy and then I handed him the bill for the diagnostics, he said whats this? I told him the bill for diagnostics, he replied I paid for these repairs with my own money, why would I pay for the diagnostics? At this point I was willing to eat my diagnostic money just so I could get my car and go home, i took my keys and left. As I am driving home I hit Quantico again and the engine light comes back on. I pulled over and called Mr. Singh and told him the light was back on. He tells me to take the car to Porsche in Arlington to get it looked at so I do. After a hour there the manager of the dealership tells me the sensor needs replacing and that I need to wait for my extended warranty to kick in so the repairs could be done, in three weeks. I asked if the sensor would cause any damage to the engine, the manager and the head mechanic both said no so I took my keys and left for Richmond. As I drove back I called Mr. Singh one last time and asked why I had to wait three weeks for the repairs, he said that's when the extended warranty picks up from the dealership's 30 day warranty. I replied why is the dealership not paying for this under the initial 30 day warranty to which he replied because that repair isnt covered under the warranty. I came back to Richmond took the car to the Porsche dealership here, they put the work in under my warranty which was active the day I purchased the car. I finally got my car fixed no thanks to Alexandria LR or their manger. All in all I was out $150.00 dollars in diagnostic fees, 3 tanks of gas of 4 days of work. More

Buyer Beware! After spending several days negotiating Buyer Beware! After spending several days negotiating via phone and email and making a deposit, I drove from NJ to the dealership to pick up my 201 Buyer Beware! After spending several days negotiating via phone and email and making a deposit, I drove from NJ to the dealership to pick up my 2013 Range Rover Sport with less than 10K miles and advertised as in "new" condition. Upon arrival and inspection of the car, I found an undisclosed significant hole in the middle of the backseat leather. Of course, it not been disclosed. Disappointed, I knew they had a second Sport for a few hundred dollars more so to remedy the time invested, I moved towards that car. Smelling blood, the sales manager changed the price by several thousand dollars claiming the dealership had more invested in the car, but couldn't substantiate it with service records of invoices. Six hours later, I left with the car, not the car I came for, but a car nonetheless. My introduction to Range Rover was the most painful car buying experience ever. Just plain unethical, poor service, bait and switch sales tactics. Worse, registration paperwork didn't come for six weeks and to date, I haven't received the second key to the car which was promised within a week of my purchase at end of November. These cars are now at the top of their game. You're better off buying from a dealership better than this one! More

He did a fine job keeping me informed about advertised specials on their cars. This November Tim called and said they had fantastic lease rates on Evoque's. On a Sunday I went in and took a test drive. They worked out a payment and term that was affordable. The following week Tim and I talked and I brought my trade in for an appraisal. Amanda the Sales Manager gave me all the money for my trade. More than any dealership would. My deciding factor in leasing a car from Tim was the great customer service and knowledge he provided, plus his no pressure style. When my lease is up we will be back to see Tim. Bruce Y. More
