I have recommended Land Rover of Alexandria to others who have experienced the same we did. Great service, great prices, extremely helpful sales and service employees. Having looked a literally 30 different cars and trucks over the last year and getting close to a few different SUVs on a couple of occasions, I decided to drive one of the few vehicles that I had never d over the last year and getting close to a few different SUVs on a couple of occasions, I decided to drive one of the few vehicles that I had never driven before - a Land Rover. Without hesitation, I went to Alexandria Land Rover and was paired with Brandi - hands down the best salesperson of I ever bought a vehicle from. She knew the product - and LR4 - like the back of her hand, but let the truck sell itself over the course of a long test drive that included a significant side trip to let my wife see it. Decided to buy the truck on the spot, but it was late, so I was back the next evening after work. No fuss, no hard sales, a very fair price and trade in, none the typical after sale selling of coats and under coats. Out like the breeze. Very happy with the truck since and recommend the whole team there, especially Brandi and Amanda very highly. More
I purchased a new Evoque from Brandi Sensenig at the Alexandria Land Rover dealership. The Evoque is an incredible car and Brandi made the process simple and easy. The folks who run this place must think that because the manufacturer is so superior, that their sales and service departments can slack off! I highly recommend this dealership for their service department. The customer service here is outstanding. They get you in for service when promised, get the repairs done correctly the first time and get your vehicle back to you quickly. I purchased my LR3 from a dealer closer to me in Maryland. Because of poor service and several theft issues (CD's and change from the ashtray) I now travel to this dealership in Virginia. They have been great to deal with. I've been dealing with Chad Jamerson in service and he always takes care of me. When it's time to buy a new Landrover I will get it here as well! Chuck Clynes More
I purchased a used Toyota Camry LE. In addition to the car price I was charged $379 processing fee, $25.19 as Dealer Business License Tax, $99.50 for License plates. $10 for on line system filing fee, $10 car price I was charged $379 processing fee, $25.19 as Dealer Business License Tax, $99.50 for License plates. $10 for on line system filing fee, $10 for Title fee, $41 for state inspection fee, I did not understand some of these charges. for example $25.19, dealer business license tax. A charge of $99.50 for the licnese plates did not make any sense to me. State inspection fee of $41 was not right. I bought the care in November 2010 and car was inspected in July 2010. The sale person was very rude from the start and warned me that i was getting a good deal and if i have a problem with the sale he was going to give me my deposit back. I wanted to walk out of the dealership but my son who was with me consoled me because we were too far in the sale process to start looking for another car all over again. I had also requested to replace the trunk cover that was badly cracked and damaged but they replaced with another cover that was also cracked and damaged. I also asked for the floor mats that were missing and my understanding was that they would come with the car. But at the end of the sale I was told that floor mats don't come with the car due to some recall. I had to buy the floor mats separately. I had couple of other repairs that I had requested. They told me to come back on certain days. I have not gone back to them yet. Overall it was a bad experience and I would not deal with the same sale person again. Initially we talked to another sales person who was quite reasonable and polite but we did not see him at the final step of the sale process. More
I love Land Rover Alexandria! They are honest and fair every time I bring my Range Rover in for service. I have been using them for 5 years and I would highly recommend them. I have had Land Rovers for years and this was the worst experience I have ever had at a car dealership in my entire life. Came in to service my present car (Freelander) and possibly trade it in for a new m experience I have ever had at a car dealership in my entire life. Came in to service my present car (Freelander) and possibly trade it in for a new model (LR2). The service part, at first, seemed fine. The sales part, however, was a failure from the beginning. Nobody seemed to the least interested in showing me a car, and I was tossed like a ping pong ball even though I was one of two customers in the store. After almost two hours of nothing being done, I left my old car for service and came back home. Must say that I was prepared to buy the new car on the spot. Two days later, I came back to pick up the serviced car and was pointed with a finger (no words whatsoever) by the service representative to talk to the receptionist where I should pay for the service rendered. Paid for service, asked to speak to the sales manager to lodge a complaint, because the attention I had been given was so appalingly outrageous that I simply had to vent. After having paid and got to my car - without ever having been talked to by the service representative who seemed unfazed talking on the phone -, found out that after almost US$ 4,000.00 service my car had not been even washed. In fact it was dirtier than when I had brought it in. I would not waste my time writing this review if the experience I had at Land ROver Alexandria had not been the worst - and I repeat WORST - that I have had in my long years of owning a car. If you like consideration, attention and good service, keep distance from them. I will talk to all my friends who ownd LAnd Rover to keep away from them and I would recommend the Land Rover Dealership quality control to inspect this dealership closely beacaude they are simpky up to the standards that Land Rovers deserve. Don Beyer told me that I should weld my frame back together like he and his father did on lotus race cars! Okay, so a vehicle with frame damage caused by a defective weld at the factory is not someth together like he and his father did on lotus race cars! Okay, so a vehicle with frame damage caused by a defective weld at the factory is not something Land Rover will warranty...rediculous. I take my vehicle off road on Sundays- this was another reason Land Rover would not warranty the vehicle. The shop foreman (at time of damage) and multiple body shops placed the blame on a bad weld from the factory. Thanks for convincing me to buy two other brands of cars since this incident. More
