We appreciate your questions. When we inspected the vehicle, we noted slight cupping on the outside edges of the tires. We performed an alignment and made adjustments to bring the vehicle back in to Factory Specifications. With road construction, pot holes and numerous other possible root causes, your vehicle was out of alignment. We escalated your concern and started a case with Toyota Corporate. Toyota explained that certain road conditions will cause tire noise at parking lot speeds and that it is characteristic. We do not have a recommendation to eliminate the intermittent tire squeal. We did have a correction to your vehicle being out of alignment.

The damage to this vehicle was caused by rodents eating the wiring. This is not a warranty issue, but rather an auto insurance issue. The customer notified his insurance company. The insurance company requested the vehicle be driven to the insurance adjuster. Our Tech advised against driving the vehicle and the adjuster came to our dealership to appraise the damage. The insurance company did not negotiate with us, but rather dictated the repair they would authorize and the cost they would be willing to pay, based on the insurance policy their customer purchased. We cannot be responsible for any miscommunication between an insurance company and their client. We have multiple documented correspondence with both the insurance company and the customer and at no time were we directed not to make the repairs approved by the insurance company. If there is an issue with the quality of our repair, please let me know, if there is an issue with the type of repair made, please discuss with your insurance company. - Rick Price, GM

Rick, I find it amazing that the amount you charged for the repair exactly matched what the insurance company was paying on the claim to the penny. You guys are good. There was not any miscommunication between me and my insurance company as you stated. Thanks for offering the 2 free inspections as a result of this issue. Putting a contingency that I have all my Toyota Customer Care work done there to get them soured the deal for me. Not sure how they are connected, but I will gladly pay for my inspections and get my Toyota Customer Care maintenance done at another dealer.
