Purchasing a car is always filled with trade offs, pluses and minuses, advantages and disadvantages of each decision. Leonard was patient and more than willing to discuss at length our options during every step of the process. We ended up in a very good situation thrilled with the decision we eventually made. Second, we were never pressured or steered in a way that put Leonard's or the dealership's interests ahead of ours. It was obvious that Leonard had our best interests at heart. Last, Leonard made himself readily available and approachable through every step of the process whenever we had questions or concerns. We are more than completely satisfied and would gladly recommend Leonard and Lakeside Toyota to anyone looking to purchase a car! More
I had a very disappointing experience at Lakeside Toyota. I brought my vehicle in for a diagnostic, and it sat there all day without anyone even looking at it. I was told I’d receive a call after lunch with results and next steps—no one ever reached out. I had to follow up myself, only to be told they “couldn’t recreate the issue,” so no diagnostic was performed. After I pushed for them to run it anyway, I was later told the issue had actually been reproduced earlier that morning—yet no one communicated this or explained what was wrong or how they planned to fix it. When I picked up my vehicle, multiple warning lights immediately came on. I was then told it needed to stay overnight, which made no sense considering it had already been there all day with no progress. I purchased this vehicle from them in cash and also bought a warranty, which has turned out to be a complete waste. I eventually figured out the issue myself and had it repaired elsewhere—something they failed to do. I was contacted by HR and told they would work toward a resolution, but days later the only response was to bring the car back again. Overall, this was a frustrating experience with poor communication, lack of accountability, and no respect for the customer’s time. I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. More

I had collision repair work completed through the dealership’s collision center on my 2024 Toyota Corolla Hybrid under an insurance claim. When the vehicle was returned to me, there were visible i dealership’s collision center on my 2024 Toyota Corolla Hybrid under an insurance claim. When the vehicle was returned to me, there were visible issues that had not been corrected prior to delivery, including paint defects and incorrect rear decals. I made multiple attempts to have these issues addressed while I was still in Louisiana. Due to scheduling constraints and distance, the corrections were not completed at that time. After relocating out of state, I contacted the dealership again and requested a reasonable resolution, including authorization for correction at a qualified local repair facility or reimbursement upon estimate approval. On April 2, 2026, I sent a final written request documenting the unresolved workmanship issues and requesting a resolution. As of the time of this review, I have not received a response. For documentation purposes, I have filed complaints with the Louisiana Attorney General Consumer Protection Section and the Better Business Bureau, and I am in the process of filing with the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. This review reflects my direct experience with the repair outcome and the lack of resolution following multiple documented attempts to address the issue through the dealership. More
