Brought my 2007 Jeep Wrangler in for service due to "Gascap" showing on odometer. Found out from the dealer my ESIM had gone bad and I asked them to replace. The $11 part was put in and I was charged $97 for labor and $5.40 for miscellaneous parts and doc storage (WTF?!?!). When I got home I did some research on the part and found out it can be installed in under 2 minutes by hand, no tools needed. Yet I was charged a FULL hour for labor! Not too mention I had to sit and wait 3 hours for them to install it even with a scheduled appointment. Update on 9/2. After calling and leaving a message to complain about the charges, Robin called me back very quickly and offered to refund the full labor amount and said "Losing your business and referrals is not worth 1 hour labor." You know what... he is right! He was apologetic and extremely helpful. I explained to him that I wasn't looking for a free fix, just to be charged a fair amount for the work done and I was willing to pay something. He said I didn't have to which meant a lot to me. After my experience was fixed quickly, I'll be back. More

i appreciated the low pressure atmosphere that i experienced at lake norman chrysler. it was as easy as it gets. jack and i sat down at a computer and searched the used truck that i was looking for. experienced at lake norman chrysler. it was as easy as it gets. jack and i sat down at a computer and searched the used truck that i was looking for. we found it, jack brought it in and i approved the condition of the vehicle. we agreed on a fair price and it was done! the easiest deal i have ever made when purchasing a vehicle new or used. jay then took care of the paper work as well as getting me drinks and making sure i was comfortable through the entire process. the dealer ship is clean, very friendly and has a great atmosphere over all. i will go back when i am ready for my next auto. ii have purchased vehicles from lake norman chrysler in the past and im sure i will again. it is a model for what auto. dealerships should be!! thanks, bob pippin More
So, after much negotiating about a price for a 2011 Avenger, my girlfriend gets an interest rate of 9.99 percent. Our local Dodge dealer tells us he can get her 6.84, but they don't have the specific c Avenger, my girlfriend gets an interest rate of 9.99 percent. Our local Dodge dealer tells us he can get her 6.84, but they don't have the specific color she really wants, so she decides she'll suck up the percent rate to get the car she REALLY wants. I call Amanda to get a break down of the loan charges so I can figure out WHY the payment amount doesn't quite match up with what I am figuring on the loan. Amanda says, "there is a $699 processing fee, and a $499 ZURICH SHIELD fee." I ask her, "what the heck is a ZURICH SHIELD?" "It's a teflon coating we add to the cars to prevent stains". I tell her that I do not want the Zurich shield, to which she replies, "Oh, it's not an option, you HAVE to take it!" So, I speak with another dealer in West Virginia that has the same car and I ask him about the Zurich Shield. He says that they don't put that on the cars and I explained to him that they required it at Lake Norman dealership...I tell him that it sounds pretty dirty to add something to the loan I didn't ask for, to which he replies "It's actually illegal" He then goes on to explain that the dealerships actually borrow the money from the bank to loan to the customer, and by law, they can increase the interest rate to whatever they like (within a couple percentage points) to make a little money on the loan. So, it's off to our local Dodge dealer to buy the car. I would just be VERY careful dealing with this dealer. Their "good deal" is actually just a ploy to get you to the dealership where they can then add their ridiculous $699 processing fee and their $499 Zurich Shield fee. Your "good deal" you just negotiated just turned into $1200 over what you got the vehicle for, not to mention they STILL have to add the taxes, title, etc. I told Amanda, "perhaps your sales people should tell the customer upfront that there is a ZURICH SHIELD fee that is going to be added to the loan amount instead of acting like a snake and trying to sneak it in at the loan signing time. Never will I deal with a dealer like that again. And to think, I almost drove 3 hours to their dealership only to be played with. The other dealer in Front Royal warned us that they would try to do this, but we didn't believe him. We'll know better next time, and will tell EVERYONE we know to watch out for the scams they try to pull! More
