I recently had a bankruptcy discharge and was in need of a car. I also work a seasonal job and I usually don't work in the winter. I disclosed this information as soon as I walked into the dealership & I was told by the sales rep & finance manager Michelle this was not a problem. I signed a contract for a great used car, and my sales rep transferred my car insurance to the car right there in the dealership. I was sent a payment book by the finance company along with a letter thanking me for my business. I took a look at my credit report and it stated that I opened an account for a car with the finance company through Lafontaine. This gave me the impression that the car was mine as long as I made the payments. About a week after Michelle and her assistant began calling me saying that my deal may not be funded after all? even though I had the car and all of the paperwork and I needed to email her my financial info all over again which I sent to her. Now a month later,after I've made my 1st payment on the car I'm now told that since I am on unemployment that I can't afford the car and the deal won't be funded. This was not a problem when I got there but now it is. At this point I no longer want the car and am just interested in receiving my downpayment back along with other payments that I've made on the car. In the long run I feel that if the staff would have just been honest with me as well as the finance company from the beginning this misunderstanding would not have happened. From what I understand the finance company was understanding that I was working when they agreed to finance the car for me. Instead of being honest from the beginning, now the staff at Lafontaine harassed me and made me into the bad person when I provided them with honest information as soon as I walked in the door. I will never use Lafontaine again because they gave my family a "raw deal." More

I subsequently decided to purchase the Hyundai Elantra. This vehicle was an excellent choice, compared to the Honda Civic I previously considered. I was able to call Mr. Payne anytime, if I had any questions. Each time, he answered each question in a professional dignified manner. My salesman, Kuwan Payne, was very friendly and willing to take the time to help the customer find the right car. Although I already had a feeling of what car I wanted, visiting Lafontaine sealed the deal to take the time to help the customer find the right car. I went to your dealer because it was close to my home. I was introduced to Steve by Brian as I was unsure of the make of car I would be leasing and was told Steve would be very knowledgeable. From the get go, I appreciated and enjoyed Steve's sense of humor (reminded me of Raymond from the tv show, Everybody Loves Raymond). So he was even more of a pleasure to work with him. Steve was very knowlegeable regarding every car that I inquired about. He was extremely personable, honest and friendly. Steve was the best car saleman that I have ever had the pleasure work with, and I have been leasing cars over 20 years. He made me feel that I easily was his favorite cutomer, or even a family member!! He also told me how proud he was to work for this dealership; that they were above and beyond reproach. Would I recommend Steve Pierce to any of my friends and family, heck yes and have!! More
I leased a new Sonata in early December and could not be more pleased with the car, the employees, or the dealership.
