The cover ended up getting dragged under my car while I was driving. Now I need a new lower engine cover, which will cost me over $300. They won’t admit that it’s their fault, but another Hyundai dealership confirmed that it was not put back in properly and I have never gotten my vehicle serviced by anyone else…. Communication at Lafontaine is HORRIBLE. Getting a call back from them is near impossible. More

I can't say enough how attentive and responsive he was throughout the whole process, ensuring I was completely satisfied and taken care of! More
Watch your back at this dealership, particularly, if you work with Business Manager, Keith Brothers. If they tell you there's no remaining manufacturer's warranty, it may very well be a lie--and only becau work with Business Manager, Keith Brothers. If they tell you there's no remaining manufacturer's warranty, it may very well be a lie--and only because they just want to SELL you THEIR extended warranty--EVEN THOUGH THE FEDERAL LAW REQUIRES they disclose details of existing product warranties, and any warranties they try to sell you. This dealership? You can't trust them to do that. How do I know? Maybe, it depends on who you get. If it's their Business Mgr. mentioned above, definitely, watch out: He flat out lied to me. He claimed he verified that there was NO EXISTING MANUF Warranty. He sold me what he claimed was a $4,500.00 warranty, at a "deal" of $3,000--Turns out, both things were lies. He later admitted to me--on a subsequent visit--no bank would ever approve him selling that warranty at $4,500.00. I had to find out by accident, on my GMC app, that I HADN"T even NEEDED to buy a warranty from him at all, because there was in fact a year remaining on the GM Powertrain warranty--which I had told me is all I wanted. The only reason we were even talking about extended warranties is because he offered to "Give" me the warranty if I stopped negotiating with his sales person. Then, once I was in his office, that was a lie also--But he'd convinced me that it was still a great "savings." As I mentioned--Lie. I shouldn't have been surprised because he actually said to me, in front of witnesses, that he has "committed fraud [b]illions of times while working for LaFontaine." Then he literally added that, "ANYONE who has ever worked at LaFontaine has committed fraud." He later apologized, saying only that it wasn't smart to admit that out loud, and denying that he'd said billions of times, insisting that he had said "millions" instead. But he was so friendly and kind, and seems so "above board," that you likely wouldn't suspect him--until it is TOO LATE. Then, to make matters worse, before I personally discovered exactly how duplicitous he is, right after my sales person, who works under him, asked me to refer any future customers I knew his way, the Business Mgr. whispered in my ear, that if I bought any more vehicles there, or referred anyone, it had to go through his own son, who is a sales agent there as well. That's when I started to worry that his comment about fraud was even likelier to be the most honest thing I heard him say. But I didn't know just how accurate that worry was, until it was too late. He hadn't even disclosed to me that the warranty was cancellable. And, he never provided me with the details of any warranty. In fact, when I asked him directly for one, on a follow-up visit, he just refused, even when I asked several times. He said it covered everything any normal warranty covered and that I didn't need the paperwork. His sales person, in the office when I asked, quietly walked off, and returned on his own, quietly handing me the warranty coverage details he had just printed out. Oh, to boot, they didn't even clean the inside of my Terrain before delivery. I went back on a promise they would rectify that ... Waited three hours ... Sales person told me it had finally been cleaned, got in the vehicle? Nothing had even been touched. Business mgr said I shouldn't expect it to be cleaned. Yeah, so ... Go if you want. I wouldn't recommend it. More

Keith located the only other one at their Dearborn location, secured it and drove us there to pick it up. Keith made 100% sure thru the entire process that we were happy with the selection. The Hyundai Venue Denim has to be the most sought after vehicle in their lineup and extremely popular. We have already received many compliments on the vehicle. The financial staff as well was GREAT ! Congratulations to Keith and his wife on their newborn baby boy, and to my wife with her new car, yet to be named. More
A MUST READ: On 12/21/2022 my wife purchased a new 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid from LaFontaine Hyundai. Unfortunately, due to market conditions and limited inventory this dealership marks up hybrid models t Hyundai Tucson Hybrid from LaFontaine Hyundai. Unfortunately, due to market conditions and limited inventory this dealership marks up hybrid models thousands of dollars above MSRP. Other local dealers do not. We even put down $3,000 to help manage the payments. Nevertheless, we purchased the vehicle. A few days later, I noticed a "2.0D" badge on the rear of the vehicle instead of "hybrid". The 2.0D badge means 2.0 diesel engine. This model is not even sold in the United States. I notified the dealership immediately. They advised to bring the vehicle back to replace the rear badge. A few days later, I discovered numerous scratches and swirl marks all over the hood that apparently had been there from the time of delivery. The vehicle had never been washed. Even thought the vehicle had gone through a pre-delivery inspection, LaFontaine Hyundai never found or disclosed the damage or the wrong badging on the rear of the vehicle. Two huge oversights. Once again, I contacted the dealership and they suggested I bring it back to try to polish and buff out the scratches and swirl marks. Unfortuately, they were not able to. Both of these discrepancies should have been found, disclosed and corrected. Doing the right thing by the customer should never be this difficult. Rather, full disclosure of these issues was never provided. I complained to the new car sales manager to no avail. I left the dealership and went to Glassman Hyundai for inspection and second opinion. After close inspection it was revealed that the hood had apparently been repainted. Unbelievable! After learning of the news, I immediately contacted the sales manager Hunter Luchenbill , general manager Calvin Wiley and the owner Ryan LaFontaine. No one wanted to take responsiblity to address the issue. The owner Ryan LaFontaine never even bothered to respond. Hyundai Customer Service said it was a sales issue and directed me back to dealership. As a first time customer at LaFontaine, our entire experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. This should never happen to a new customer. It takes a long time for a business expecially, a car dealerhip to establish a good name and reputation with honesty and integrity. This was not what my wife and I were expecting. LaFontaine failed us on multiple levels. With that said, our experience was very disappointing and still no resolution in sight. As a result, I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere. More
Never take your vehicle to this service center! Just over 2 and a half weeks ago my partner and I took my Veloster here because the fan knob stopped working. He is a mechanic and before taking it in, he took a look at it and saw that is was all melted. It is sadly common for the car and we opened up a case with Hyundai. Hyundai said it is likely to be covered if we take it in and get it diagnosed at the dealer. They said in the case that the repair is not covered we would have to pay the $150 diagnostic fee. So We took it in and were told it shouldn't be more than 24-48hrs. We told them exactly what part was having the issue. A few days later after still not hearing anything about it,, WE were told that the part we asked them to look at still had not been looked at and they need an additional $313 for further diagnostic. We tell them we should not have to pay this because we told you what part had the problem, it has not even been looked at, and it's been way longer than the 24-48 hrs. They said they will talk to some people and figure something out and we still never heard back. Our case manager was working with us to try to make it right and at just over the 2 week mark we are told the only way it can be finished being diagnosed is if we approve the $313. Immediately after approving the additional charges they look into the part we told them to look at in the first place and they say that it was the problem and it will not be covered and we are stuck with the bill. We were without a car for over two weeks. Being a college student that also works full time I needed a way to get to work and school and they would not give me a rental car either so I had to borrow money to buy a cheap vehicle so i could keep working and going to class. Please never take your vehicle here unless you want to have them charge you for getting nothing done. More

Excellent experience First time to lease a vehicle --always bought outright previously. U came recommended by 2 friends (one leased, one bought outright). Don answered all First time to lease a vehicle --always bought outright previously. U came recommended by 2 friends (one leased, one bought outright). Don answered all questions, showed me the service dept and interduced me to the people there. Showed me how the car worked, made sure the seat position was correct for me and the stearing wheel was in the right angle for my reach. He also connected the blueray, which is wonderful; because if he hadnot, I believe it still would not be connected in 3yrs from now when I turn it in.Over all it was a wonderful experience. More
