They all stayed late to take care of me and this sale and that meant a lot because they could have easily asked for me to come back at a future date. I highly suggest LaFontaine Ford in Lansing as they are one of the few dealerships where the staff listens to the customers and work hard to match the owner with the right vehicle. More
Lost my business I found a truck online, scheduled a test drive. I called, left a message letting them know I would be late. When i arrived the manager Greg, was to busy visiting with a co-worker to even give me the keys. He finally stood up and gave me the keys from behind his desk and said someone would be out shortly. After a test drive, we sat with Jennifer and discussed the warming lights being on and asked whats the best deal they could do for us. After a 10 minute conversation with her manager, their response was "we can definitely make the numbers work for you" We asked her to be a little more specific and her answer was "well without a commitment from you we really cant say" Who commits to a vehicle if you dont know the final purchase price and they wont even run a diagnostic on the truck to determine why the warning lights are on? We will never go back there. Truly disappointed. We have purchased 3 vehicle in the last 2 years and this was by far the worst experience we have ever had. More
LaFontaine Ford Service gets the problem Fixed. I can't say enough good things about LaFontaine Ford's service department. I had originally purchased my 2016 Ford Explorer from Grand Ledge Ford and I can't say enough good things about LaFontaine Ford's service department. I had originally purchased my 2016 Ford Explorer from Grand Ledge Ford and from day one I had complained about the right front passenger seat rocking and making a noise when the vehicle was turning. Twice GLF looked at it and claimed they couldn't duplicate the problem though pulling out of the dealer it still existed. Finally I called Ford Motor Company to see what could be done, and they recommended taking it to another dealer which is how I ended up with LaFontaine. The people in service listened to my problem and discovered the issue and ordered a new seat track which resolved the problem. This dealer is where I plan to take my business from now on. They aren't consumed by trophies like GLF, they are consumed by customer satisfaction. More

Fast & Efficient Service!! TIM TINGLEY is a 10 PLUS We called from upstate, NY (an 8 hour drive each way) after Internet Shopping for almost a week, for a Used Yukon Denali or Cadillac Escalade. I felt We called from upstate, NY (an 8 hour drive each way) after Internet Shopping for almost a week, for a Used Yukon Denali or Cadillac Escalade. I felt like I had won the Lotto when I reached TIM TINGLEY. My husband and I have worked in the Automotive Business for over 25 years, he, as a Master ASE Tech, and me, in Upper Management. I was prepared to get the brush off, but was pleasantly surprised by TIM's soft spoken, knowledgeable, compassionate demeanor. He answered all of my questions, and then some. He went out of his way not to pressure me. His follow up was the best I have ever encountered. He wanted to check the R.O. on the car, as it was a high mileage vehicle. He not only did that, he sent us the R.O. so we could see exactly what was done, needed, and or recommended be done. He could tell I was very concerned about the upkeep and told me he wanted to go out and go over the car again, as if HE himself was looking to purchase it. He did an extensive hands on inspection, including a "nose test", no smokers, etc. He even sent a photo on my cell phone of a very minor scratch on the rear bumper. He treated me with the utmost respect during the entire procedure. I would recommend driving any distance to buy a Used Vehicle from Tim, because he will be your eyes, when you cannot be there.
