First Class Service I stopped in to see what LB Smith was all about, for I never had been there before. I was in the market for an Explorer gently used or new. I was greeted by JT Tomsa on the lot and said "Find me a white Explorer". He new his product inside and out and took the time to explain every option available. We ran some numbers and their offer for my trade in was spot on. I was escorted over to meet Don Barnes to run the financials and within a matter of minutes was on my way home to show my kids our new car. I had an excellent experience. More

I know from past experience that LB Smith ford has employees that are straight-forward, honest and the MOST important trait of being NOT pushy. I called in that same day and Dale Gross took my call. he did badger or hound me but was friendly and knowledgeable. I brought my vehicle into the dealership and since I had no previous inclination that I would be purchasing a vehicle, dale was patient and answered questions while I looked on the lot. he pointed out the differences between the escape and explorer and let me do some test drives. he located a vehicle for me but I decided was a bit out of my price range. when I brought my husband in, but was still unsure because of monthly payments, dale gave me a different model explorer and an escape as an alternative. after looking at the escape, seeing the gas mileage and tow package, AND the low monthly payment, I realized it was too good too pass up. I am in a brand new vehicle, 4wd, towing for a low price but the best thing I have is peace of mind since I was always waiting for the next thing to go wrong in my old explorer. dale hasn't worked very long at lb smith but he is definitely a people person...very easy to talk to, friendly and funny, and very knowledgeable about his product. I am glad I had the opportunity to meet him and work with him in a situation I didn't really want to come any time soon....a car payment....I will recommend him and lb smith ford to ALL my friends, relatives, and co-workers! My 2006 Ford 500 with 116,000 miles was in need of a repair as it had stopped running on the highway and I had it towed to LB Smith. The Ford 500 is a wonderful, dependable car and I had never had a major repair in 8 years. Russ (Service) called to explain what was wrong with the car and what definitely would be the outcome and what may be the outcome once they opened it up and looked further. I told him I wanted some options regarding fixing the 500 or purchasing another vehicle. Russ recommended I call Stu (Sales) to check out car options. I loved my 500 for a number of reasons and I listed those reasons and took them to Stu as my must haves in a new vehicle. Stu understood and was patient and fantastic. My first non-negotiable must have was that the new vehicle seat height had to be the same height as the 500. I did not want to be sitting low, nor did I want to be climbing up and an 88 year old parent had to easily enter the front passenger seat of the car as well. I think Stu suspected from the beginning what I should purchase, but he showed me all my options and had me sit in a number of vehicles and determined my style. If anyone had said I would purchase a SUV, I would have told them they were nuts. But, the perfect fit in seating, style, room, storage, gas mileage, environment friendly, handling, etc. was the Ford Escape EcoBoost Crossover in the wonderful mustard gold! Steve (Sales) appraised my 500 for trade in and through friendly conversation determined that my organization participated in a discount program with Ford (I had forgotten)! Stu worked the numbers and gave me 4 options for purchasing and 4 options for leasing. Then the 20 year veteran paperwork man (Don) showed up and made the process easy to understand and fluid. I did not expect to find in one trip and drive home that evening with a new car. Stu's active listening skills, knowledge of the vehicles, and up front (truth telling) friendly manner along with the teamwork made my decision a very comfortable one. This was truly an exceptional Customer Service experience from Service to Sales. More

Best Ford dealer in Central PA Today was my 5th purchase from L B Smith -- and it was just as easy and pleasant as the others. This is the only car dealership I've ever been to wher Today was my 5th purchase from L B Smith -- and it was just as easy and pleasant as the others. This is the only car dealership I've ever been to where the people are friendly (and I mean everyone!) and you don't feel like you're being hunted when you're just there to browse. They always have a good selection of vehicles, are knowledgeable, and there to help every step of the way. If you're looking to buy a car, Bill Yiengst is your man. He's a very genuine guy and goes out of his way every time to ensure you have nothing but the best experience. Buy from him once and I guarantee you will never want to deal with anyone else. I've been to this dealership many times for service too. The closest Ford dealership is only a few miles away from my home -- but, I drive an extra 20 minutes to go to L B Smith because I know what I'm getting. Their service is top notch, the service advisors really take the time to understand what you need, and they always detail my car for free before returning it (even for oil changes). If you're looking for a Ford or Lincoln, then try L B Smith. You won't be disappointed. More

This is our 3rd new car purchase from LB Smith in the last 20 months. Would I recommend them? Absolutley... Don't waste your time going elsewhere, start and finsih here. As far as salesmen go, Jim Tomsa is the best... Tell him what you want and what you want to spend and watch how fast it all comes together. Going the extra mile is what makes the dealership one of the best. Brent Corcoran & Brian Noll help complete the purchase and make the appraisal & financing end of things very easy. Overall I give the dealership a 10.0 out of 10.0. You most definetly have a customer for life. We appreciate you going the distance and exceeding our expectations time and time again. More
Purchase of a used Explorer I have been considering trading in my wife's car for 8 months. At the time I had too much inequity and did not want to buy my way out of the vehicle. I was interested in another SUV so I readily would peruse local dealer lots and ask questions take test drives, in an attempt to find the vehicle that would fit my needs at a price I could afford. I first went to L B Smith Ford in the fall of 2013, that is when I met Bill Yovanovich. He was very kind and answered any questions I had and asked if wanted to drive any vehicles etc.. I would stop back about every 2 months or so; he may not have remembered my first name but he would remember that I was the guy who wanted t upgrade his wife's Acura MDX.This past week I stopped in at lunch time to see what used vehicles were on the lot. They had a 2012 Explorer with low mileage and second row bucket seats that I liked. ..Now the sale process could begin: After my test drive during lunch time I decided to go home and get my wife. We both came back to the dealership unannounced. Bill was in the middle of delivering a vehicle so Bill Luszik accommodated us and he too was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. After my wife's test drive Bill Yovanovich was free to take over. There was no pressure from anyone in the sales department. They gave me a very fair price for my trade and the price of the Explorer was still less than Kelly Blue Book. We decided to purchase the vehicle but I wanted a tow hitch installed. Bill set up everything he knew I needed the hitch by the weekend and it was already Wednesday. He got it done and made sure I was not without a vehicle in the process. This was not the first vehicle we've purchased ;My wife and I always cringe when the salesman takes us to the F&I guy to do the paperwork, historically these guys are the pushy ones. They paint all the ugly scenarios that can happen to your vehicle and insist on you purchasing their extended service contracts. Well, what a pleasant surprise to do this process with Don Barnes..again no pressure but very informative and extremely pleasant to deal with.. We signed all the papers and left the dealership...On the way home my wife said "did you notice how nice and friendly everyone was?" She was correct the culture in this dealership is like no other. If your considering a car I would ask you to visit several dealerships like I did then go to L B Smith and notice the difference..Great People! More

Not so at LB Smith Ford. I was treated like this was the most important sale that month and the employees I dealt with bent over backwards to accommodate my every need and want. The price was also more than fair, cheaper than anything in the big DC-MD-PA metropolitan areas. I couldn't be happier. This is why when it's time to replace my Ford truck, I'll make the drive from DC to buy from Kent. Trust me, it's worth it. More
