We took our pacifica there for a battery/charging issue. The dealer had the van for a month. We were provided a loaner vehicle even though one was covered under our aftermarket warranty, which was very nice The dealer had the van for a month. We were provided a loaner vehicle even though one was covered under our aftermarket warranty, which was very nice. The van battery would go dead after sitting for one day. After 2 weeks of the van being at the dealer and no contact, I contacted them and they stated that the cause was narrowed down to 2 possible problems. 2 weeks later on a Friday I was notified that the van was repaired and that I could pick it up whenever I wanted. I wasnt able to pick the van up until the following Tuesday. I did not notify them that I was coming to get the van. When I arrived my van was out front of the shop running which I thought was strange since they did not know that I was coming to pick it up. I then asked the service writer why it was running and he stated that it was jump started and after sitting over the weekend it was normal. Well I know this is not normal, and it is the exact reason why I brought it to the dealer in the first place. So the van sat at the dealer for another week before I called again to get a report on it. The service writer stated that the mechanic did not fully charge the batteries before parking it and was reassured that it was ok to take.As a mechanic I know that the first thing that must be done when a vehicle has a battery/charging issue is the battery must be fully charged and tested as you can not test these new electrical systems with a weak battery. Second you do not let a customers car charge the battery using their gas. You always put the vehicle on the battery charger. So I was pretty upset to see my vehicle out front running to charge the batteries burning fuel for no reason. After I retrieved the van from the dealer my wife used it for a week. The van then sat for a full day on Sunday and would not start on monday morning and she was leaving the house at 5:30 to be to work at 6:00. I was extremely upset that I had to go out and jump start the van that early in the morning and concerned about the reliability of the vehicle being that she carries our children around in it. Krystal really dropped the ball on this one. Their sales department was excellent. I'm sorry to say the service department was terrible. More
