I recently bought a used Ford Explorer here, for what I would consider to be a fair deal. However, the negotiation process was quite simply... insulting! I've bought a lot of vehicles in my life and this i would consider to be a fair deal. However, the negotiation process was quite simply... insulting! I've bought a lot of vehicles in my life and this is the first time I ever got up to leave, outraged from being so insulted First they tried offering almost $10k BELOW Kelly Blue Book "trade in" value for my car. After improving the offer a little, I insisted my car was worth more, to which the sales manager responded by suggesting I did not understand how KBB values work. I then showed him an online offer I already had from Carmax and got up to leave. They then immediately agreed to match that offer. In the end they agreed to a deal even better than that. However... had I come here not knowing what my car was worth for trade in, they would have shamelessly ripped me off. The final straw that convinced me to write this review happened right after I drove off the lot. I looked at the fuel level and the tank was only half full. Normally I wouldn't have thought anything of this, but the sales person had just taken the vehicle to 'fill it up' before I took possession. Apparently Koon Hyundai has a different definition of 'full' than I do. Bottom line... you can get a fair deal here, but buyer beware! Know what your trade in is worth and don't be afraid to negotiate! More
