This place is a joke. As the Koon's commercials on television say "WE WILL WOW YOU". Trust me they sent me running out the door. We came into the dealership and they were not busy at all. Actually they were busy talking about what they were having for lunch and what plans they had for the weekend. We could not get anyone to assist us with a Volvo purchase. The staff was rude and unfriendly. We were so turned off by this experience we were not even going to consider Volvo, but thankfully we gave Bill Kidd's a try in Cockeysville and walked out with a Volvo. If you are looking for a Volvo, Bill Kidd's is the place. More
I purchased an XC90 on 2/11/13. Jay Carr was extremely helpful, polite and patient. I never felt pressured and the whole process was easy and I left with a wonderful car. I bought a Volvo S-40 in August of 2012. It's now January 2013 and I still have not been delivered a clean title. I'm driving around on temp tags/ Dealers tag. In spite of the fiasco that was created by the "missing tittle", i've had to chase the dealership down 4 times to find out what is going on. Each time someone assures me that they are working on this but to no avail. I never have had one single phone call, not one letter of explaination and no sincere appologies regarding this issue. I'm very tired and extemely frustrated from the lackaisical group of people who serve the dealership. Crystal should be ashamed of this staff and the way they handle cusomer care relations. More
Bought a 2003 Audi for my son 3 weeks later turned on the heat and it doesn't work..Koons customer service would not stand up and fix the problem, told me it would cost upward of $1200.00. I am not really a car person and I do not like car shopping, but I was looking for a new car and stopped into this dealership just to sit in a Volvo to see if I liked how the seats felt (I feel like a shopping, but I was looking for a new car and stopped into this dealership just to sit in a Volvo to see if I liked how the seats felt (I feel like a lot of cars have seats that don't fit me well). Jonathan greeted me and the next thing you know we were going for a test drive in the S60R. I was surprised how much I did like the car I test drove, and Jonathan's friendly and professional manner made him a pleasure to work with. In my relationship I am the scout, so I gather all the pertinent information and go over it with my husband before I bring him out to see what I am looking at. My husband is a car person, so he is more inclined to look at the performance, specs, reviews and technical data on vehicles prior to test driving one. I really felt like Jonathan recognized that and was working hard for me in getting me all the details I needed so that we could make a sound decision. Once I brought my husband by he did agree that this would be a safe and fun car for me to drive as well as a good value. Jonathan was excellent to deal with through the entire transaction. If he did not know the answer to a question, he did know where to go to get the answer quickly. My husband and I are both in sales and we appreciated Jonathan's candor and honesty in dealing with each of us. We also appreciated that Jonathan was respectful of our limited time when we were at the dealership and we would recommend Jonathan to our friends and family should they be in the market for a new Volvo. More
The Service Adviser, Bruce Silvers was very accomodating. I walked in without an appointment due to my volvo making a strange sound and appeared unsafe to drive. Our decision to purchase the car was based on the fact that we were told that we could get the wood grain trim accessories installed on the center console and stearing wheel. We were told that we could ge that we were told that we could get the wood grain trim accessories installed on the center console and stearing wheel. We were told that we could get a loaner car if needed while the car was being serviced. There was not another car on the lot in our price range at that time with these specific features so we even changed our color choice because it was suggested that the wood grain on the steering wheel would be a nice accent to the white car with tan interior. There was never a mention of the need to replace the entire steering wheel in order to achieve this. The sales person wrote up a WE OWE slip however he was told that it would be handled in in finance to be included in the cost of the car. We were told that we could call to set up an appointment to have the services done. We called to speak to Mr. Beck a few days later to set up the appointment and were told that Ms. Barnes would take care it however since she was off that day he would take my name and number pass it along to her.The next day when I spoke to Ms.Barnes she informed that she would check to see if the order had been placed. I was informed that the part would be in on Friday, June 8 and I was given an appointment for Monday, June 11. My Murray also visited the store to discuss the use Navigation system on Saturday June 9. At no time during the sales transaction,phone conversations or store visits was it ever stated that the installation of the wood trim on the steering wheel would require the removal and replacement of the entire unit. Further, it was written on the pink sales slip "wood" with a cost of 600.00 next to it(which was added to the cost of the car). On Monday June 11 upon arriving at the service department it seemed that no one knew about the wood trim for steering wheel and that is when it was revealed about the type of installation and what it required. We were informed that it was not in writing. As far as the center the console installation, we were told that the wrong part had been ordered. Get clear, specific details in wirting! More
