They are disrespectful and truly deplorable. The finance team is not thorough nor are they attentive to clear concise detailed documents. The staff is very friendly and easy to deal with when they are trying to take your money, however they are completely and utterly disgraceful after the initial sale. The general manager is NEVER available to assist customers who have less than stellar customer service. His surrogates are uneducated, unprofessional degenerates with no savior faire and have no idea what acceptable customer service is. I caution anyone who goes to this dealer to beware. Be sure you are well versed with car purchasing so that you may be completely sure they are handling your deal correctly. Never Go Back On 12/17/16, I purchased a 2017 Transit Van and a 2016 Ford 150 Lariat pick up truck from Koons Ford in Silver Spring. After signing the deals and dr On 12/17/16, I purchased a 2017 Transit Van and a 2016 Ford 150 Lariat pick up truck from Koons Ford in Silver Spring. After signing the deals and driving away from the dealership, the sales people and Koons immediately forgot my name, my face, and my return email address. Any and all of the minor follow up problems that I needed addressed were ignored, or delayed, poorly resolved, and generally responded to in an arrogant fashion. It was like dragging a tractor trailer with flat tires down to your local mechanic. I have bought (since) 1988 (all new trucks): #1 Ford Bronco, #7 Ford vans, #1 Ford 15j0 Lariat pick up truck, and now #1 new 2016 F150 Lariat pick up truck. Approx. $300,000.00 + financing. The trucks are/were great. Koons, not so much. I left phone message and email for Koons general manager and have not had the courtesy of a simple call back. It's too bad, because some of the experience I had with the sales people was good. But, overall, Koons has not made it easy and they are not big on respecting other people's (customers) time when it comes to customer service and multiple trips back to the dealership to resolve their(my) service issues. More

Bottom Line First Customer Not Served I called this dealer twice to ensure availability and price of a vehicle I liked. He said he would have it up front for me when I got there. I explained that I was driving an hour and a half to see it. We made an appointment for me to see it at 7 on 2/3/17. I called at 645 to let the salesmen know that I was almost there but was running a little behind. That's when he told me that someone else just came in and is looking at it. By the time I got there he said he sold it. You can't tell a customer to wait 30 minutes and have them test drive something else because a vehicle might be spoken for? The Salesmen said their policy is "first come first served." To add insult to injury, they start questioning my need for a long bed in a truck to get me to buy something else. Buyers beware this dealer's policies clearly serve their bottom line with no regard for their customers. If you're interested in a specific vehicle and have long drive look elsewhere. More
Outstanding service and value! I was in the process of looking for a vehicle and had begun to search online. I noticed a late model used vehicle that seemed to meet my specifications. I contacted Koons and was put into touch with John Speake. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and highly professional. In fact the entire staff was outstanding. I asked John for additional information and he went above and beyond my request. I was provided exact model real time comparisons as well as spec sheets on the vehicles. We set an appointment to test drive the car and prior to our appointment they gave me follow up emails and phone calls to ensure that nothing had changed. In an effort to save my time, John asked if I would be trading a vehicle and if so if we could start the process of determining a trade in value for my car prior to our appointment. Upon my arrival the vehicle was ready to drive and John was ready to help. Within two hours I was driving away in the vehicle I had seen on line! There were no games or gimmicks. This was a professional business transaction. I highly recommend Koons and more specifically John Speake. More
