As a visitor in Maryland from Maine, I had a tire problem and looked online for a Ford dealer with a high rating. I was lucky enough to pick Koons. When I called, Chris said to bring the car in, with no ap and looked online for a Ford dealer with a high rating. I was lucky enough to pick Koons. When I called, Chris said to bring the car in, with no appointment, and he would take care of my problem. He made it as convenient as possible. When I arrived, the service was done promptly and, after a short discussion about the quality of the Ford line, I was on my way. We will be visiting this area on a regular basis and will happily return to Koons and we will recommend them to others. Chris Austin is an asset to your organization. More

I immediately received an appointment confirmation from his email, along with a note that said "If you have any questions please respond to this email." I responded to the email, asking for a price estimate for the work I needed, and did not receive any reply. Two days before the appointment, I received another appointment confirmation from David, and again, was directed to email if I had any questions. I repeated my previous query about price estimate (this time to the dealership's email address), and again, received no answer. The day of the appointment, my husband drove the car to the dealership only to be told that the part that would be needed for my car (a headlamp assembly) would have to be ordered, and it took a bit of pushing on my husband's part to get any kind of price quote. He was quoted a price that seemed higher than we were expecting, so I told him to get the keys back and to leave. More
Sam Gill was my salesperson and could not have done her job any better. She was very knowledgeable and answered my million questions with competence and patience. I felt Sam was acting in my best interest, not pressuring me and giving me the latitude I needed to make the important decision on buying a car. She also has a great personality and sense of humor which made the process more enjoyable. Basically, she has a gift of having the skills to sell a car without coming across as the stereotypical salesperson who bullies the customer into a purchase. I chose to sleep on my decision to buy, and the finance department more or less expressed displeasure with me for doing so and sort of left me feeling like I should apologize. This put me off a bit and it tarnished the overall experience a bit. I will say that when I came in the next day to purchase, the same gentleman was great to work with. Customer service is noticably better at your dealership than at your area competitors. Pricing seems to be comparable. So the service for me was the deciding factor. I'm not entirely convinced I paid a great price, but I think that's more because the cost I had in my head wasn't realistic for what I wanted. Again, Sam is great! I went into Koons Ford on Saturday, for moral support for my friend buying a new car at the end of the night I ended up looking at small Volvo. I arrive Sunday, by now everyone knows me by name (the owner, finance director and all the sales people). Lets just say I had no intentions on buying a new car, I ended up getting more for my trade-in and leaving with my dream car, something I didn't think I would be able to afford. Somehow they worked it out so that the payments for this luxury BMW (which is smokkin HOT!) is amazingly affordable. What an awesome group of people, it is rare to go into a car dealership and have a great experience, they bought dinner for my girlfriend and I while her finance paperwork was being completed. I highly recommend Ms. Linda, my salesperson, the gentlemen in the Finance department were great and what can I say about the owner. Thank to everyone that worked this deal, I am truly blessed to have met all of you and blessing to all of yoiu guys at Koons Ford Silver Spring. Kathy S. More

Very professional dealership. They are respectful and helpful to customers. Any problem I bring up to them, they look into it no questions asked. David Ledger and Harvey Vaughan are the two service advisors that I have dealt with and they are very professional and friendly. They really know how to work with people and I hope they continue working there for years to come and they really deserve a customers thanks for their great work. Mechanics inside that do the work on the vehicles are extra friendly as well. I wouldn't buy my car from any other dealership or service it anywhere else. More

Genuinely Nice People to Deal With!! I found Koons Ford of Silver Spring to be the best car dealer I have dealt with. Debbie Colt, the Internet Sales Director, promptly returned my calls and e-mails. She assured me that if I had any additional questions, to feel free to e-mail her and she would get back. She was true to her word and quoted me a competitive, fair price. When I went to the dealership, I met with Claron Etherly. He was the most knowledgeable, patient and personable car salesman I've met. He listened to my questions and answered all of them. Then, he answered my daughter's questions! The paperwork had been started, the pricing figures were as stated. The only item that took a little time was a tiny hairline 1/2" scratch on the bumper, that they rubbed out for me before I took possession of my 2012 Ford Fusion. When I went off to meet with the Finance Manager, Hopeton Joseph, I was truly amazed again. He had all the paperwork ready, lines highlighted where I needed to sign, and efficiently answered all questions. But seriously, these were the nicest folks to deal with. They all seemed like genuine down-to-earth people. It was truly a pleasant experience! It was rather late in the evening when I was leaving and I had never been to that dealership before -- or even that neighborhood. I asked for directions, then asked Claron Etherly if he would let me follow him out until I hit a road I was familiar with. Without hesitation, he said, "Sure. Just wait a second while I go get a set of keys!" They just seem to be down-home, friendly people! More
