Good Car Buying Experience My daughter and I visited Koons Falls Church Ford on August 16, 2014. We were interested in a 2013 Ford Focus, which we found through CarGurus.com. My daughter and I visited Koons Falls Church Ford on August 16, 2014. We were interested in a 2013 Ford Focus, which we found through CarGurus.com. The sales person (Russ Walker) was great. He listened to what my daughter wanted, and was very friendly and helpful. He wanted us to have a good experience, and told us so. He was also familiar with the online price and advertisement that brought us in. I had done a lot of online research before going there. The car price was very good and the dealership readily honored it. The sales support team was also friendly and helpful. Onsite financing was simple and easy. Marina, the Finance Manager, identified a great Ford maintenance option, and we took advantage of it. It was a great car buying experience overall. More

I was able to test drive, complete the paperwork and drive out with a brand new car with in couple of hours...and did I say that the Explorer Sport is AMAZING!! So thank you for the best service ever. His professionalism and recommendation on options and warranty was very important to me to make the right decisions. Service Disaster: Answer the phone! Know where my car is! No One Wanted To Schedule My Recall Or Return My Calls I phoned Koon's to get a recall addressed and perform the 30k mile service on my car. It wa No One Wanted To Schedule My Recall Or Return My Calls I phoned Koon's to get a recall addressed and perform the 30k mile service on my car. It was a bad experience from the start - I had trouble scheduling an apt (it was supposedly a "difficult recall fix" and so they wouldn't schedule the recall unless the service dept. said it was ok) - but the service dept wouldn't answer the phone or call me back or respond to my request on www.fordowner.com. After calling once a week for three weeks (no joke - three weeks of calling - I finally asked if everyone has trouble scheduling recalls to be fixed and was literally told "you can take your car to any dealer to get a recall addressed"). I finally got the scheduler to get the service dept on the phone (this is the closest dealer to my house) and got an apt a few days later. Everyone But One Employee Goes Home Around 5/530 - And She Can't Help Folks AND Answer the Phone It's inconvenient to have to take your car in for a recall service, so I try to make it worth my while by paying $400 to do the 30k mile service (which is not cheap for a couple of filters and a tire rotation - but fine, kill two birds with one stone). I call around 5.15 to the service dept to try to schedule a ride from metro to the dealer - on hold for 10 minutes; hang up. Call again around 5.45 as I am leaving work - on hold 10 minutes hang up. Call on metro en route to dealer - ask front desk if she can get someone at service dept to answer phone - "sorry - but she's helping another customer" - "isn't there someone else you can get" - "no") - on hold for - no joke - 18 minutes. I actually am still on hold after my metro train arrives, get a cab to service dept and am walking in the door - "have you still been on hold - you need a ride right?" "i'm actually already here - i was on hold this last time for 18 minutes" "so sorry". turns out all of service dept leaves between 5 and 5.30 - WHAT? one person there - handling all customers and answering the phone? How is that good service? Here Are Your Keys - Go Walk Around The Dealer Lot And Find Your Own Car But it gets worse - I pay, and the only service dept employee says "I don't know where your car is - and the person that normally brings the cars around isn't here, so you are going to have to walk around and find your car"; "are you kidding me"; "I'm not. I'm sorry." I don't want people to tell me they're sorry, I want someone to help me - answer the phone, know where the F my car is - and get it for me if I am paying you $400 to swap out some filters and rotate the tires! The positive reviews of the service dept appear to have been written by people that have never been here. There is no way the multiple layers of bad service I encountered happened to be my bad luck. It was a mess from start and finish. There is no need to pay good money for this service. Get your regular service somewhere else and save money and get better service. More
