DON'T BUY A USED CAR FROM HERE! This is my first and last time ever buying a car, new or used, from this dealership or any others with the Koons name! TLDR: Lies, deception, This is my first and last time ever buying a car, new or used, from this dealership or any others with the Koons name! TLDR: Lies, deception, and shady tactics If you want a personal experience, this IS NOT the car dealership for you. Our salesperson abandoned us after he knew he had the sale to try for another sale. Important things like owner's manuals and a second key are optional extras they won't help with. Clearly the goal here is to make money by almost any means necessary and not care about providing the best experience possible. Instead of spending an extra couple hundred dollars extra for manuals, keys, mats, or even $20 of gas on a 30k car, they list it and don't care what is included. I contacted Koons Ford through one of the online car search engines. They were quick to respond and provided most of the requested information. We agreed on a price and went to visit. About an hour into our hour and a half trip the salesman calls and says "there are a couple warning lights on the dash". Why wasn't that mentioned one of the several other times we talked? We should have turned around right then and there, but we were already most of the way there and decided to continue. Big mistake. We talk to the salesperson, Hector, and he assures us the manufacturer warranty will fix whatever is causing the lights. Not feeling confident with his assessment of a non-Ford car, in the contract we include that Koons will "take care of the issue" if the manufacturer will not. No telling if this will actually happen. We decide to buy the car anyway against my better judgement (wife REALLY wanted it). While in the finance office the persons says "what if the manufacturer doesn't fix those lights because it isn't a manufacturer defect". Wait, we had a 20 minute conversation with the salesman and manager about how that would NEVER happen. Now you're saying it could and might!? Someone is lying! Of course at that time he is trying to sell us an extended warranty, so who knows!? I later catch the finance person in another lie. While pushing all the extras he mentioned "doing your own oil changes/maintenance voids the warranty". As it turns out, that's not true at all. We buy the car and drive home. I realize the next day the salesman never answered my question about if there are two keys- one I asked a few times. I was too distracted about the warning lights to think about the keys. As it turns out, there is only one. And no owner's manuals to boot. To recap: Warning lights on dash that we weren't notified about until almost the last minute (deception), no clear answer if repair for the lights is covered (someone lied), only one key that we weren't notified about until they were handed to us after we signed everything even after we asked about it before (shady tactics), no owner's manual, and barely any gas in the tank. I asked Derreck the sales rep to send a few listings, he never did it. I asked Mert the sales manager to follow up with me and he never did. Ironically, I got form email from Derreck that included a message from the general manger asking why I hadn't purchased yet. I emailed the GM and got my answers ASAP and got a call from Mert that evening. The next morning on Sat, I filled out the credit form that Mert asked me to fill out. He never followed up with me and when I called him on Sunday evening to get the rate said he never received it. I called xx and told to look for it and low and behold, he found it. The crazy thing is that I am a customer, I bought an F-150 from this dealer in '20 and I live 5 miles from them. I am the ideal customer. They don't care. These guys are TERRIBLE at follow up, they will not negotiate and unless you're in the dealership they don't pay attention to you. AVOID Koons Ford Falls Church. More

In September i took my F150 to Koons for service and an oil change. The service advisor was very dismissive, my truck wasnt repaired correctly and i sent a low score on the followup survey. I was called by oil change. The service advisor was very dismissive, my truck wasnt repaired correctly and i sent a low score on the followup survey. I was called by the service manager regarding the survey. He apologized and asked me to bring the truck back in. He set up the appointment for Wed at 10am. I blew out a tire between when we scheduled the appointment and when i dropped the truck off. Since i have a tire warranty i called and added that to the service. Wed came and i dropped the truck off. Reminded them about the tire. Thursday evening i called Koons since i had not heard anything about the truck. Kevin, my service advisor, told me the truck had not been seen yet. He would call me once it was seen. I asked if they had taken care of the tire at least. He said no they do it all at once. I again called Mon since i had heard nothing from Kevin and left him a voice message. Tue i called again and asked for the manager since Kevin was not returning calls. He put Kevin on the phone.. Kevin told me the noise was from the cam phasers and they need replaced. I asked why they needed replaced since Koons Ford had just replaced those in Feb 2022. He responded, oh i didnt see that in our service records. There it is. That changes everything. I’ll have our “master” tech look into this.” I again asked him to take care of the tire. He said they would. On Thur he called me and said that the computer just needed reprogrammed. They did that and let the truck sit until Thur morn. Started it and the rattle was “gone”. He then said he just ordered the tire that morning and it will take a couple days to come in. I did not get my truck back until Tue. Well, i started the truck on Wed, and i am no “master” tech, but the rattle is still there. So my truck sat for 2 weeks, nothing was fixed, again. It spent 5 extra days there for a tire that should have been ordered when i brought it in. Hey guys, thanks for just throwing the spare in the bed of the truck. I’ll put it back under where it belongs. Laziness. I havent owned this truck for a year yet and it has spent over 2 months at Koons sitting in their service department. This will definitely be my first and last Ford. I will also not be purchasing anything from a Koons dealership. All they care about is the sale and saying they sold the most cars. Once you leave the lot, you are just a number to them. I’d give zero stars but 1 is the lowest allowed. More
Russel was great and followed through on the rate and number we agreed upon via text. He was so kind and knowledgeable about our car and helped us make an informed decision when buying a new car.
