I’ve been going to the Annapolis dealership for many years. My trust in their mechanics repair work is strong, but not so much in their customer service providers. They have a new Service Manager to address the complaints. I hope service gets better while I investigate other options. More
I got a new 2024 Toyota Corolla hybrid at Koons Annapolis, and traded in my 04 corolla. While I thought the service they provided was adequate, I found that the process of buying a new car was very Annapolis, and traded in my 04 corolla. While I thought the service they provided was adequate, I found that the process of buying a new car was very tiring. Perhaps it's like that everywhere, especially with hot commodity cars like Corollas. Gabriel was our sales guy and at first I thought his energy was great for keeping us hyped for getting the new car. However, my mom (who accompanied me to help me through the process) allegedly recieved calls and texts from Gabe, in between the couple days of us closing on buying the car and actually getting it, that were inappropriate to the process of buying the car. Overall I think he gave us some faulty information on how the car worked (related to emergency services and cruise control specifically), but his charisma and humor largely kept me engaged in the several hour long process of buying the car. There's nothing wrong with small talk with customers, but I hope in the future that he can reel it in a little bit and keep his communication outside the dealership with customers more centered on the cars. After getting off work, I came home to find my wife upset following a frustrating conversation with Barbara, the customer service manager at Koons Toyota Annapolis and Service Director - Bob. In July 2024, K following a frustrating conversation with Barbara, the customer service manager at Koons Toyota Annapolis and Service Director - Bob. In July 2024, Koons serviced my wife’s 2014 Toyota Corolla, telling her the front brakes were in the yellow. By September, with less than 5,000 miles driven, one brake pad was completely worn, a safety issue they missed. I also dealt with a botched oil change on my 2015 Toyota Camry, leaving the car without oil by August. Despite my wife making 11 calls regarding her car, Bob failed to help, and dismissed concerns. Bob lacks interpersonal skills, doesn’t resolve conflict, and provides poor customer service, making an already bad situation worse. Barbara was ineffective, keeping us in a loop of calls instead of resolving the issue. I strongly recommend not to take your business to Koons Toyota in Annapolis under NO CIRCUMSTANCES. More
