Amazing Customer Service! I recently purchased a 2017 Subaru Impreza from Mike Curtis at Kocourek Subaru. We originally weren't even planning to stop at Suburu, but then did on I recently purchased a 2017 Subaru Impreza from Mike Curtis at Kocourek Subaru. We originally weren't even planning to stop at Suburu, but then did on a last minute whim. Whereas some dealerships just handed us the keys, we very much appreciated that Mike took the time to walk us through all the amazing features offered in Subaru vehicles. Our choice to purchase was based on (1) the Impreza had so many safety features, (2) a spacious interior with soft leather, large windows throughout, and (3) was the best sedan in terms of balancing both the safety of all wheel drive with comparatively excellent gas mileage (28 city, 38 hwy). Overall the dealership exceeded our expectations in terms of their customer service, knowledge of the sales staff, products offered, and willingness to accommodate some special needs we had in the purchasing process. I would highly recommend stopping here first if you are looking for a new car (and ask for Mike)! More

No Integrity, Lied to me and Damaged my Wheels I took my Forester in with a hatch full of freshly powdercoated wheels and a trailer full of brand-new tires so Kocourek Subaru could mount the tires I took my Forester in with a hatch full of freshly powdercoated wheels and a trailer full of brand-new tires so Kocourek Subaru could mount the tires and perform a 4-wheel alignment. I specifically stated to Cabel that the lugs may have anti-sieze on them, so when torquing the lug nuts care should be taken not to over-tighten. Cabel replied that they always use anti-sieze on the lugs anyway, and that my lug nuts would be tightened by hand. While I was in the waiting area, Cabel approached and asked me to accompany him to the service area where my car was on the lift. He proceeded to show me that my engine was wet underneath, and told me the my "head gaskets were blown". He gave me an estimate of $2400 to replace them, and when I said I'd think about it and do some research, he became more urgent, describing scenarios of me being stranded on the side of the road because I didn't get the repair done as soon as possible, and extolling the virtues of having the job done by a "certified Subaru mechanic". I don't mind being informed of a potential problem, but after I decline the repair I don't like having to stand there and listen while my intelligence is insulted by an upsale. Turns out my head gaskets appear to be perfectly fine, a stuck return valve in the radiator cap was causing the coolant to overflow from the bottle and blow back onto the engine. Back to the job being performed. I requested that my front wheels be adjusted to -1.5 degrees camber if possible, to improve the handling of the car. This they did, but I would have appreciated it if they'd told me that my wheels were rubbing the spring perches as a result. After the job was done, I was given a printout of the alignment results and informed that the front left wheel was out of spec because the tie rod was rusted solid. Cabel said they could replace it while I waited for another $300, and the alignment could be finished. Otherwise it would cost me another $44.95 to have the toe adjusted later if I did the replacement myself. Most alignment shops will offer to complete the alignment for free after the part is replaced, or at least knock the price down for an incomplete job. Not Kocourek. Oh, and the steering wheel is very crooked after the alignment. Today I removed the front left wheel to replaced the tie rod, and noticed that not only was there no trace of anti-sieze, but crescent-shaped gouge marks on the wheels around the lug nuts. The marks were a clear indication that the tech had simply hung the wheel on the hub and run the nuts on with an impact. There were metal shavings on the lugs as well. This upset me since Cabel expressly told me that the lug nuts would be tightened by hand. Now I have damaged wheels and lugs. I replaced the tie rod today ($50 for premium parts and I know it was done right) and have an appointment scheduled with a tire shop to do the alignment. I can't imagine the damage that these neanderthals would have done if I'd let them go ahead and replace my head gaskets. TL,DR Cabel lied to me, the alignment tech did a crap job and the guy who installed the wheels damaged them. I will never let Kocourek Subaru touch any of my cars again. More

I test drove the car and set up an appointment to have my cars trade in value appraised and the next day I had agreed to purchase a 2015 Wrx. My wife and I have been loving it ever since, and we will be coming back to get a second one in a year or so! More

I drove from Eau Claire to come and buy this vehicle because it was so unbelievably well priced. Shelby set up an appointment with me the night before to make sure that she would be ready to assist me. The following morning, when I got there she had the car waiting for me warmed up and greeted me promptly at the door. She is a great asset to their team as she is not pushy, but she is personable which is an uncommon quality amongst most people now. Once I decided on my purchase, she sent me in with the sales manager Brent who was great at first. He and I talked about children as we had both just had our first sons. He used that as an icebreaker before trying to get me to buy the extended warranty, which people should understand is likely always a sham unless you are purchasing a very unreliable vehicle. The cost of the warranty starts around $2500 which is crazy (that is only for around a year of coverage)! Once I told him I was disinterested, he stared at me, said "Really? So you just trust this car? When you leave this lot, you are on your own." That was off putting to me and that was where our conversation took a steep drop and we stopped our previous nice conversation because he wasn't getting the add-on sale. Overall the dealership was great, I expected the manager to be a prude and he mostly wasn't until I said no to him. When the car was taken home, the detailing was poor, they did not get all of the junk and gunk out of the smaller spots in the car and their was finger grease all over the center console. I am very particular and typically hard to please as I have very high standards, so I will put my own elbow grease into it as this vehicle is now my newest pride and joy.
