Mrs. Leicht: When you first came in for service we did road test your vehicle but the check engine light was not on, the vehicle was running fine. We did find a code stored in your history and tested the operation of the cam actuator system which indicated no issues. We road tested again, and no problems were found. We also checked to see if there were any updates or bulletins from General Motors, cleared the codes and made sure the vehicle was operating to General Motors specifications. We did let you know to monitor for any other issues. There was no “original misdiagnosis” as you stated in your review. When you brought your vehicle back for the check engine light the second time, it was confirmed that we did need to order parts for you and gladly set you up with a service loaner vehicle to best accommodate you. We ordered the parts that were needed, and they were on back order as discussed with you. Unfortunately, while your vehicle was here another customer hit your vehicle in the parking lot. We were able to contact that customer on your behalf and have them repair the vehicle for you. Your car was brought to the body shop to be fixed and we did advise you to stay in our service loaner vehicle for the duration of the repairs as a courtesy to you. We have reviewed our records and we did speak with you throughout the length of your vehicle being in for service. Additionally, when you spoke with Joe at the time of pickup, he agreed he would submit for compensation from General Motors. There is a process we must follow with GM and we are not able to submit until after the repairs are accepted by GM. Upon their approval, you communicated their offer was unacceptable. We were under the impression that even as we tried to do all we could to make this experience a better one, that our offers and attempts were still to your dissatisfaction. What you have written in your review does not fall in line with our high customer satisfaction ratings. Please know that we do go above and beyond for our customer's and always want to exceed customer's expectations. This reputation has established us as the #1 Cadillac Buick GMC dealership and destination for sales and service needs on Long Island. I brought the car in WITH the check engine light on, it was on that day on the way to the dealership and we were told that you were the only ones who could reset it/turn off. . I had to call each and every time even though we told both Aric and Joe numerous times to keep us informed.Neither bothered to. And the second part ( cover) was never ordered so that caused addtional delay which put it in the parking lot to be hit . you had my car for 10 weeks and that was not counting the original time I had to use my valuable time to bring it in. The offer Joe mentioned when we picked up the car I told him was too low and he said to write to GM which I did, GM told us that they had nothing to do with the reimbursement but that was done on a dealer ship level. And you made 1 low ball offer so dont make it sound like you did more than that. The loaner did NOT have the features for me to get in and out easily as I am mobility impaired. I stand by my review
