Got my car towed to this location because it was closest. Car had gone into limp mode and engine light came on. Spoke to Sal and he stated it would be around a week to week and a half until he could get a me Car had gone into limp mode and engine light came on. Spoke to Sal and he stated it would be around a week to week and a half until he could get a mechanic that had the ability to tear down and look at the engine. That time goes by still no call. Got a text stating needed 2 new tires oil change brakes and that the software was out of date they had updated it and car seemed to be out of limp mode. Called and asked for update and he only seemed concerned that I had not approved all the extra work when my only concern was motor. He told me it needed an oil change I had just had the oil changed 11/23 and it was now January 5th when it got towed. Told him this information he didn’t say but so I approved the oil change. We talked about doing 1000 mile check to verify if car was burning too much oil. He told me to bring it in right at 1000 miles to get levels checked. Wrote out notes since we would be taking to our local Kia in San Antonio. Well time goes by around 2/3 weeks we go drop it off and they state they will not be able to do it because the location there didn’t process properly and they didn’t put a seal on the oil cap. So now we are over miles and just so happens now we are over our warranty miles so looks like we’re screwed it there is an issue. Needless to say I’ve owned 4 Kia’s now and this will be my last with customer service like this. Wish I could go back and just have it towed to our local Kia instead of ever having to deal with the South Austin location. I’ve called Sal a few times but he apparently refuses to call me back. More
I was given a quote for three services over the phone, ended up being charged more than double, additionally they performed/charged a state inspection that was not asked for since the state of Texas no lo ended up being charged more than double, additionally they performed/charged a state inspection that was not asked for since the state of Texas no longer requires it. Would not recommend and will be getting my Kia services elsewhere. More
