Dealer add ons that are not included in any printed price, either online or on the window sticker that add over 3K to a 16K car and are not optional are unethical and should be illegal. If they are al price, either online or on the window sticker that add over 3K to a 16K car and are not optional are unethical and should be illegal. If they are already installed, they should be part of the price that is advertised. I guess Truth in Advertising laws don't apply to car dealers? I will make sure everyone I know never gives this dealership any business. I own a Kia and I love it. You give Kia a bad name. More
We went to this one because my son saw a car he wanted to use for work and college. Come to find out they low balled us on our trade in by thousands of dollars and wanted a $6,000 down payment on a $9,000 ca use for work and college. Come to find out they low balled us on our trade in by thousands of dollars and wanted a $6,000 down payment on a $9,000 car. After being there for 5 hours and giving us the run around we left and my son's truck was acting up. Come to find out, the person or person's that appraised the truck took one of the plug wires off and disconnected from the distributor cap. This is how you treat your costomers?? Never go to this dealer. By the way, a few years ago I co-signed with my other son on his car and was approved in 10 minutes and I did Not have a job. So Kia of South Austin, thank you for Not letting us get a car for my son. More
I would give Kia 0 stars if I could. Who ever reads this save yourselves some heartache. This has been an absolute nightmare. This is me and my husbands first time buying a brand new car. We literally are t save yourselves some heartache. This has been an absolute nightmare. This is me and my husbands first time buying a brand new car. We literally are the people who buy cars off eBay. I bought my Kia Soul EX back in August 2020. Well started having issues with it after maybe 4-5 months/7,000 miles. Engine making horrible sounds and stalling out. They changed the oil said don’t know what the problem was runs/sounds fine now. Started doing it again after 2-3k miles driving it. They did an oil change and did a computer reset. Runs fine until the next 3k miles. Oh there’s a problem with the car using too much oil we’re going to have to replace the engine. Mind you on all occasions they would not help us get a loaner car or made excuses why they couldn’t help us. Kias cars are priced right and are attractive looking cars, but what’s the point of lux features if it doesn’t run and you pay $25,000 for a brand new car that only works half the time you’ve owned it for 6 months oh and you’ll have to wait weeks for a loaner car and have to fight and threaten the dealership to help you. I had to call the dealership yesterday to confirm the status of my vehicle because my rental is due back tomorrow and no one has contacted me to confirm if my car will be ready or if the rental will be extended. It took a week and a half after dropping it off to even get a rental. We even talked to the GM where all he offered was for us to trade in and buy a new car! My car that doesn’t work is brand new and I definitely don’t want to pay any more money than I have to with any Kia ever again. You will not get your time or money back, and trust me I’m less worried about the money, my time is much more valuable. I’ve had to call out of work and pay for Ubers for lack of transportation, mind you while making payments on my brand new car. But, if your someone where your money is more valuable I seriously caution you to avoid any and all of KIAs dealerships and cars. I wished I listened to my work friend who has had a similar experience with their Kia Telluride. Spend just a little more money on a car company with a better reputation of reliability, I really wish I had. More
Non-negotiable addon kahu is completely unacceptable. As someone who works in cybersecurity and deals with information privacy, the fact that Kahu is a non-removable option that is required is absolutely ho someone who works in cybersecurity and deals with information privacy, the fact that Kahu is a non-removable option that is required is absolutely horrible, especially since that company collects data about your location to sell. Before I get lectured on being tracked by smartphones all the time, I much rather a company like google or apple that is almost always under federal scrutiny managing my data rather than some unknown. An honest dealership absolutely should make this optional. More
Unorganized, untruthful and sell cars that have things wrong with them that they don't disclose. Run away. How can they improve? Brought my car in for maintenance and ac diagnosis service. They kept it for three hours, claimed they did all these check and topped liquids off, and didn't perform any of the service and still charg service. They kept it for three hours, claimed they did all these check and topped liquids off, and didn't perform any of the service and still charged ac diagnostics where they didn't check squat but put freon in and said it was the compressor ( which second mechanic confirmed it was the condenser). After calling later to complain, the service lady Ivon, who also checked me in and out that same day, said I was never there and kept sticking to it until I said I could prove it with my credit card charge. Eventually talked to the manager but was an obvious sham. More
This dealership sells lemons and is extremely unorganized. My partner made the mistake of buying a car here. Within a month, the windows were no longer working. They’ll set an appointment, we sho unorganized. My partner made the mistake of buying a car here. Within a month, the windows were no longer working. They’ll set an appointment, we show up to drop the car off, and come back at the scheduled pick-up time just to hear that they did not have the part. We’ve made four visits for this same issue without it being resolved. This is just a terribly ran business. Wish we never bought here. More
have never been as disgusted with a business’s practices have never been as disgusted with a business’s practices as I was (and am) with Kia of South Austin. My husband purchased a used vehicle from them wi have never been as disgusted with a business’s practices as I was (and am) with Kia of South Austin. My husband purchased a used vehicle from them with the understanding that, as they’d alleged on their website, each vehicle had been rigorously inspected and examined by their team of mechanics. Talk about false advertising! That very day, as he drove the vehicle home, he noticed it was rumbling a bit too strongly while idling. By the following day, the check engine light was on. Concerned, he reached out and made an appointment to have his vehicle checked out by their service team. Six hours later, they had yet to even look at his car. Once they did, they mentioned a sensor needed replacing and that, while they had promised his car had a 4-month warranty, this repair wasn’t included. How convenient, right? And they kept reiterating that the car was sold as-is. Now, their rationale would be fine in regards to the car being sold as-is had these issues arisen 6 months after the sake, but the very same day? Unacceptable. They clearly sold my husband a lemon knowingly, which shows extreme bad faith on their part. He might as well have purchased a car off of Craigslist for half the price! Their service team was rude, apathetic and downright deceitful. Here’s the kicker: they claimed they would fix the problem and only charge them for the part (waiving major fees), then quoted him $400 for the part. Guess how much the part actually costs? $50. Clearly, my husband declined the bogus offer. Whatever you do, never ever purchase a used car here. You may think this is a reputable dealership, but don’t be fooled!! More
Do not believe the "AcceleRide" nonsense. They state on the site that "Buying a car online and getting it delivered has never been easier." When I actually *tried* to buy one of the vehicles they had list the site that "Buying a car online and getting it delivered has never been easier." When I actually *tried* to buy one of the vehicles they had listed, the process conveniently got to a point where I could no longer proceed at which point I was contacted by a sales rep telling me the *actual* price was many thousands more than stated on the site, even after going as far through the "purchase" process as it lets me. This rep tried to tell me "the website" says the prices don't include dealer adds, and proceeded to send a link as "proof" that said no such thing. I'll certainly never be revisiting a purchase here. Fortunately there are more transparent dealers out there to deal with. More
Terrible dealership. Do not buy from them. I reached an agreement to purchase a vehicle. They asked me to fill our a credit application to take my deposit even though I was going to pay cash for the full s agreement to purchase a vehicle. They asked me to fill our a credit application to take my deposit even though I was going to pay cash for the full sticker price. They then sold the vehicle to another customer even though I had asked them to put a sold sign on it. They sold the vehicle with a $10,000 markup over sticker price, so it is clear that as soon as they found a buyer willing to pay over sticker, they just ignored my purchase deal. More
