When everything was ready, they sent me to their financial advisor to verify the credit and sign it. But, when I saw the interest rate it was 11.5%, the highest rate that I have been offered for a vehicle loan. I asked the financier why he gave me that high rate if the credit score is good -700- and my anual income is more than 60,000 a year and I do not have any bad report. He replied that the high rate was because you I'm an Uberdriver and that Kia finance does not like to lend to Uber Drivers. I decided to cancel the business and ask for my car back. It was received as a trade. After this big problem Esteban Alanis who introduced himself as sales manager and the salesman Leo Dawson came to apologize for what happened and ask me to give them the opportunity to get a better rate. They asked me to take the kia home to test it and daid they would call me when everything was ready. I told them yes , but that I would only accept a 4% rate, otherwise they would give me my car back and there would be no business. Esteban the Sales Manager called me two days later and said that everything was ready for me to come and sign the loan and keep the car. I asked him if he got 4% and he said no but I got him 4.25%. I said ok but still I am not going to buy the red 2021 kia sorrento because it does not have the safety technology that I had in my nissan rouge and that I'd the important to me, so I asked for my car returned. When I went to return the kia sorrento. I checked on the internet on the consesinary's website and they had a kia with everything I needed and asked why they didn't give me that, and the manager again discriminated against me, saying that car is not for uber drivers, I told him again are you discriminated me? He got scared and told me he was going to talk to the general manager. Then he returns 20 minutes later and he told me everything is ok and ready. The new kia sorrento s cristal beach is yours, I got you 4.25%. He send me the financier to sign the credit and said everything is ready for you. Tje financial guy gave me a summary and said your monthly payment is $ 750 with a rate of 4.25%. The monthly payment is higher because the car is worth more. He gave a close anvelope with my paperwork copies.I accepted and I sing over the tablet screen of the desk computer. I trusting everyone and signed and bought car. Even so, the monthly payment seemed high to me and one day I received a letter from my bank saying that they had made an offer but the dealer did not take it and show me the deal. I went to kia to make a complain but the Financier told me that he had deleted all the offers that he rrcived for my aplication. He said he did not showme the offer from my bank because it was surely higher. Two days ago I got a good refinancing offer from a bank with 2.4% for my good credit. For the first time I checked the sealed envelope with the copies of my credit papers that the dealer gave me and I discovered that they cheated me and gave me a rate of 6.25. More
I had three separate visits to this dealer within the past few months. One was okay, one was disappointing, and one was terrible. Communication is poor, and when expected arrival dates change, they do no past few months. One was okay, one was disappointing, and one was terrible. Communication is poor, and when expected arrival dates change, they do not text to update you, so if you are looking forward to testing or seeing a vehicle, don't expect it to be there when they say, and realize you will need to keep checking in yourself. When you do make an appointment and they know you're coming, they will still leave you waiting around plenty once you arrive, and seem disorganized. On that second visit, we had to talk to probably three different people to finally see the car we came in to see, even after asking for the contact person. The most recent appointment with Chris Flanc was the worst. We called the day before and said we wanted to come in to special order a vehicle because the Kia site will not let you do it yourself from home. My husband took time off work and told them specifically which car. They had none in stock, which we understand, but they never said they would not be able to order one for us either, so we drove there and were misled by Chris for 35 minutes before he brought in some manager to say they are not taking any orders! Before that, he clicked around on the Kia site just as one can easily do at home and was not communicating anything or being helpful in any way. He couldn't even show us a car in the color we were interested in. Then he randomly got up from the desk without saying "Excuse me", "I'll be right back", or anything, and disappeared for about ten minutes, leaving us confused and frustrated. That's when the manager came and explained they are not taking any orders and we were like "What are we doing here?!" So overall, they are ridiculously unprofessional and showed utter disregard for our time. It was a huge, frustrating waste, especially when we clearly communicated in advance the purpose of the visit and had been in to see the same vehicle two months ago when they had one for someone else. With the dearth of cars now, it is clear they are unwilling to make the slightest show of customer service when the "ball" is so clearly in their court. We have been car shopping for quite a while now and no one has pulled anything as ridiculous as this! They also add an expensive package to new cars that I believe you don't have the option to remove and I know a nearby Kia dealer is charging $2K for it, as well as what they call a "premium" to obtain a car so that customers pay well above sticker price. On the first visit, Herb bragged how they are able to do this with their vehicles in such high demand. That is terrible when it's tough enough to find the vehicle you want in the first place. Perhaps that is determined by the manufacturer, but they could at least be kinder about it instead of like "Hahaha, if you really want it, you better prepared to cough up a few more thousand above the listed price!" I also saw on Cars.com that this dealer formerly had a different name, I think "South Point Kia" and they only had a two star rating, which is probably why they changed the name. Keep this up, and you'll need to change it again, Kia of South Austin. Please work on your people skills and emotional intelligence. More

Bought a 2022 KIA SOUL on 8/08/2021 from KIA of South Austin. I dealt with Salesman Chris Flanc, who is by far the BEST Salesperson I have ever had the pleasure to meet and do business with. He was not p Austin. I dealt with Salesman Chris Flanc, who is by far the BEST Salesperson I have ever had the pleasure to meet and do business with. He was not pushy, aggressive, or rude in any way. He is the most friendly and professional person I have ever encountered, he stayed back and let us shop around and when we had a question he was there and was able to answer ALL our questions and concerns. If not for the way Chris handled himself and how he treated us, I guarantee we would have walked off the lot without making a purchase. We had stopped by ALL the other car dealerships in Austin and walked off due to the Salesmens attitudes. If you want a great shopping experience, go to KIA of South Austin and deal with Chris Flanc, I GUARANTEE he will do right by you. And for a side note, the Sales Manager Esteban Alanis is also Top Notch. Thank you again CHRIS and ESTEBAN for the AWESOME treatment and speedy service in closing the deal. P.S. There was no need to haggle over pricing or anything else, we got a better deal than what we were anticipating. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you !!! More
In more than a half-century of doing business, my experience with South Austin Kia’s service department was by far the worst—in ANY type of business, let alone auto service. I took my Niro there for experience with South Austin Kia’s service department was by far the worst—in ANY type of business, let alone auto service. I took my Niro there for warranty repairs. It sat there for five days during which I couldn’t reach anyone on the phone to learn what was going on. Finally I drove my wife’s car an hour round-trip just to talk to Antonio, my supposed service rep. He was very vague about whether or not the car could be fixed, or when it might be fixed. So I told him that I’d just come back that afternoon to pick up the car and take it elsewhere. I then spent another hour round-trip going there a second time with my wife in her car so I could drive my Niro home. Only after I got home did I discover that they’d taken apart my back seat and hadn’t put it back together. After I took it to North Austin Kia, they told me that Kia South had also removed, and not put back, a safety panel without which I could have died if I’d touch what was underneath it. Kia North had to charge me $79.80 for putting back together what Kia South had left apart because that work could not be covered by warranty. Then I got a mumbled voicemail from just “Kia” saying my parts were in. I naturally assumed that was Kia North, because the voicemail came a week after I’d taken my car home from Kia South and I was waiting for parts to come in at Kia North, so I scheduled with Kia North to get the repairs done—only to discover when I showed up there that I’d wasted another round-trip hour because my parts were NOT yet in there. It turned out that the voicemail was from Antonio at South Austin, who had not even caught the fact that they were no longer on the case, that I was done with them—and his voicemail didn’t even say which Kia he was calling from. So Kia South Service deprived me of my vehicle for several days, did no repairs on it, told me nothing definite about it ever getting repaired, took parts apart and didn’t put them back together, risked my life by leaving off a key safety panel, idiotically left me a voicemail a week later about parts being in without even saying where they were calling from, and cost me a great deal of time, trouble, and $79.80, which Kia Corporate had to repay to me after I took this case to them. In sharp contrast, Kia North is clear and efficient; even when there’s a delay, they explain why, and you can actually reach them on the phone. Another reviewer said to avoid Kia South service for one’s mental health and to go to Kia North instead. I can certainly attest to the truth of that statement. It’s clear from the great many other negative reviews that while my experience was astonishing, it was not an exception. As I told Kia Corporate, the South Austin Kia Service Department should be closed. More
Awesome experience. Whole process was quick and smooth. I knew what I want and Kia of South Austin team made it happen. Price was lower than others and no "surprises". They even got me better rate than my pre-approval. Would recommend everyone I know to give them a call. More
Dealer add ons that are not included in any printed price, either online or on the window sticker that add over 3K to a 16K car and are not optional are unethical and should be illegal. If they are al price, either online or on the window sticker that add over 3K to a 16K car and are not optional are unethical and should be illegal. If they are already installed, they should be part of the price that is advertised. I guess Truth in Advertising laws don't apply to car dealers? I will make sure everyone I know never gives this dealership any business. I own a Kia and I love it. You give Kia a bad name. More
