I waited 2 1/2 hours for a basic oil change and a wheel speed sensor replacement that may pay .2 hours of warranty time. The final bill was incorrect as the $20 coupon was not deducted until I brought it speed sensor replacement that may pay .2 hours of warranty time. The final bill was incorrect as the $20 coupon was not deducted until I brought it to their attention. They told me there was a nail in the sidewall of a tire after over 2 hours in., but didn’t show it to me. I should have asked to see it, but by that time I was so tired from waiting. My tire pressure was low after leaving on all 4 tires. That was not an issue when I arrived! As a former Service Advisor I was quite disappointed in how long I had to wait and I made a previous appointment for the service. I also helped calm down a lady whose wheel fell off after she left the dealership for a tire rotation. Terrible service visit. More

I had just purchased my 2020 Kia Soul six months ago at another dealership, with a manageable loan for 48 months. The night I had the oil change made, I received a call from Marlon Seminarlo, a sales person with Kia Leesburg. He said he had a car which was a 2024 that had 3000 miles on it and he suggested that I come in to look at it since the car I owned for just 4 months had too much mileage on it and it was not good for me. I went in for the appointment that Marlon suggested. He knew nothing about the car he had mentioned to me. Instead, he showed me a car with 36 miles on it. I thought to myself, how much more can it be more, especially since Marlon said he was very worried about the car I had just purchased. So, I went along with the newer car. I spent several hours talking with Cesar Robles (Kia Leesburg financing person) and Marlon. They knew that my goal was no more than $XXX monthly payments. Then Cesar took me to his office where I also spent hours and he went through all his suggestions for my new car—the gap insurance and warranty, which I later learned was almost an additional $10,000. All said and done, I was naïve enough to go along with their suggestions and at the end I found out that my new loan would be 4 times the amount of my other loan, with significantly higher monthly payments (well past my budgeted goal) and for 7 years! After going home and realizing what I had done, I was embarrassed and felt that I had been taken advantage of. It took me several days and several sleepless nights before I could even tell my children, who live far away. This was the first major decision that I had ever made by myself, as my husband usually took care of all these things. I trusted the people I had spoken to and they knew what my situation was. After talking with my family and friends, I realized that on my fixed income, my new monthly payment for 84 months (when I am 82 years old), would only leave me a few hundred dollars a month to care for my groceries and misc. expenses. A friend and I went in to talk with the general manager and he suggest several options to lower my monthly payments. The option I chose included cancelling my warranties, etc, and refinancing my new car. The other options would have involved more costs. So I signed paperwork with Cesar to cancel the insurance and warranties. He said he would take care of it that day. Not hearing from anyone, on 12/31 I called the warranty company and was told that the policies had been cancelled and that a check had been issued that day, and Kia Leesburg received it on 12/11/23 at their dealership. Up to this point, I had never suggested that they did anything illegal, just unethical. I truly feel that they took advantage of a senior citizen on limited income, pushing me towards a high monthly car payment, knowing that it would cause severe hardship for me down the road. I have called Ceasar over 10 times asking when the money would be available so I could refinance. I was able to reach him once when he said he would get back to me after he checked. He never called me back. Having not heard back from him, my friend called Yolan, the General Manager on 1/4/24 to express my concern over not being called back nor anyone explaining what has happened to the check they received. I had no idea if they lost it, if an employee embezzled it or if they were just trying to keep it. Yolan was sent an email and another phone call to follow-up, but even he had not called back to explain what would be happening. Finally, on 1/8/24 (28 days after they received it!), my bank called me to say that they had just received the check that day from Kia of Leesburg. I still have never heard back from Ceasar or Yolan. I have suffered many sleepless nights over this, have wasted a lot of my time and energy and health as that of my family and friends. More
