I brought my car in because of a recall on the air bag system and asked the price of a full synthetic oil change. I was told the oil change was 89.99 for full synthetic. I was told! would be given a ride home so I didn't have to sit there for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. instead I got to sit there for about 2 hours. According to my receipt I paid $10.79 for shop supplies, which were never brought up in the price quote, and 'OEM' also known as conventional oil was used. I had never paid over 60 dollars for a full synthetic oil change before and to be charged $ 107.79 for conventional oil change is larceny and a straight up lie about the oil used and the actual price. my car has had synthetic oil since I bought it years ago. also the oil change reminder sticker should be the current mileage because with synthetic I can go much longer than the 7500 miles the owners manual suggested for conventional oil. I. recap.. the service I brought the car in for wasn't done. The synthetic oil change price has hidden charges not mentioned. I paid ( overpaid!) for a synthetic oil change and got conventional oil. The oil change reminder was done wrong. I spent 30 years as a service writer and auto shop manager. If I did this crap in my shop I would have been fired. I would like to speak to the service department manager at his earliest convenience. More
Will Sharman was assigned to help me with my appointment. He was very efficient and courteous. The other personnel I dealt with were also very nice. I am new to this dealer as I just relocated to FL from MA. I had a scheduled appt @ 8:30am for an oil change, 27,000 mile check & asked them to check for recalls (I know I have 2). At 11:30 my car was fin MA. I had a scheduled appt @ 8:30am for an oil change, 27,000 mile check & asked them to check for recalls (I know I have 2). At 11:30 my car was finally done - oil change only - he said I have no recalls & everything is fine. I know I have a recall for piston rings - he said it’s only for a visual & everything is fine. I asked if he looked at them, he said no, it’s nothing to worry about, it’s really not a recall, there’s nothing to do. He also said it’s not time for my 27000 mile maintenance yet. I looked at the paperwork after I got home - the recalls are listed along with $1700 worth of work as upcoming. I don’t know what the part numbers mean, I don’t know what work needs to be done. He said nothing about any of it! I have just over 27000 miles on it - it’s still under warranty! Per Kia I have 2 recalls on piston rings that need to be taken care of immediately. I wanted the car checked before leaving on a trip to Canada - I am currently enroute of a 1700 trip one way. The last thing I want to do is stop for another 3 hour service appointment while on vacation! More

Service was very slow. I was there for scheduled appointment, oil change at 10:45. Waited 2 + hours for completion. I feel they were way overbooked.
