Took my 2017 optima hybrid in for engine knocking noise on 8/26/21 the next day got a message stating the tech had checked it and it was done. They informed me the tech wanted to check right lower passenger side of bumper to see if the engine knocking was coming from there I needed to authorize 2 1/2 hours (498$) More for the year down! I went to the dealership and had the service advisor to call the tech and ask if I could go on the test drive to show him what I heard once he had that he said it was a MisDiagnose and I needed a new engine, fast forward to Oct 13 (car been at dealership for 1 1/2 months) they text me saying the tech can’t finish my car because my battery is dead, I informed them it wasn’t dead when I drove it in there, called and Lia USA and informed them of this second attempt of fraud within and got text saying as a one good will they covered it got a text This morning 11/2/21 your car is ready for pick up I go down pay for the repairs and wait over an hour for them to bring me my car they never came I go to speak to the manager and they go look at last the same service advisor comes and say that they made a mistake and now I need a whole hybrid batter at the cost of 5727$ I’m like WOW! Then they in form me that my extended warranty does not cover it! This is a nightmare that refuse to go away . I’m in the process of finding a lawyer to file a suit against these people from the top of this dealership to the bottom it’s bad everything I have I have documents to back up . DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM KIA OF CARSON OR ANY KIA DEALERSHIP ITS ALL THE SAME. More
My husband and I purchased a 2016 Kia Optima from Carmax and in less than 5 months, there was an issue with the starter. The car was still under warranty but Carmax advised that we need to take it directly and in less than 5 months, there was an issue with the starter. The car was still under warranty but Carmax advised that we need to take it directly to the Kia dealer to fix, so we took it to Trophy Kia of Carson in December 2020. We needed a loaner which Carmax could not offer at the time. So, the service department advised us that if we went to Enterprise and got a rental, once the car is ready we would be reimbursed for the rental. Since December, I have called and emailed numerous times, but to no avail. Finally, last week ( and I don't why it took me so long to do this) I actually go up to the service department and found out they made the decision to deny my reimbursement back in March 2021 due to some policy. First of all, I was never notified of this decision...and secondly WHY am I being denied??!! Why aren't your employees trained on this "policy"? Now I feel like I have been cheated out of $200 and I really just want MY MONEY BACK!!!!! More
Just a horrible customer service. We sat for over an hour in our car and not even one service advisor had approached us to tell that they will be with us shortly. Over an hour, yet when I approached the mana in our car and not even one service advisor had approached us to tell that they will be with us shortly. Over an hour, yet when I approached the manager of service department to let him know our frustration. He said, because we were just walk in, they have to finish servicing those with appointments. Understandable, but why are we not being told ahead of time that such is the process? Frankly I will not recommend Kia customer service to anyone I know. This is just totally unacceptable. I am planning to sell this car when able and never even bother to consider buying another Kia period. 12 service advisors in a given day and not even one says helllo or hi and yet they are just tinkering on their cell phones or computers pretending to be busy. What a terrible experience we had. More
WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A DEALERSHIP EVER! I have been having issues with my car since the beginning of July. I have taken my car to Kia of Carson a total of 5 times in the past two months for a rattling having issues with my car since the beginning of July. I have taken my car to Kia of Carson a total of 5 times in the past two months for a rattling noise when I start car and also car cutting off while driving. Every time I take the car to dealership and explain the situation, they (Eddie or Eric) always tell me I will have to leave my car overnight. Then they NEVER communicate the status. I have to call several times, asking to be transferred to their lines, and they NEVER pick up or return calls. Then I'll receive a text message that my car is "ready". When I pick up my car, they (Eddie or Eric Espinosa) always tell me that they could not identify a problem or source of the problem. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT take your vehicle here and expect to deal with competent service providers or receive any type of service. The only thing you will leave with will be a headache, frustration, and a vehicle that has NOT been serviced. They don't communicate with customers. They don't return calls. They give you the run around when you ask specific questions. They don't offer a loaner car or even provide you with a dealership discount for a nearby rental car place. I can go on and on and on. Needless to say, my Kia is paid off and I was considering upgrading to a brand new Kia but after this experience and a similar experience in the past with Kia of Downtown, I will NEVER purchase another Kia. I really believe the company doesn't invest in their employees and this is the reason the customer service is so horrible. More

Made an appointment on the 24th of April at 8am. I waited until 11am to ask about my car. The service advisor was gone for some reason and then I later found out that they had to keep my car over the weekend until 11am to ask about my car. The service advisor was gone for some reason and then I later found out that they had to keep my car over the weekend. Advisor tells me that my car would be available on Monday yet doesn't answer phone, doesn't return calls, and didn't even offer me a rental or loaner vehicle. Total disregard for people and their time. I'm going to find a way to get rid of this car. This place is HORRIBLE More
Made an appointment last Wednesday Veterans Day 11-11-2020 12:30. When I get there I could tell it was busy I was about to leave but no I need my oil changed and I have an appointment.. Jose Estella informs me it's busy because of Veterans Day. I tell him I have a 12:30 appointment he tells me he has a hundred and four people in front of me. Sooooo what was the point of being able to make an appointment??? By 6p.m. they get me out of there. The next day I get an email saying I missed my appointment. Oh mind you my husband paid for a lifetime of oil changes and paid my car off a year early. So I feel I didn't get the best service because they had nothing to gain. I'm sure he did not want me to leave a bad review so it was easier to type in the system I missed my appointment. Sad and really disappointed. More
