Misleading? I originally felt Kia was responsive to my needs but 2 months later my car is still not fixed and I will need to consult another mechanic. I purchased I originally felt Kia was responsive to my needs but 2 months later my car is still not fixed and I will need to consult another mechanic. I purchased a used Nissan truck in June and two weeks after the sale someone informed me the driver low beam wasn't working. I replaced the bulb but that didn't fix it. I went to Kia and they replaced the light socket but that didn't work either. They told me they figured it out and needed to order another part from Nissan but it was on back order. So I left feeling good thinking the problem would be resolved. A month later the status didn't change so I requested several times the part number that was ordered so I could investigate other potential suppliers. To date the only thing the service department has provided is a photo of the part they think is the problem. My research indicates the part is not a Nissan product so I can't help but question did Kia just lie to me to get me out the door? It's been two months and I can't drive at night for fear of receiving a ticket. Service department says management needs to approve alternative options but they still haven't provided a part number. I live 70 miles from the dealership. More

Good start. I drive across the Tappan Zee on a Friday at rush hour and get there at 5:10 pm for my 5:15 pm appt at Kia of West Nyack (Anyone who lives in the Tri State area knows exactly what kind of ordeal this alone is:) I met with the salesman who initially told me the car had been sold and I stayed calm and told him it better have not been since I confirmed my appt a half hour before with Jorge - anyway, he found the car......yay I thought. So, off we go for a test drive and I liked the car and said "lets make a deal"🙂 I asked salesman who was the moneyman that I needed to talk to and he said initially it would be him (oy, here we go with "my manager said he can't do that"). OK, gave him the benefit of the doubt anyway and a few minutes later he comes back with a piece of paper (photo evidence can be provided. He starts talking to me about what I will pay depending how many months I want to finance and I looked and him and nicely smiled and said "but we haven't started negotiating yet" AND he just assumed I was financing since he didn't ask me- BUT THEN before I could even start I looked down at the paper and see 2 fees, a dealer fee and a dealer destination fee totaling $1490. Well as you can imagine my smile changed and I told him to remove the fee immediately especially since I had called and double checked what fees they had. So, he goes to "ask the manager" and comes out and tells me they have removed the fee. Great, Yippee I thought, lets start talking numbers. I look at the second piece of paper he then handed me and see that the car price has changed form $17000 to $17625, a $625 hike (again photo evidence can be provided). He realized I was really not happy and couldn't stop me in time when I took a photo of both papers. I told him to remove it immediately and he said he would go talk to his manager and I told him "NO, get your manager out her now" and he quickly grabs the papers and goes to get said manager and I ask if I could have the papers and he said “sorry no, they are in house only”. Manager comes out and said it was a mistake. PHEW right, cos I was starting to get a little worried? BUT NO, he actually tried to say it was a mistake on the internet price and that $17625 was the actual price of the car. Hmm, so I ask him that if it was a mistake on the internet, then why did the original piece of paper say $1700? He kind of flustered at that question and couldn't really explain it so I told him exactly what I thought and suggested that he was trying to pull a bait and switch to which he honestly answered, can't make this stuff up folks, no a bait and switch would be if we said $17000 and then it went to $19000. I could have asked him to review the paperwork and then say that again but I was too angry. This salesman and his moneyman (I don't actually believe it was the manager) actually thought that when I walked in the door, a single woman coming to buy a car alone, that it would be a walk in the Park. They are liars and scam artists and here is the link STILL showing the guaranteed price of $1700! More
