Thank you so much for taking the time to review not only our sales staff but also our service department. To answer your concerns about your stereo. You actually don't need the special cable from Kia unless you have an Apple device. This is a requirement made proprietary by Apple and not Kia. The vehicles don't come with one standard as the majority don't have Apple products. You do have other options. Depending on what package your Soul has, some 2011 Souls have Blue Tooth streaming which will allow you to wireless stream both your Pandora and your music files off your phone. If not, you can always connect your Iphone via the 1/8" aux jack on both your Soul and Iphone. Finally, you said you just got an Iphone. So if your music has not been downloaded from Itunes (DRM) you can put it all on a USB flash drive and listen to it directly from the USB plug on your Soul. I hope these give you some options that don't require you to purchase the cable. However, for less than $50 you can have complete control over all you Iphone music and playlists from your steering wheel controls, and have it charged at the same time with the Apple/Kia cable.
