Long story short, our salesperson, Faisal Islam, was trying to sell us off a USED vehicle for a new car. We visited this location twice, and today, we went in to actually purchase the vehicle. After two hours of stressful price negotiation, we proceeded into the finance office to complete the paperworks in buying new 2019 HYUNDAI Sonata SE. When we were signing the paperworks, one of the paperworks mentioned "used car," and when we questioned about the details of the form (since we are buying new vehicle), the finance manager, Lucine Martirosian, then informed us this 2019 Sonata SE that we were planning to buy was actually RETURNED from previous customer with over 100 miles in mileage. No one was able to provide us with a clear answer on why the vehicle was returned by previous customer. Not only were we not informed about this vehicle being categorized as USED on papers previous to this paperwork process (no one even bother to inform of this used status), their attitudes in handling this matter was not very professional at all. Lucine, the finance manager, was continuously trying to argue with us asking why we would not purchase this vehicle, when it's considered as "USED" only on paperworks, and that car itself will operate totally fine as new vehicle . She tried to fight me by saying that she would still buy this vehicle since it's technically new and marked USED only on paper. (She later apologized, and said she's only in the middle. Yes, exactly, why does she even care?) In addition, she stated that we are purchasing it for a lower price, because it was categorized as used (not a single portion of discount was due to such reason). Our salesman, Faisal, and the other finance manager was all very aware that we were there to buy a NEW 2019 SONATA SE white. On the other hand, It's very hard to understand that Faisal, the salesperson, was not "aware" of this car being sold as used, when he knew that this 2019 Sonata SE (white) was the very last one they had in inventory. Not only was he aware that this vehicle was the last White 2019 Sonata SE in inventory, Faisal was aware of us coming in today to purchase NEW 2019 Sonata SE, white. When we asked him if he knew that this vehicle is categorized as USED, he acted shock, but was aware of the EXACT mileage in this car, in which he NEVER mentioned throughout the negotiation at all. We obviously did not end up buying this vehicle. However, they have already ran Hard Inquiry on my brother's credit check, which lowered the credit score, in which there is no compensation at all for. I would personally recommend more transparent dealership, but if you insist on buying a NEW vehicle at this location, just check more thoroughly to ensure that you are actually purchasing a NEW vehicle, not only in operation but also on document for your own sake. Oh how fun it is Car shopping has never been a pleasant experience for my wife and I, until we met George Arau at Keyes Hyundai in Van Nuys. He made the whole experien Car shopping has never been a pleasant experience for my wife and I, until we met George Arau at Keyes Hyundai in Van Nuys. He made the whole experience start to finish a delight. George had helped us lease a Hyundai over two years ago, and when it was time for us to consider our options as our lease was close to ending, we knew we had to go seek his assistance again. Again he did not disappoint us. He listened to our needs and concerns, explained our options and worked with us to get a very good deal. No hassle, no unpleasantries, no lies and games. George is a caring, kind, trustworthy human being. Polite, courteous, knowledgeable, accommodating and very professional. We highly recommend George Arau if you want a pleasant, hassle-free, car buying or leasing experience. Needless to say we now have a new Hyundai and we love it. Thank you George, well done, A+++++ More

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I LEFT BEYOND PISSED OFF WARNING.. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORD, WEBSITE OR ADVERTISEMENTS, INCLUDING AUTOTRADER. THEY WASTED 6 HOURS OF M WARNING.. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORD, WEBSITE OR ADVERTISEMENTS, INCLUDING AUTOTRADER. THEY WASTED 6 HOURS OF MY TIME ON A SATURDAY.DON’T HONOR CORPORATE SPECIALS OR PROGRAMS. BEWARE OF THE “ADD-ON’S”. THEY ARE CLASSIC SCAM ARTISTS. I called keyes Hyundai on a Saturday morning, I expressed interest in a vehicle. I gave them all of the information they needed. I told them what Hyundai Corp lease deal I wanted, the exact vehicle on their lot I was interested in. I gave them my VIN, pictures and payoff amount of my trade in. There was nothing I left out. They told me to come on up. They could make it happen. I told them I was coming from far away, they told me to come in. I showed up, they looked at my car, I saw the car I wanted to lease and I sat down for the ensuing car dealership grind. The lease deal on the Hyundai website was $3889 down plus tax and license and $349.00 per month. I have attached the docs below. The first payment the sale manager came back with was $569.00 per mo.. OMG. How do you get from $349.00 to $569.00? They told me I was upside down on my car for $1,000.00. I told them I would pay that difference on top of the down payment already required, in cash. The sales manager then came back with a payment in the HIGH $400’s. OMG. They had supposedly added over $3100.00 of Add-on’s to the car that I didn’t need or want. They added $795.00 for an aftermarket car alarm by Karr Security, door trim guard protectors, and paint protection). Honestly, I saw and felt the car, it didn’t have the protection film on it yet. The vehicle already comes with a factory alarm, why would I need another alarm? Furthermore, the Karr alarm is an aftermarket alarm module that can be removed, if it was even installed yet. The Door trim protectors do not cost $795.00, even if they were installed. I told him that I didn’t want any of those add on’s. I simply wanted the vehicle listed as is on their website (shown in attachment) and the corporate lease deal offered by Hyundai (also show on attachment). The sales manager made two more trips to the “Finance office”. Each time he came back, I would ask specifics about the numbers, he honestly couldn’t explain what was in the payment. He was only concerned with how much I wanted to pay per month, which was clearly defined on the Hyundai Corporate website. He finally came out and told me that he wouldn’t sell me the car without the add-ons and he only had 3 of those cars left and they wouldn’t make enough $$ from the Hyundai Corporate lease offer. That was the only honest statement he made all day. The original sales person disappeared. I didn’t see him after the 1st round of number talks. I got in my car and drove home. I drove 4 hours total and wasted 2 hours in the dealership. I wasted over 6 hours of my time, on a Saturday, because of their tactics and dishonesty. Remember, I explained and told them everything I was looking for in detail before I even got in my car. Honestly, I think this is a huge case of false advertising. See the attached Hyundai lease special and their dealer website listing. However, the most criminal part was telling me to come up after I had disclosed everything I was looking for… **CRIMINAL** Someone owes me 6 hours and a Saturday back.. I wonder how Hyundai Corporate will feel about these tactics. I’m pretty much ready to go buy a Chevy Bolt after this experience. More
