Daniel and the whole team were so welcoming and helpful. They even put the car on a lift and had a technician walk through the inspection with me. Could not have asked for a better experience! STAY AWAY FROM KEY HYUNDAI OF MILFORD!!!!!!!!!!! I brought my car in for service because the engine was over heating and the engine light was lit. I foolishly paid $1,500 for service. I was assured t brought my car in for service because the engine was over heating and the engine light was lit. I foolishly paid $1,500 for service. I was assured that the problem was solved. Minutes after driving the car away it began to over heat again! $1,500 later and the problem was not even solved. I brought the car back to the repair dept. They cautiously conceded to the fact that they probably fixed the wrong thing. It was basically "trial and error". They looked the car over again and told me they would now fix the problem correctly for an additional $1,900. They would be willing to discount the amount by $100.00. How generous! I basically had to eat the $1,500. They would not even compensate me for THEIR mistake. Anyway I told them to take a hike and I brought it to a local, reputable mechanic. He fixed the problem for under $200.00. The engine is no longer over heating! Moral of the story....STAY AWAY FROM KEY HYUNDAI OF MILFORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read ALL their reviews. The repair dept. is inexperienced and greedy beyond comprehension. Thank you. More
My family and I have been loyal Key Hyundai customers for 20 years. We have purchased and leased 6 cars in total. I have watched this dealership decline over the past the few years. Last week I attempted to 20 years. We have purchased and leased 6 cars in total. I have watched this dealership decline over the past the few years. Last week I attempted to purchase a vehicle from Key Hyundai. This car would have been my family's seventh purchase from Key. I was stunned by the dishonesty, incompetence, confusion and chaos that has become Milford Key Hyundai Sales. I initially dealt with a salesman named Dan. He was the rudest, most impatient, arrogant man I have ever dealt with in business. The situation only grew worse as the week went on. So many people were involved in the potential sale. Everyone had a conflicting stories. Different prices. Different vehicles. Conflicting policies. Prices and vehicles suddenly changed without explanation. By the end of week it was impossible to determine who was telling the truth and who was lying. For some reason they were stalling and delaying the sale. Naturally I began to grow suspicious. I was finally given a day to close the sale and drive the car home. I showed up on the sale day and the car was not ready. I was told that my financial info was "lost" and I had to fill everything out all over again. I left messages for supervisors and managers. Not one call was returned. I felt at this point they playing games with me. Milford Key Hyundai just threw $60,000 worth of business out the door. I cancelled the sale this morning. I also warned the people to whom I referred this dealership. I do not want my family or friends subjected to the same mistreatment and shenanigans I endured. Even some of the staff members agreed with me about how awful the place has become. They also agreed that Dan is beyond rude. Anyway, I made a complaint and was told that I would be contacted by Jill Merriam's assistant, Krista Mondo by the end of the day. Of course Krista never called. These people couldn't care less that I am a 20 year return customer. Certainly Ms. Merriam is aware of how poorly this place is run. Nobody can convince me she is ignorant to this dysfunctional dealership. How does this place survive? They treat people so poorly. My message to Jill Merriam: Is this the way you would want to be treated? Would you want your family and friends treated this way? I find it interesting that you maintain the "We Care" slogan. I assure you the workers in your dealership did not care about myself or the business I had to offer. Slogans such as "We Care" and "Dealer for the People" are empty words unless you hire people who understand their actual meaning. These words are hollow unless your staff behave accordingly. Your staff is a reflection of you, Ms. Merriam. I am surprised you haven't learn this after your many years in the business. I am very active in the greater New Haven area. I can assure that your business is developing a very bad reputation. More
So happy with my experience at Key Hyundai and salesperson, Sam Turan. I was debating between purchasing a Ford Escape and Santa Fe and very pleased I decided on the latter. I am very sad to say I will probably never buy another car from this dealership again, and probably never another Hyundai. Let me start by saying I love my car and the previous 4 Hyundais I bought from th car from this dealership again, and probably never another Hyundai. Let me start by saying I love my car and the previous 4 Hyundais I bought from this same dealership, but never again and I'm so thankful I walked out before buying anything. Saying they are slimeballs is putting it mildly. They pressured, lied and bullied to get me into a car. They low balled my trade and kept giving me new numbers. In fact, they lowered their numbers 4 times before we walked out the door. Each time they acted like they were taking a "hit" but wanted too see me in "my" new car. Before we walked out, our final offer was that we could keep our trade and our payments would be even less than before. Huh?! Key Hyundai, don't haggle. Don't low ball. Don't hold your breath that some other sucker will come in off the street and take your first offer. THAT'S NOT HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE! I knew I should have left about 2 minutes into the sales pitch when another couple stormed out, but at the time I thought it was them with the issues. I learned instead that Key Hyundai is definitely NOT the Key Hyundai I remember and are definitely NOT "the dealer for the people". More
