When in for service instead bought a new car. We went in for service to have a recall issue addressed on our car, and Acura MDX 2011. The staff was friendly and courteous in the service department and offered for us to go wait in the waiting area which is out front. While out there we met one of the salesman and the sales manager and decided to take a walk through the lot. Found a car that we loved We took it for a test ride and ended out working a great deal with the salesman and the sales manager. One that was good for both parties. They wanted to finish a thorough cleaning and preparation of the car for us. So we ended up leaving without it, and they had a driver bring it to our house in Harrison an hour and a half away. That was the most awesome thing going. All of our staff was knowledgeable and courteous which helped in the decision making process to buy a car at Key Acura of Portsmouth. It was a great experience. Long delay in finalizing my bill paperwork. I was told that I was told at the navigation system update which I Purchased from Acura could be installed when I left the car for service. When I returned the sales I was told at the navigation system update which I Purchased from Acura could be installed when I left the car for service. When I returned the sales representative told me that they do not install this thing because dealership did not sell the navigation update product to me. My question is as an Acura dealer why do they not assist the customers with Acura products and parts? More

Smooth as butter Buying a new car can be super stressful and I am one who is filled with anxiety at the mere thought of car shopping. The time had come and I knew I wa Buying a new car can be super stressful and I am one who is filled with anxiety at the mere thought of car shopping. The time had come and I knew I wanted an Acura so I came into Key, unsure of what to expect and bracing for the usual hard sell. The sales staff was laid back and let me actually make my own choices without pressure, and management was a dream. Needless to say, I had my car picked out, and at a price I was happy with and my trip to the Finance Office was dreaded for no reason. Everything went fabulous and I now have my brand new car sitting in the drive way. Thank you Key Acura! I will refer you to my friends and family for sure and I am looking forward to experiencing the same treatment when I come in for service! More
More intersted in selling me tires I went into Key Acura for a recall issue (fuel pump). They updated the software without issue and performed their 16 or 18 point check and advised me that my worn (but still inspection-worthy) tired needed to be replaced. Apparently they never checked the tire pressures as 3 of 4 tires were under pressure when I arrived and were unchanged when I left. The dealership relocated from North Hampton the year before and apparently they haven't had time to update the very dated and unimpressive showroom and customer waiting area (think more like Kia or a used car dealer). Considering an oil change and tire rotation is $125, you'd at least expect a TV and maybe more refreshments that a few beverages. My only basis for comparison is when I take my wife's Lexus in for service and even though it's also pricey, you at feel like you're being treated like you own a luxury vehicle. So, after my visit, I was critical of the dealership for the reasons stated above in the survey from Acura. No response from Acura or the dealer. I doubt I will ever go back to Key Acura and will drive from Maine to Acura of Peabody should I need factory service. More

You decide Bought a 2012 with 17k miles used from here. We inspected the car and noticed a few minor scratches and door dings before purchasing however the car was so dirty from Salt dust we never saw the underlying severe hail damage. After driving all the way back to maine for the credit union financing and returning just 10 minutes before closing and after giving him the check and finding the car which was (hiding) under the garage. I noticed the hail damage. Spending much time in Colorado I knew how big a deal this was. Thats like 1500-2k damage. My daughter so happy, smiling, and them closing, as well as us leaving the house at 5 am and tired we drove away. Sorry but that should have been disclosed!!! I never expected the need to look for hail damage. And especially at an Acura dealer. You couldn't see it when it was dirty. I am upset with management for even selling this on their lot. And couldn't take the title fee off? Really? They didn't pay squat for that car. Well we did. My daughter is still smiling and we filled their pockets. Every dealership is the same. They notified us the car was as is 3 times. So my fault? Maybe. You decide! More
