I do apologize that you feel as if you were misled during your visit here. We strive to be as accurate as possible and provide an exceptional experience from beginning to end. Acura has very specific guidelines when it comes to the oil consumption bulletin and any associated tests we need to perform. They do require that we inspect for any oil leaks before we start a consumption test. The reasoning behind this is to narrow down where the oil is going, if the engine is burning the oil off, we know we are looking at oil consumption. Where oil was leaking from your engine, we would need to seal that up in order to perform the next steps in the process. Every vehicle that enters our shop automatically receives a complimentary multi point inspection where our technicians are trained to notify us and you about potential maintenance and/or safety issues.
