What a wonderful experience I usually do not do reviews. I found out about this site through a friend. I was telling her what a wonderful experience I had there a few weeks ago I usually do not do reviews. I found out about this site through a friend. I was telling her what a wonderful experience I had there a few weeks ago. I had just got out of my vehicle and was walking to the door when a sales associate approached me, Donna was her name. Her greeting was very upbeat and friendly. She asked me a few questions about what I was looking for. I was unsure at that time (saw commercial for Acura). We went inside and we talked for a bit and then took a test drive. She was extreamly knowledgeable about the product and we had a FUN test drive, a few laughs. When we came back, we discussed numbers and then she introduced me to her manager, I was a little nervous, managers usually try to push you into buying right away. Mark was not your typical manager, he just "talked to me", what a great manager, wish there was more like him. Because of the two of them, I did buy a car that day, very happy with my new vehicle and would recommend them to anyone that is interested in a great car buying experience. Thank you Donna and Mark. okay deal, but completely INCOMPETENT STAFF Let me preface my remarks by saying I have previously leased 4 cars from this dealership in the past without incident. The previous manager Bill Beck Let me preface my remarks by saying I have previously leased 4 cars from this dealership in the past without incident. The previous manager Bill Becker and salesman Bill Shoemaker always were great. When it was time to lease a new car again, I wanted to stay loyal to Boardwalk Acura. I was put in touch with Donna Poletti because my old salesman no longer works at Boardwalk. Ms. Poletti was very friendly and we agreed on a deal over the phone (I live an hour away) pretty quickly. After that my experience went downhill. I was assured by her, I would hear back before the end of the day on locating my vehicle. I didn't hear from her again for another 3 days after I had to call and complain. I spoke to Mark Fante-Rosenberg whose title is Sales Manager and Business Manager. This gentleman was not very bright to say the least and a little too condescending for my taste. After waiting a week to pick up my vehicle, I received 3 credit alerts that I have 2 new hard inquiries, Boardwalk Acura took it upon them self to run my credit not once, but twice (Boardwalk Acura and Honda Finance) which was completely unauthorized by me. This in turn hurt my score as I now have 2 hard inquiries which stay on my credit for 2 years. I addressed both Ms. Poletti and Mr. Rosenberg about my concerns and unhappiness. I have several email correspondence with the both of them proving this. Ms. Poletti explained this area is not her expertise and again referred me to Mr. Rosenberg. Mr Rosenberg was so clueless, he told Ms. Poletti we knew each other already. I never had met this man in my life, but I guess he has a memory like Andy Pettitte. He basically gave me the runaround for a few minutes, telling me it doesn't affect my score so he could get the deal done. He either has zero clue how hard inquires affect ones credit, or was trying to blow me off. Either reason though is unacceptable to me. The fact he thinks a hard inquiry on your credit does not lower your score at all shows you this mans incompetence. He had to reprint my contract to sign about 4 times as well, wasting my time and making my visit to Boardwalk take that much longer. After I left with my car I received an email from him asking me to please give all yes's on my survey and if I am unhappy with anything at all to please contact him first to resolve it. Once again, I asked if he could please fix the issue with my credit and remove one of the hard inquiries as I did not authorize it to be done twice. He assured me he would take care of it and actually asked me how to fix it and who to call, like I was the one who made the error in the first place. After I told him, I am not fixing his mistakes, he backtracked and now refuses to fix his error. Bottom line, the Acura TLX is a great car, but the man in charge now at this dealership is a complete nightmare. If you don't want to deal with incompetence or have your credit ruined this definitely is not the dealership for you. More
Service department went for routine check 3 weeks ago- told everything including tires were good- one week later went sensor light failed and was told my tires (38,000 went for routine check 3 weeks ago- told everything including tires were good- one week later went sensor light failed and was told my tires (38,000 miles) all needed to be replaced as they were peeling away- was told I did not have "experienced mechanic" when I had initial maintainence done- service manager was rude but eventually replaced tires at his cost- gives me no confidence in the rest of the checkup as to my car's condition More
