Greg was extremely helpful in describing the car over the phone. I was traveling from about 75 miles to buy the car, so it was very beneficial to have such good information and he was very friendly and ther phone. I was traveling from about 75 miles to buy the car, so it was very beneficial to have such good information and he was very friendly and there was a straight forward approach about pricing that made me feel very comfortable. Mike was the person who handled showing us the car and arranging all paper work since Greg was off. He made it seamless and answered all questions with courtesy and respect. He explained the rewards program, which I think is a good idea and plan to use it and would not hesitate to refer my friends and family because of my positive experience. More
My wife and I had been to five other Toyota dealerships in the weeks leading up to our purchase and Kerry was by far the best. Our salesmen was knowledgable with all aspects of the vehicle and when he did in the weeks leading up to our purchase and Kerry was by far the best. Our salesmen was knowledgable with all aspects of the vehicle and when he did not know an answer he told us he did not know and found an answer promptly. I really appreciated the honesty and straitforward attitude. I did not expect to enjoy the experience and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it turned out to be. Great Dealership! I would most definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and family. We were even taken to the service department and introduced to the people who would be taking care of the car. I have been nothing but impressed by Kerry Toyota. More
I had been looking for a car for months. I found a car at the NKU tent sale memorial day weekend 2011. It was a metallic kind of green 2009 camry. I really like the car and it had all the features I was at the NKU tent sale memorial day weekend 2011. It was a metallic kind of green 2009 camry. I really like the car and it had all the features I was looking for in my price range. We sat down with Mike Burton and began the process of the paper work. Great...so far so good...we were very excited about the ease of all this. Just as we were about done with the paper work, our credit run and approved, and the deals all made...guess what...the car was already sold to a couple sitting next to us...xxx...a tic on the credit score, poor communication between sales and now no car. Off we went...but WAIT!!!! The general manager Mark Stein was informed of KERRY TOYOTA's mistake and they were going to sell us a 2011 (used camry) for the same price as we agreed on for the other car. GREAT....a NEWER CAR FOR THE SAME PRICE!!!!! Redemption for Kerry Toyota and my F-bombs! Well NOT SO FAST!!!! We proceeded with the paper work for the new car and all was okay. This was on Sunday. We get a call that the finance person forgot to have us initial a part of the loan paperwork specific to GE credit union. Understandable, so we returned to the tent sale still happy with the "new" car to initial this spot on the loan paper work. Sorry rewind- on Sunday I discussed with Mike Burton some areas that needed work on the car. "No problem Margaret we will get that taken care of, just call and set it up and we can arrange a rental car" Also, I'll get your 2nd Key in the mail. Monday happens...still no problem...still pretty satisfied. We played phone tag a few times about getting our paystubs to Kerry Toyota for the finalization since everything was done at the tent sale, it was still understandable that we needed to continue finalizing the paperwork. Its becoming annoying because the car buying process that already seems to drag on forever...was neverending feeling. Anyhow, paystubs, papers signed, all that..I believe that the car sale is finally over. WRONG!!!!! We get a call from Mike Burton that we have to come to the dealership in Florence KY (i live north of Cincinnati...so its not far, but definetly out of the way) why you ask? Because KERRY TOYOTA processed the WRONG VIN NUMBER on all of the paper work. NOW I'm aggravated. I didn't realize i needed to check the paper work of a car that these "professionals" were processing to sell me a car...MY MISTAKE. Off we go to Florence to process all the paperwork again. To no surprise, when we get there, some of the paperwork is wrong and has to be redone and reprinted...as we are said to be finished...i sit and I say...you want to have us initial that GE CREDIT specific spot now...or should I wait to get a call to do that too. DUH!!!!! Learn your job! DONE....We were given a full tank of gas for our trip down there, which was a nice gesture. Mike Burton made sure that was taken care of. He also got me Jeff Culp's business card to help make the next trip for getting those things fixed on the car smooth...HA HA HA! For the record, I do not have a problem with him, just the other yahoos in the dealership. I call Jeff Culp to arrange a time for the sevice. No problem. I ask about the loaner car BIG PROBLEM. I need to speak to someone else about the loaner car. Okay WHO? I get transferred to someone who's name I forgot to take. (By the way, i'm still not sure if my car is do for an oil change as the sticker indicates it was due at a mileage before I ever test drove the car and according to everyone it is done at the time of certification (which i'm surprised they'd certify a car needing paint touch ups for minor scratches on the bumper, and 3 spots on the windshield with little rock chips, a broken seat heater, a broken door on the console, and display issues on the radio) And yes, I was aware of these but that Whole NO PROBLEM BUMPER TO BUMPER THING, gave me reassurance that these could be fixed. Car is scheduled for service, STILL haven't had a loaner car secured. Here's why. At the time of purchase, a "Do BIll" was supposed to have been filled out. No such thing ever happened. After multiple calls, and lack of return calls, I spoke to TJ Miller who said Mike Burton is in new sales and didn't know to do the bill. FINE whatever, I don't care, can you please arrange to get these simple things fixed, give me a loaner car, and find out if my freaking car needs an oil change. By the way, i'm still waiting on my key. (Originally it was going to be mailed, then we decided to pick it up beause of the service that was going to happen which never happened, now after speaking to Mike Burton today, July 12, 2011, he is mailing it) TJ Miller said Mike was mistaken, that there never was a key and we got what the car came with. I said "Really?" "Mike said the key was at the dealership, that it just wasn't brought over for the tent sale" TJ indicated that Mike was mistaken and that there is not key. The problem is that yes, its a nice car, and has a smart key, and i'm not about to pay $400 for a new smart key to have a back up for the car when one was promised to us. I actually still believed that there was a key for the car in existence because I don't think that would be something to lie about. Therefore I called Mike today and he is sending the key. Thanks TJ, way to know whats up. After speaking to TJ and a rather frustrating conversation of how we can't have a loaner car, or we can, or we can't, or we can, he was going to figure things out then call back. TJ called back and apologized that he was busy doing other things and now he just needed to go over the DO BILL he was drafting (which i forgot to mention earlier, there should have been one drafted already because during all this back and forth, i was connected to a customer service rep who was going to draft the do bill after the initially scheduled service time and realization that there was not a do bill) The first do bill as al lof the problems listed. The 2nd does not because I forgot, while talking to TJ, last night. In case someone from Kerry reads this...the windshield, the paint, the seat, the console, the radio display, the car pulling hard right, all needs to be fixed! I just want to bring the car in 1 time, get this fixed, and oh...can someone tell me about the car's oil changing? I still haven't been able to find 1 person to tell me if it has or hasn't. According to TJ Miller, "they don't put stickers in the windows anymore, so they just forgot to remove this one"..Okay whatever. Anyhow, today I received a call from I believe Beth, to schedule my car coming in. I need to bring it in the first time to just get looked at no service done, then the 2nd and maybe 3rd time to get the service problems fixed, and then another time for the touch up and windshield if those can't be scheduled together. GREAT 3 more trips to Kerry in Florence... well at least 2! I was looking, and had been looking for a new car. My 2006 hyundai sonata which drove like a champ! was just getting high mileage. the selling point on the toyota was the resale value, plus it is a xxxx of a nice car BUT...honestly, i wish I went with a new sonata, i loved that car, and wish i never bought this car, and am looking at trade in values next because this whole experience just has left a horrible taste in my mouth and i'd rather buy a new sonata now and be done with KERRY TOYOTA. I think toyota's are great cars, but I probably will never buy one again just because of this experience, maybe I shouldn't blame the company, but you'd think they'd have dealerships at least as smart as their cars. UPDATE 7/19/2011 Chick in customer service arranged with Beth in rentals for me to have a rental until all the things needing to be fixed could be fixed. Thanks Chick and Beth...you were very helpful!!!! I took my car in last Thursday, and was giving a rental which I still have. Today TR Miller (i was reffering to him as TJ i believe) calls my phone(Margaret) at 2:36. The conversation went like this: TR. "Is this Nancy" Me. "No, this is Margaret" TR. "Oh, well it doesn't really matter does it" Me. "No it doesn't" (I thoroughly dislike, this chauvinistic, condescending, LITTLE man-who also is the kind that likes to touch when you're talking to him) TR. Well wanted to let you know the heated seats won't work when the temperature is a certain degree, but they are coming on. Me. "OK" TR. "The line on the radio was just a hair so they removed that for ya" Me. "NO, i'm not stupid, I know what a hair is, these were red lines in the display on either side" TR. "Well they couldn't find any problem with it" ME. OK TR. "And the windshield is sorta fixed" ME. "UH...sorta fixed" TR. "Yeah, the guy came and did the best he could, but you can still see the three spots on the windshield" ME. "Well almost fixed isn't good enough. Either you fix them or replace the windshield" TR. "Well we aren't going to do that, they are fixed as best as they can be" Some where during this conversation, I called him out on being a liar. Saying it was xxxxxxxx about "not putting oil change stickers in the car" and that he lied about the whole ordeal with the key, trying to tell me Mike Burton was mistaken." TR: "I'm the one trying to help you, and how would I know if Mike Burton has the key...What is MIKE BURTON your savior now" ME. NO! NO one there is!!!! Don't EVER call my phone again, and I hung up TO which point I immediately called back asking for Mark Stein. I was ignored and directed to Chick. Chick has been helpful but FYI receptionist answering the phone...I asked for MARK STEIN, by name...I want to talk to the general manager!!! Anyhow, I spoke with Chick, and was directed to tell anyone else who might call that i'm only dealing with Chick. That is fine. Meanwhile, while i was sharing what just happened, Beth, from the rental area came in with the keys to my partially fixed car. Chick is going to call back when there is some understanding of if the car is PROPERLY fixed or not. I also indicated that TR had better not call my phone as he is a nasty little xxxxx! Nancy shared with me that she wonders the treatment we would have gotten if we were men. I couldn't agree more. I wonder..."HEY LOOK TWO STUPID WOMAN BUYING A CAR" I should have KNOWN better when the first thing out of another KERRY salesman from a different dealership, Chevrolet, I think, maybe Hyundai, at the NKU tent sale, was "WHAT COLOR DO YOU WANT"...guess what? I don't care about the color...I want to know the specs on the car. These are like the xxxxxxxx that try to sell woman 4cyl SUV's to tow horse trailers with...Well i'm one of those women who walk in informed and knowledgeable so KERRY TOYOTA can shove the whole SPECTRUM of colors up their arse...minus CHICK and BETH!!!! By the way, I'm still eagerly awaiting CHICK's call to see the status of the car, and also...I would LOVE to speak with the GM and the OWNER of this dealership! NOT that I expect anything, considering the types of people they have doing business with paying customers, and the many ERRORS made by the dealership, and my all time favorite...the sleazy TR Miller and his slimey words and to close for comfort mannerisms! Lesson learned: When you're a consumer, spending your money, don't waste your time or money if you are AT ALL, played or screwed! I wish I would have kept walking! I was especially pleased with the new Express Service. What use to take 1 1/2 hours for an oil change only took 20 minutes. I purchased my first new car at Kerry Toyota and it was a long time coming! Michael Hoppius was the salesmen that assisted me in staying within the means that I wanted to stay in and he did not offer anythin long time coming! Michael Hoppius was the salesmen that assisted me in staying within the means that I wanted to stay in and he did not offer anything else. Michael Hoppius painted me a financial picture that assisted me in making my decision. I did the research for weeks at a time and was glad to finally come up with him as a salesman. I had gone through several and several dealers who weren't able to do for me what Michael Hoppius did. And he had a sense of humor that could appreciate my sense of humor. I enjoyed my experience. I went in with what he offered me on the internet and there was no negotiation. I got my car that I had made up my mind on and that was that. Simple. I enjoyed my experience at Kerry and their sales staff. Thank You. More
Jerren made our decision to buy, and process of buying so very easy! He is dedicated to customer service. We had shopped for another make/model...and when in negotiations, the sales person told me he would very easy! He is dedicated to customer service. We had shopped for another make/model...and when in negotiations, the sales person told me he would call the net day.....I had to call him 2 days later.....This was NOT the case with Jerren. We came in to see the car on a Tuesday and phoned later that night with an offer...we talked until after close. When I gave him my final offer, he said he was back in the office on Thursday and would talk to his manager and call ASAP. After the "other experience" I was not sure if/when I would hear back. Jerren phoned at 12:17 on Thursday with a follow up. We struck a deal and went to sign papers and pick up the car that evening. When we pulled in the lot, he was waiting for me next to my new car which had been detailed and already had its temp tags. Dustin sat with us to go over loan paperwork...no hidden fees, no hidden anything. He explained every detail and made the finance paperwork completely painless! More
We were told by our sales man that our minivan also came with a great warranty, it would cover everything and there was no deductible. I have had the minivan for about 2 months now and there is a problem wi with a great warranty, it would cover everything and there was no deductible. I have had the minivan for about 2 months now and there is a problem with the transmission and guess what now all the sudden I have a deductible and I have to pay to diagnose the problem. I expained to them that we were promissed this great warranty with no cost to us and I was told "well I did speak to the sales man who sold you the car and I am sorry that he got a little overzealous but he sells alot of cars and just got confused about what warranty went with your purchase" "however what I can do is hold him against the wall and allow for you to give him a good lashing" are you kidding me what kind of business allows their employees to conduct business like that!!!!!!!!
