Every other dealer gave me a price up front. When Kerry didn't and asked what other dealers quoted, I told them I don't do business that way. Given the second chance, they still didn't give me a price, so didn't and asked what other dealers quoted, I told them I don't do business that way. I thought it was pretty clear I wanted them to give me a price, not me give them one first. They did the old "let me get my manager", so I stayed to be courteous. The "manager" came out after 10 minutes and also would not give me a price, so I told him the conversation was over, and got up and left. He chased me out and said I was rude! ME, the guy with $24,000 in my pocket, who told him exactly wanted, ie his best price, the guy whose time he was stealing, and he called ME rude. I don't remember that tactic from How to Win Friends and Influence People. I confess, I became did rude at that point. This is old school dirt ball hard sell at it's worst. They have no business selling a fine brand like Toyota. Every other dealer gave me a starting price. It's the 21st Century Kerry, acting the stereotype doesn't cut it anymore. But thanks for the story, and sorry for your lost sale to a real modern dealership. More
Jerron was awesome to work with from my first test drive of a Prius (how the heck do you turn this car on?) to helping me rent a Prius for an extended test drive to my actual purchase of a Prius. In addition, he went above and beyond by helping my mother who was having problems with her recently purchased Corolla helping her to solve her problem. I bought a new Camry from Kerry Toyota over the weekend and the experience could not have been better. I called Mike Burton in advance to tell him what I was interested in and he met me and showed me a wid and the experience could not have been better. He told be all about the cars and expalined the differences and he answered all of my questions. When it came time to negotiate a price, he gave me an excellent deal. I know I couldn't have gotten a better deal anywhere else. Mike and Bruce and Jim went over the paperwork and offered additional services. They carefully described the services and explained the costs. We wound up buying the sealant protection and maintainance upgrade. I'm glad i did. I definitely recommend Mike Burton and Kerry. Incidentally, I've been a long standing customer of Kerry Service (35 years( and I recommend them too. I always get great service at fair prices and like Mike Burton, Greg and Mike and the other foks at Kerry Service all treat me like I'm an important customer and they treat all of their customers that way. We were prepared for the typical car purchase: heavy pressure, numbers-rigamarole. We were very pleasantly surprised at the more straightforward sales experience we had. The folks at Kerry Toyota are very customer service satisfaction oriented. They are very approachable, friendly people. The service department at Kerry is extraordinary and exception. Moe Shehadeh, my salesman, came out immediately to ask if I needed help and assisted me in choosing my car. After the purchase and at delivery, he thoroughly went over everything on the Prius and made sure I understood everything before I drove away. Bruce Selnick worked with me to give me the price and payment that were within my budget. Dustin Robinson, who closed the deal and went over all the paper work was also very friendly and explained everything in detail. Over the past two years I have had my car serviced at Kerry and have never had a negative experience, always positive. When I find a company that I like and gives great customer service like Kerry, I stick with them. Good customer service is difficult to find these days and when I find it I truly appreciate it. More
