HARD TO BELIEVE, BUT THIS IS TRUE! - Kerry Toyota currently has an ad in cargurus.com stating they have a used 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Limited for sale for $31,195. The mileage is a little over 11, currently has an ad in cargurus.com stating they have a used 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Limited for sale for $31,195. The mileage is a little over 11,000. This price for a used Avalon is excellent IF it were actually an Avalon Hybrid Limited. I called Kerry Toyota to make sure they still had the car. The salesperson had trouble finding it, but called me back to say that he did. He encouraged me to hurry down because another buyer from Louisville would be coming in later to take a test drive. I rushed down and met the salesman and began asking questions about the car. I soon found out that what I was looking at was NOT a Hybrid Limited. There were a few features it didn't have the Limited would have as standard. Immediately we both looked at the sales sticker on the window and saw that the car was labeled, "2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring." I became suspicious. The salesman left for about 10 minutes to talk to the manager. They were willing to lower the price somewhat because of the mistake and they were apologetic. (The Hybrid "Touring" model is the intermediate model. The "Premium" is the entry Avalon Hybrid and the "Limited" is the luxury model.) I took a few minutes to research pricing on the Touring model and felt that the price we agreed to was fair. I agreed to purchase the car. Toward the end of my time at Kerry, the salesman was showing me the features on the car and how to operate them. He had a hard time going through them and didn't seem as familiar with the car as he should be. I asked him about a couple of features that were CLEARLY SPELLED OUT ON THE SALES STICKER. The first was the driver seat/mirror settings that can be automatically set for 2 different drivers. He said he didn't know where those controls were. I also asked him about the navigation screen and controls and he said he didn't think this car had navigation. So I popped out of the car and looked at the sales sticker and the car and both the seat setting AND the navigation features were CLEARLY SPELLED OUT ON THE SALES STICKER. I asked him what was going on and he said, "I really don't know, but I'm not sure you have the Touring, you might have the XLE." At that point I wrongly assumed that he just didn't know how to show me those STANDARD FEATURES on the XLE Touring and that I could find them myself once I started going through the car with manual in hand. I drove it home. The next morning I was up early. I was inside the car with the manual and I started going through the car feature by feature. What I found is that, THIS CAR DID NOT HAVE THE STANDARD FEATURES OF 2013 AVALON HYBRID XLE TOURING. Why didn't it???? Because it was actually the base model of the Avalon Hybrids...the Premium. The car was advertised as a Limited. The sales sticker said it was an XLE Touring, but in fact, the car was an XLE Premium!!!!!! I was hot. I first called Toyota National and gave them the VIN number. They confirmed that the car was the Premium and NOT THE TOURING. I immediately filed a case with them. Then, I called Kerry Toyota. The responses I received from them were unbelievable. Here are some quotes: "Look, you bought a very nice car and the price is a very good price even for a Premium. You should be happy." Another said, "Do you actually think we'd sell you an Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring at the price you paid? We would never have done that!" Or how about, "You can't prove the sticker said it was a Touring model, and anyway, we can't find the sticker. It's long gone and thrown away. There's no proof." And then as a show of remorse (HA!) they said, "Well since you're this dissatisfied with your car, we'll take it back and give you your money back. You should feel lucky because we don't give people their money back very often." Needless to say, I took the car back and received all my money back...and get this, no apology whatsoever. Three days ago I called the General Manager to tell him the story. I left a message on his voicemail and also on the voicemail of a customer relations representative for Kerry Toyota. I've not had a response from either of them. At worst this is a case of complete unethical business practice by fraudulently labeling a car. Or, it is the action of a cast of idiots who aren't capable of being competent. On the Kerry insignia it should read: "BUYER BEWARE!" CAVEAT EMPTOR! I would not recommend Kerry Toyota to anyone. There are some very good dealers in my area and I found a superb car at an excellent price, sold to me by a fine and honest dealership near Dayton, OH. More

For Kerry Toyota in Florence, my review/report is all positive. A Toyota Tundra, owned and operated by Kerry Toyota, crashed into and almost destroyed my 2010 Prius...borderline "total". Kerry Toyota m positive. A Toyota Tundra, owned and operated by Kerry Toyota, crashed into and almost destroyed my 2010 Prius...borderline "total". Kerry Toyota management was concerned, arranged to have my Prius restored to pristine condition at their Collision Center, provided me with a 2014 Camry, free of charge, during the 6 weeks needed to rebuild my Prius. When I expressed concern about the "diminished value", they provided a replacement Prius, one year newer and with 15,000 less miles. WOW...a car dealership you can trust and with integrity. H. Test drove a 2005 Dodge Ram, everything sounded good and felt good. Proceeded to purchase the truck, 2 days later the Wheel bearing went out. They fixed the wheel bearing, but a few days later the check eng felt good. Proceeded to purchase the truck, 2 days later the Wheel bearing went out. They fixed the wheel bearing, but a few days later the check engine light came on and I was told the catalytic converter was shot and I was getting under 10m/gallon. Given that my tech told me the issue had been cleared out of the computer multiple times, I believe the issue was known by the dealer and not disclosed before my purchase. Kerry Toyota has refused to offer any assistance in making the repair that will cost $600.00+ just in parts. I do not recommend shopping Kerry Toyota. More
I purchased a new Toyota Avalon only to find the car had body damaged. Upon picking up my vehicle, it was parked in a place that the damage was not noticeable. It had a 4" gash on the back door. It was thro body damaged. Upon picking up my vehicle, it was parked in a place that the damage was not noticeable. It had a 4" gash on the back door. It was through the paint and metal and indented. Also, the stereo speaker was damaged and the seat was broken. I was told by the dealership, that no one knew the vehicle was damaged. I have a new car that has been painted and has had body work. The seat has been out twice before they got it fixed. When I picked the car up from being painted the exterior was covered in overspray and the interior was covered with dust from the body shop. They had my car a total of 19 days to fix these damages. A new car should never be delivered in this condition. The car had been washed so someone had to know the car was damaged. I do not feel like I have a new car. I expressed my displeasure to the dealership and their response was we fixed your car. This is unacceptable!!! When you purchase a new car it should be free from blemishes. You should never be sold a damaged car, if it is being sold as "NEW". I think the time it took to repair these issues is unreasonable. I gave this dealership poor rating mainly because I bought a "new" car that was in a "used" car condition. Would never recommend this dealer to anyone and I will never return their again. More
