Total disregard for the customer I took my xtype in to get a new computer put in. After they reprogrammed the old computer they said that my fuel pump had gone bad and that it needed I took my xtype in to get a new computer put in. After they reprogrammed the old computer they said that my fuel pump had gone bad and that it needed to be replaced. They wanted over 1100.00 in labor to replace the fuel pump. I decided to take it somewhere else to replace the fuel pump. Brought it back because it still would not start. Three days later after my appointment I called and left a message for Lindsey to call me. The next day I called back because I had not heard for her. They said that the fuel pump was still bad and needed to be replaced. I took it back to the other mechanic and all that was wrong was a bad fuel filter. Lindsey will not return your calls in a timely manner, and then acts like you are a complete idiot. I have never been treated more rudely and felt like I was interrupting their day then when I have felt with this dealership. It took them over three weeks to replace an instrument cluster, and the long series of errors and miscommunications they made would be laughable if they weren't so completely incompetent. Hats off to Jonathan in the service department as a model example of incompetence, and the service manager, Lindsay Gifford, who should be embarrassed running a shop that is laughably incompetent. Take your Jag for repair anyplace other than Ken Garff Jaguar. More
Ken Garff Jaguar exhibits poor quality of service, incompetance and horrendous customer service. My 1989 Jaguar XJS was originally taken to Garff for a routine oil leak and instead now suffers a litan incompetance and horrendous customer service. My 1989 Jaguar XJS was originally taken to Garff for a routine oil leak and instead now suffers a litany of issues from their disrepair: a screw that was put through my beautiful mohogany dash as well as a chip to the 20 year old dash that was pristine before Garff, damage to the inside lining of my passenger side, inability to fix an ABS light that keeps coming on, and repeated misdiagnosis of a subframe issue. Their customer service is non-existant: I never get calls from them about my car, their service manager has never responded to an email I sent about the horrible status of my car, and they have never once returned my car in clean condition. My father owns a 1994 Jaguar which had to be shipped to Jaguar (Ken Garff) in Salt Lake City from our home in Wyoming because it had a transmission failure light and was not to be driven. After 'supposedly' working on the Jaguar for 2 months, my father drove down to pick it up because it had been 'repaired'. When he arrived it was completely dirty (mud was caked everywhere, the headlamps, the grill, the sides; I kid you not) and parked on the other side of the street away from the dealership. My father was livid and rightfully so; they washed the car but not without incident. When my father drove the car off the lot it had all the same problem lights come on again (transmission failure light, headlamp failure, etc). Furious, my father did not take the car back to Ken Garff Jaguar and instead took it to someone who knew how to fix one (Stevinson Jaguar in Littleton, Colorado). If you have an older Jaguar, do not take it to Ken Garff, because they do not know how to fix it. Instead take it to another dealership where they will actually show you respect from the customer service desk and treat you like the Jaguar enthusiast that you are. More
