Thank goodness I got a second opinion somewhere else. After telling the service department what had happened, lots of check engine lights and a loss of power steering, following a dead battery and jump s After telling the service department what had happened, lots of check engine lights and a loss of power steering, following a dead battery and jump start; I was told that the power steering motor was fried and that it and the gear box had to be replaced for a cost of approximately $3,000. I must’ve jump started the battery incorrectly they said. I know the correct way to jump start a vehicle and I didn’t do it backwards. Taking it to another repair place I was told that all that was wrong was that the battery needed to be replaced for a cost of $70. And apparently from what the second repair place said, and a quick search online, the loss of power steering and false engine codes are a common occurrence after jump starting modern day Fords. This was on a 2016 Ford Edge. If it’s common one would hope that a Ford service department would know that it was an easy fix. It makes me wonder if the repair tech even checked anything. The power steering motor is NOT fried and is working just great with the new battery. Very poor and deceptive service. Makes me not want to have any recalls fixed at this dealership. More

This was an incredibly disappointing experience. I brought my truck in for service 25 Sep 2020 at 11:00 AM. I was told diagnostics would take 4 hours. No one called me. I called shortly before closing brought my truck in for service 25 Sep 2020 at 11:00 AM. I was told diagnostics would take 4 hours. No one called me. I called shortly before closing and was told my truck was ready and had been for some time. When I picked it up I was told parts should arrive the following week and they would call. The week passed with no call. I called the following week for status. They could not provide it and again said I would be contacted. Again it didn't happen. 3 weeks I called again with the same results. I took my truck to another dealer who fixed my truck in 3 days. For some reason, Garff Ford was not interested in fixing my truck. As of today, 10 Nov 2020, no one has contacted me about servicing my vehicle and I certainly don't expect it. Pathetic. More

We gave them a 5 star review before because it was stellar. This was when we only needed a key made. We were called to set up an appointment for a recall on our vehicle, this was amazing because we didn't have to reach out to them. They initially tried to set up our service to be completed at the dealership furthest from us in our state, not so great. We were able to get into the American Fork dealership. The person who set up the appointment made sure we understood the parts would be ready and it may take longer than a day, once again this was great to know. We get there to drop off the car, they told us they would bring it back and begin the service. A few hours later they contact us telling us that they don't have the parts and that they would have to order them and have us come back in the following week (4 days later) to install the parts. This frustrated us and led to this 3 star review, because we were told they would have the parts and we would just have to wait for service. We still don't understand why they wouldn't have the parts for the service and why we would have to give up another day for the vehicle to be serviced. They were aware of why we were coming in, we were assured by the initial representative. They should have had the part to complete the service. Instead the response we received was that they didn't have the part and they would have to order it, and that the initial representative who set up the appointment wouldn't even know if they had the part for the replacement. We will continue to use their service since it is in our area. They had good communication both this time and the last time, when it came to keeping us up to date with the items going on in the background, thank you Nate. That was good but that should be expected. Thus 3 stars. More
