I came in for the theft deterrent software update on my 2018 Kia and to get my transmission fluid changed. My appointment was for 2:00 PM on June 23, 2023. I arrived early. There were about seven cars a 2018 Kia and to get my transmission fluid changed. My appointment was for 2:00 PM on June 23, 2023. I arrived early. There were about seven cars ahead of me in the line that extended up the Service Entrance driveway. Mick greeted me and offered to see if he could find a car for me to use while I waited. Fast forward to 4:00 PM. No one came to talk to me. People came and went. I went out to ask what was holding things up and my car was still parked in the service entry area. Mick sent me back to the waiting area. He eventually gave me three options: a car overnight, reappoint, or stick it out. I stuck it out. Three hours after I arrived my car was finally done. Oh, and it turns out I didn't need the software update-- which was the main reason I made the appointment to begin with. I would think they could have told me that when I checked in. There was no hot water in the lounge area, which upset several waiting customers. A small thing for me, but it added to the frustration level of everyone around me-- most of whom were complaining about delays and lack of communication. Another customer and his wife who came in for an oil change were there almost as long as me. He told me he would never come back to your dealership-- ever. $289.52 for work I would have delayed had I known the security update was unnecessary. It was an expensive, time-consuming, irritating experience. Not what I expected from a Ganley dealership. More
