Hi Bruce. We are sorry to learn about your experience. After reaching out to our General Manager, Adam Hoyt, we understand that you came in to see and test drive a C-Max for your daughter. One of our salesmen, Ambrose, asked if you wanted to purchase the vehicle and put down a deposit, but you preferred to wait and talk to your daughter first. Unfortunately, the car sold during that time, and we could not hold it due to not having a deposit put down. We are more than happy to continue working with you to find a similar car in your budget. That's pretty much what happened on Wednesday in fact I told Ambrose I very much liked the car and would like to bring my wife by for a test drive, it's time to update our car as well. If the car was sold, why didn't Ambrose or Larry simply tell me....in 3 phone conversations on Thursday, I gave my credit card information and authorization for the required deposit, I informed Ambrose that my daughter completed the credit application online and we would be up on Friday with a $7000 down payment. In the last conversation we reviewed everything we needed to bring and he said he would bring the car into service. On Friday morning I received a text message just before 10am that read, I needed to call Larry and at 10:15 a voicemail from Larry simple saying call me. I returned the call 3 times and was unable to speak to Larry before our arrival. That's everything. I am asking why I was not told that the car was not available. It would have saved me a lot of aggravation and a long trip Friday morning was not necessary.
