A little more background: I decided to trade in my 2011 Dodge Ram Laramie 1500 for a used Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and spent about six weeks researching exactly what I wanted and the market values for both my truck and potential new (to me) Jeeps. I found the Jeep I was looking for on AutoTrader and sent a quick email to the dealership to let them know I was interested. This was around 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving night. Friday morning, I had a voice mail when I woke up, and we arranged a test drive on Saturday afternoon at 2:30. The test drive was pleasant, and there was no pressure from the sales team -- just their desire to make sure I was getting the vehicle I wanted. At no time did anyone try to up-sale me to a newer or more expensive model. The test drive revealed the vehicle was in fantastic shape, exactly as advertised on AutoTrader.com. When we returned to the dealership, they appraised my truck. Two other dealers had attempted low-ball (and in my opinion shady and dishonest) techniques to under-value my truck. Conversely, at Keffer, the first words out of my salesman's mouth were as follows: "Wow, that's a nice truck. Really clean." We went back inside and got down to business. The initial offer for my truck was a bit lower than I wanted (naturally), but when I countered and let them know I had done quite a bit of research via both KBB and NADA, they came back with an offer that was actually a little higher than what I was prepared to accept. Then we talked about the Jeep's price. It was already priced as a "great deal" according to True Car, and was indeed priced considerably lower than what I had been seeing base model Jeeps with higher miles going for in the area. We were able to shave another 7% off that price, which is substantial for a used Wrangler. Finally, the last piece of the puzzle: I have excellent credit, so I told them an interest rate that was nearly a full point below what I was willing to accept. To my surprise, they agreed immediately. (I should have asked for even more!!) The lender said this rate was typically for a 72-month term, but I got it for 48 months. And here's where I wish I could give this dealership an extra star on their review: The Jeep came with a soft top, and when I test drove it, my wife noticed the passenger side floorboard was wet. Before I agreed to purchase, they tested the top and found a small leak. They would repair it first thing Monday morning, and I could drive it home. The only problem is that I was only in town to visit my folks for Thanksgiving. I live four hours away near Greenville, N.C. Brandon said he would deliver my Jeep to me Monday and then drive the truck home with him. When the service department looked at the top, the leak was more substantial than they thought, so they kept the vehicle for two extra days to fix it correctly. At any point, I feel like they could have simply sent it down the road for me to deal with the problem on my own. But they valued my satisfaction and fixed it right. This afternoon, my new-to-me Jeep was delivered in my driveway shortly after I got home from work. I have dealt with three other dealerships since 2006. Two were just fine (probably 3.5-4 stars), and the other was atrocious. (I'll save that review for another day.) However, this experience puts all the rest to shame. I can't recommend Keffer Jeep highly enough. When it's time for my wife to purchase a new vehicle (we have our eyes on the new Jeep Cherokee), we're almost certainly going to be making another road trip to Charlotte to buy from Keffer. Thanks! Everything I thought was well until I found out I did not have a manual for this new vehicle. Not to mention came for detail because car wash was not done wehn car purchased. My cargo cover needed to be replaced. I understood they had to order.I don't know when it actually came in they never bothered to call me. Unbelievable....Try to complain to General Manager he never called back. My next step is to blast them on facebook then call TV station. Shaun was great! I typically HATE buying a new vehicle, but Shaun made the experience enjoyable.
