We just purchased our second MINI with the help of Marcus Walker at Keeler Mini of Latham, and it was a pleasure. He helped us through the process of building a zesty yellow MINI. Everything went smoothly, a Walker at Keeler Mini of Latham, and it was a pleasure. He helped us through the process of building a zesty yellow MINI. Everything went smoothly, and we picked the car up earlier than expected. Marcus is a professional, and Keeler is lucky to have him. He makes us feel like we have a friend in the office-- someone we can contact if anything goes wrong. Thank you, Marcus, and the Keeler Team! We are a MINI family for life. More
I purchased my first mini from Keeler four years ago and was less than impressed with the experience. I went back to Keeler last week to trade my car in for a 2019 certified Classic Countryman. After a long was less than impressed with the experience. I went back to Keeler last week to trade my car in for a 2019 certified Classic Countryman. After a long Saturday of negotiating with the saleswoman and eventually the sales manager we finally came to a deal (they add on bogus extra fees and low balled me on my trade). I received a call the morning I was supposed to pick up the car informing me that the car was in fact NOT certified and the story changed multiple times. They did nothing to make it right other than taking off the price of the CPO warranty. The entire situation was very unprofessional and absolutely felt like a bait and switch situation. I ended up going to Mini of Westchester where I purchased a 2020 Countryman Signature that was priced at an extremely fair price. They immediately offered me a fair trade amount for my car and there were no extra hidden fees like the Nitro tire and VIN etch which Keeler insisted had to be on the car. The guy at Mini of Westchester was awesome! There were no games and no private meetings with a sales manager behind closed doors like I experienced at Keeler. Mini of Westchester was an amazing experience and worth the drive! Keeler has lost my business. More
🚨🚨Warning🚨🚨 don’t ever use the mini service center! First they love to pad the repair estimate and “fix” things that are not a part of the original reason you’re bringing the car in. Second they NEVE First they love to pad the repair estimate and “fix” things that are not a part of the original reason you’re bringing the car in. Second they NEVER offer you any type of transportation while they have your car for days! Reading thru the comments I see this is always an issue with them! I’ve had such a POOR experience with their service department that I would NEVER buy any make or model car from Keeler! Beware! You have been warned! More
Last week we walked into Keeler Mini with the intent to sell our JCW Countryman (we love the strong performance and unique design of this car, but we have 2 and we don't require 2 cars any longer). Marcus sell our JCW Countryman (we love the strong performance and unique design of this car, but we have 2 and we don't require 2 cars any longer). Marcus Walker greeted us and immediately assessed our needs and began the Keeler car-buying process. What an easy, fair, and infornative process! Marcus had a great deal of knowledge about selling your car, the advantages of the various avenues (online, dealer, private sale) and never pressured us about our possible choice. Marcus also had excellent attention to the details and we felt confident with standing face-to-face in front of him and selling our car to Keeler versus the anonymity of a fill-in-the-blanks online process. As our selling process went on, Marcus kept us informed as to how Keeler arrives at their offer and the steps within the team at the Dealership so that we could walk away with a same-day Check to our satisfaction in a remarkably short time. We were very pleased with Keeler's offer -- there's really no reason to sell your car online when you have a valuable resource like Keeler Motor Co and its team locally. We have been clients of Keeler for all of our family cars for years (Mini and BMW) and have been very pleased with not only the Sales process but also Servicing of our vehicles. Our original dealings were with Brendon Sias, now with Keeler Honda, and his utmost care and customer service kept us Loyal to Keeler for years. Brendon Sias is the reason we keep coming back. We don't intend to ever purchase a car from any other Dealership than Keeler. More
After getting a flat snow tire and driving on it, (my fault!) it needed to be replaced. Herb in Mini Cooper Service went out of his way to accommodate us and performed service on the car while replacing the tire. Not only was the service and communication excellent but he agreed to deliver the car to us as it would have been very difficult for us to pick it up due to the distance. This is our second mini and our fourth car from Keller. The staff continues to exceed our expectation for professionalism! More
My bad experiences Dec 2019 -Jan 2020. I went to Keeler's Mini for .. 1. Brand new winter tires to be put on my car and balanced 2. New wipers 3. Oil change Before going for this appt my car engine a Mini for .. 1. Brand new winter tires to be put on my car and balanced 2. New wipers 3. Oil change Before going for this appt my car engine and tires were quiet and ran smooth. My old wipers needed to be replaced with new wipers. After the visit ... 1. My engine was louder and not as smooth 2. My tires were loud and I had a rough ride. Problems: weights were not put on right, tires were not balanced, bolts were loose, air pressure off. After 2 or 3 revists to fix these issues my car still did not ride quiet or smooth and I was told its because I have new snow tires. I've been buying the best and most quiet snow tires for years now and never had this problem before. My mini always rides smooth, quiet, great and safe in the snow. 3. My car wipers were never replaced. Problems: it rained and I noticed my new wipers were never put on my mini. I had to go back to Keeler once again. This time to get my new wipers they charged me for but forgot to put on my car. Then it snowed. I turn on my new wipers and the left one goes flying to the ground. Keeler did not tightened my bolts on left wiper this is why is flew off my car. This happen before work. I had to go back into house to get a tool to bolt the wiper on my car. I also had to pull up a YouTube to show me how to do it and ended up being late for work for this inconvience. 4. I was given 3 rent of cars from Christmas time 2019 to after New Years 2020 due to the problems I had with my car that I mentioned 1-3 above Remember. I only brought my Mini in for an simple oil change, to get my brand new winter tires put on and balanced on my car and to have my old wipers replaced with new ones and I went through all of the unnecessary chaos and stress above due to incompetent mechanics/mechanical service. Truth! Problems start at the top and filter down to this staff if not corrected. In the spring 2020 three months later I went to a trusted and competent mechanic (only because I had a poor experience with Keeler last visit and my warranty ran out but if I had a good experience with Keeler I would of had still went back to them although the warrantee had ran out). to get my winter tires off and summer tires on/balanced and to get an oil change. The mechanic said a chain or tire part forgot exact words he used was hanging in my front driver tire (the tire I kept telling Keeler something is still not right with that tire they said they did all they could do for me on my tire and its loud and not smooth because its a snow tire in which I knew in my gut their answer was wrong). As for my oil it was brown. Since Keeler forgot to balance, weight, bolt my tires correctly up front and forgot to put my new wipers on my car too (and the loose bolt on my new wipers problem too) I thought did they just top my mini1 off with oil and not give me an oil change that is why my oil is brown three months later after supposingly getting a oil change from Keeler in Jan 2020? A good take from this all. The Mini service rep gentleman named Herb Wilson and being able to get 3 rent of cars free of charge was the good that came out of this bad (stressful nightmere). Herb was professional on his part. He had nothing to due to the very poor mechanical work, service and communication. To boot I had to ask for a $ discount for the horrible bad mechanical service I had. Herb did not charge me for oil change. Also on my last returned 3 or 4th visit Herb requested that my mini be cleaned inside out. I get in my mini and it was not cleaned or vacuumed. Herb was not happy about this and took my car back into Keelers himself and cleaned and vacuumed my mini for me. Over all Herb Wilson Mini's service rep and Andrea Mini's sales manager I have had excellent encounters with but the very poor mechanical parts and service at Keeler has put their customers at risks to encounter a car accident on the road and or higher costs and expenses with their car repairs and maintenence in the long run. The owner of Keeler really needs to fire and rehire staff in his mini mechanical and parts dept if he genuinely cares about the reputation of his business and keeping his customers safe on the road. I love MINIs, (I have three) but Keeler is best avoided, both for sales and service. When BMW introduced the MINI to the US back in 2002, Keeler had an enthusiastic and knowledgeable sales team and an excel both for sales and service. When BMW introduced the MINI to the US back in 2002, Keeler had an enthusiastic and knowledgeable sales team and an excellent service department. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, and the new MINIs became bloated and lost whatever connection they had to the original Classic Mini. Keeler also lost their integrity and enthusiasm for the brand. Service department never returns calls, and Keeler takes the term 'stealership' to another level. More
On 5/26/2020 I took my daughter’s Mini to Keeler Mini in Albany for the NY state inspection and an oil change. Less than 700 miles later my daughter told me the car was making a very strange noise. At a loc Albany for the NY state inspection and an oil change. Less than 700 miles later my daughter told me the car was making a very strange noise. At a local auto shop they tested the car and found the lug nuts on the left front wheel were so loose that the wheel was very close to falling off. The service department manager at Keeler, Darren, of course denied that such a thing could have been caused by them. He even had the nerve to lie and say that they do not remove the wheels for the inspection. When I told him I knew that the state inspection requires to have one removed at least, he quickly said they had indeed removed the front left one. I told him that sounded like a very incriminating coincidence. He quickly said that his mechanic (Herb Wilson) could have not caused it since it happened 2 1/2 months/700 miles after they had our car with them. The timing is irrelevant, but I knew he was never going to admit any wrong doing under the risk of being sued, neither I would be able to prove it. After the conversation I have found quite a few chats on the internet related to similar cases of loose lug nuts in cars that had been serviced 400, 600 and up to 900 miles before they lost the wheel. I know I should be thankful that we did not cause an accident and that my daughter is alive. It would have been nice to receive a sound apology from Keeler, and even better if as compensation for their potentially deadly negligence I would have received the $313.33 I was charged for the inspection, some spark plugs and an oil change. I will never set foot there again, instead I will bring our three cars to the local garage where the staff is competent and where they care for the safety of their clients. Keeler Mini is only consistent in trying to make quick money with repairs. I will make it my mission to spread the word of what happened to us. In Keeler they are incompetent, dishonest and arrogant, and people need to be aware of it. More
