It been about a month Javier was my salesman. I was afraid at first because I had really bad experiences with car dealerships, bought a bad car in past from peer pressure and even when I took car I was afraid at first because I had really bad experiences with car dealerships, bought a bad car in past from peer pressure and even when I took car to dealership for repairs due to recalls etc it was the worst experience I ever had with Volkswagen dealerships in Katy and in Houston area. I was traumatized so bad I let my vw jetta go freely losing all the money I put into that car and actually didn’t go to any dealership for at least a year. So believe me, I was super nervous when I showed up at Honda Katy dealership to look at car to buy. I even try to be to be prepared by having a guy with me to checkout and test drive the car but something happened and I ended up going alone. Javier assure me that even though I was alone, he would take care of me thru the process and Javier did just that. I felt safe and calm through the whole deal. Javier even followed up days after to checked on me to make sure everything been good. Which it has been great, no complaints, and car running fabulous I love my car. So if shopping for a car here ask for Javier 😊 More
Last two cars I have bought elsewhere took about half an hour. Spent two evenings getting the run around at Katy Honda. They tried every deceptive, sleazy trick in the book. Finally got angry and walked out hour. Spent two evenings getting the run around at Katy Honda. They tried every deceptive, sleazy trick in the book. Finally got angry and walked out in the finance office. Complained to the manager, who thought it was entertaining and stated “ that’s just our negotiation tactics”. This dealership still runs the car business like it’s 1975. Puts overpriced pack on every vehicle, lies like xxxx. Buyer beware. Avoid this dealership like the plague. There are obvious reasons why the Toyota dealership down the road is crowded and this dealership is a ghost town. I can’t imagine why Honda Corporate hasn’t gotten involved considering their overwhelming negative reviews. More

June 2023 - Iheanacho Orabuchi is the worst manager ever. Stay away. Wish we would have read the reviews. You go in for a trade and you come out being scammed. Deceptive trade prices, Advertises vehicles for less than they are willing to sell them for and then tries to add, Reconditioning fees. To get it to the true price. False advertising, Deceptive trade. Has be they are willing to sell them for and then tries to add, Reconditioning fees. To get it to the true price. False advertising, Deceptive trade. Has been reported to BBB, and Texas Attorney general. I suggest anyone who has dealt with this dealer and had same experience do the same. This company needs to be shut down and or all management needs to be cleaned out. I now realize why I was the only Customer in the dealership. More
Deceptive and impossible to work with. After several days of trying to get the drive out price nailed down, an assistant sales manager finally emailed me the final price, on a low mileage After several days of trying to get the drive out price nailed down, an assistant sales manager finally emailed me the final price, on a low mileage 2023 Ridgeline. When I sent my son over to see the truck, before I drove in to pay for it, they told him the truck was already gone to Arkansas. I JUST SPOKE WITH THR MGR, 15 Minutes PRIOR! Got an email from the asst mgr, saying he forgot to check to see if they still had it. A week later it is listed again. for sale there at a lower price. There must be some way to buy a Honda without dealing with crooked dealerships and their games. More
I went in having read all the fine print in the listing I was interested in. Fine print specifically stated that LoJack, PermaPlate & tint were included in the price. When the sales person showed me price sh was interested in. Fine print specifically stated that LoJack, PermaPlate & tint were included in the price. When the sales person showed me price sheet, I told him this and showed him the listing. He left and came back and tried to tell me that the fee he was charging me was for “service for a year” which is a straight up lie. Those items don’t have service fees. Between that and getting a $4k reconditioning fee tacked on, I walked out of the dealership. And they didn’t even bother to call me or anything to make it right. More
My wife found a car listing at this dealership to replace her recently totaled 2021 Honda Odyssey Touring. The list price was great. After test driving it, the sales person Simon, brought out the price sheet her recently totaled 2021 Honda Odyssey Touring. The list price was great. After test driving it, the sales person Simon, brought out the price sheet with breakdown of what was being charged. My wife was explicit in telling him that she had an awful experience at Spring Branch Honda (now Easy Honda) when she bought the van she's now replacing, hoping that they would know not to try anything with her. Well, the price sheet Simon brought out had a $4,000 reconditioning fee. Asked what that was for and he Said that it was for the expenses they had in getting the car ready for sale, like replacing 2 new tires and windshield wipers. Not sure if the tires were supersonic or something super special because there is no way that 2 new tires and wipers cost even half of that ridiculous fee. She immediately told him that she didn't feel comfortable paying that. He asked her to 'split the cost' with them. Umm... no sir, why should she split the cost of what is supposed to be regular dealer costs. Your list price should already include whatever it cost to get the car up to par. And I'm sure the person who traded in their lease also got lowballed in their trade-in value to cover 'reconditioning fees' so they're double dipping here. Well, they agreed to remove the reconditioning fee entirely for her, so she was given a final price that had List price, TT& L... PLUS PermaPlate and LoJack costs. She pointed out to Simon that their sales listing on their website (not on cars.com or other sites, on hondacarsofkaty.com) specifically stated that PermaPlate, LoJack and tint were include in price. Simon said he would go talk to sales manager about that, left and came back to say that those fees were actually 'service' fees, for 1 year of the service. Ummm.. LoJack website, the manufacturer, states that LoJack costs are only one-time and that there are no monthly, yearly or any other type of service plans. So that right there was a straight up lie. My wife told him, no, I'm not paying that, remove those fees and we have a deal. He left, came back and said they would not be doing business then because they wouldn't remove that. It was $800 fees they were tacking on. My wife got up and walked out. It's such a shame that they did this to her. She already had to deal with insurance and her car accident. Now she has to deal with these deceptive sales practices. She was looking to get great customer service and was very clear about what she didn't want, yet here they went, trying to get extra money out of her. It's ridiculous. Typical bait-and-switch. Show you a lower list price than competitors, then once you're there try to get you to pay the same with all their add ons and fees. If you want to sell the car for $43k, then list it for that. If someone wants to buy it for that price, they will. But don't bait and switch. IF this is what you want to deal with, and don't mind throwing your money away, then by all means go here. Simon tried to say he was being transparent by showing her the breakdown of the price. No, being transparent would mean that you guys had a list price, would add TTL and that's it. Not other xxxxxxxx fees and try to make my wife feel like you're doing her a favor by removing said fees, in addition to try to play her for dumb in lying about what the fees are for. They could've earned a loyal customer out of us, one that would've raved and shared about their awesome experience, but instead, they left us with a sour taste. Oh and we got, what we assume is, an automated email from Dylan, the internet sales person that originally responded to our inquiry asking us to respond about what we were interested in. My wife responded explaining everything that happened to see if he could help in any way. Crickets, that's all we heard. Absolutely no sort of response from him either. More
I bought Honda Odyssey in 2019 from this dealership and they added extra fees for putting Nitrogen in the tires for lifetime. Also they promised that I will get free oil changes for life. But then the ow they added extra fees for putting Nitrogen in the tires for lifetime. Also they promised that I will get free oil changes for life. But then the owners changed and they refused to honor the free oil change. Also whenever I took the car for service or oil change, they tell me that the Nitrogen machine is broken. Today when I dropped the car, the guy at the front service center told me to go to the main building and they will fill up the Nitrogen. But when I went there Tony Brymer told me the machine is broken. I asked him how long it has been and he said months. It has been like that for 3 years. If the sales guys try to add the cost of Nitrogen to your car, just refuse because these guys don't even have a working machine and I don't think they have any plan to replace the broken one. I feel like cheated as I am not offered the service I was forced to pay. More
On January 4, 2023,my husband, Calvin, and I purchased a 2021 Honda Cr-V SE from Honda Cars of Katy. The listed price was $24000, I offered $23,000 and it was accepted. While the financial officer Elv a 2021 Honda Cr-V SE from Honda Cars of Katy. The listed price was $24000, I offered $23,000 and it was accepted. While the financial officer Elvis Garcia, was writing up the contract, He mentioned that they no longer did a "yellow sheet " showing the sales price and other fees; "everything was done on the computer now." He also stated that there was a warranty on the vehicle and that I should not pay for any repairs, but he never mentioned that there was a cost for the warranty. I assumed that he meant the manufacturers warranty since the mileage on the vehicle was 47386. He had us sign several pages but we never saw a page calculating the sales price plus TTl minus the $10000 down payment. I assumed we would have that in our packet of documents when I picked up the vehicle on Friday. I wrote a $10000 check for the down payment, which he was to hold until Friday when I picked up the vehicle so that I would have time to cash a CD to cover it. My son, Alan Darby, volunteered to pick up the vehicle so that I wouldn't have to make another 30 mile drive on Hwy 10, which is under construction. I am legally blind in one eye and I have trouble driving long distances in lots of traffic and my husband Calvin is disabled so he is unable to drive. I also asked him to pick up the paperwork, since I had not received any the previous day. Thomas the salesperson refused to give him the paperwork with the excuse that he was not the purchaser. My son asked to just see the paperwork and again was refused. He and my daughter-in-law, Patti Darby, picked up the vehicle but were given no paperwork. The following Monday, I went to see Mr. Elvis Garcia and requested the paperwork, since I had nothing to show that I had purchased the vehicle. He gave me a thumbdrive stating everything was on it. However, when I opened the thumbdrive, the only figure was the sales tax form showing the sales price of $28,808. Elvis told me that was the sales price plus the tax and fees. I still did not have a full accounting of the transaction. I received a notice from the loan company, Driveway Finance, with an address and the payment amount on January 18, stating that my first payment was due on February 3, 2023, which I sent because I did not want to be behind on the loan even though I still had not received paperwork with a full accounting of the price . I received a payment notice from the loan company for my March payment, and much to my surprise, the balance financed was $26,009.20. How it was possible that I purchased a vehicle for $23,000 plus TTl , put $10000 down and owed $26609.20 just didn't calculate!! I called Driveway Finance and they informed me that there was an extended warranty added to the loan. We never discussed an extended warranty: If we had, I would have declined since I do not ever buy extended warranties. I went to see Mr. Garcia the following day and he stated that he thought the salesperson had gone over it with me and had me sign a cancellation form. He also showed that I was charged a "refurbishing fee" of $2700.00. If we had been shown a full accounting of these items at the time of purchase, I would have refused to pay them. I feel foolish for not demanding to see the full worksheet before signing, but my biggest flaw is that I want to trust people. I don't know if they felt they could take advantage of 2 old people in their mid 80s , or if they pull this scam on everyone, but I will NEVER recommend them to anyone I know: in fact I am considering contacting the local TV stations in order to warn people not to do business with them or contacting my attorney.
