I don't think customer service is a high enough priority. On two occasions my service writer left or wasn't there at the end of my service which meant - no call when the car was ready- including this appoin On two occasions my service writer left or wasn't there at the end of my service which meant - no call when the car was ready- including this appointment. It seems that no one picks up the slack. I've witnessed the lack of back up (which is never an excuse) and I have also witnessed a hectic and chaotic office with no help from a supervisor or higher up. I don't really blame my service writers as much as I blame the culture, management focus, and training. Get some esprit de corps going and people like me might consider coming back - as of now - probably not. For this service I had an appointment and I left my car for a 2 day job. It wasn't even looked at for more than 2 days. I picked up the car after 4 days without a phone call to tell me it was ready. That kind of poor resource planning is unacceptable. Again - probably a higher ups problem. I named below my service writer as a person I worked with. I want to make clear that the fact that he couldn't get my car in sooner and that he left (on an emergency as I was told later) before I was notified about my car is more a culture/management problem than just him. He should have had back up and he should have been able to honor my appointment. He indicated he couldn't get the car in sooner. Unacceptable. But he should have had recourse with higher ups in this case. Apparently that is not how you do business. More
We were looking to trade in our Yukon in on a newer one. We saw where Karl Flammer Ford had a used Yukon Denali on their lot, so we went to take a look at it. My overall experience has been very good. I love the fact that my car can be picked up from my house and delivered back after repairs.
