My experience with the Joseph Toyota service department has been very positive in the past. However, my visit to the service department yesterday was not the best. My husband received a call the previous has been very positive in the past. However, my visit to the service department yesterday was not the best. My husband received a call the previous week from a service scheduler, when we were on vacation, to bring our Highlander Hybrid in for a recall as soon as possible. He specifically asked if there would be a loaner car arranged for me as I would be the one dropping off the Highlander. We were told the service would take 4 hours. The appointment was set for 10:30 a.m. on Friday, 6/17. When I arrived at Joseph Toyota's service department to drop off my car, I was sent to the car rental window where I was told that a loaner car reservation was not in the system for me and that there were no cars available. My only option was to wait for the car because my husband was ill and could not drive out to Joseph Toyota (30 minute trip) to pick me up. Fortunately, the car was ready in under an hour. My husband received a call from someone in the service department when the car was completed asking him to pick up the car. My husband was told there was a loaner car available, but he chose to wait for the car. My husband told him that I was the one waiting and was told there was no loaner car available. The disorganization in Joseph Toyota's service department did not make me a happy customer yesterday. The greatest disconnect seemed to be between the scheduler and the delivery of service. Truck was brought in to have sensor alerts checked and to have 25k service completed. I can't tell if the oil was changed. It doesn't look like it based on my service report, and it should have been done. Pl have 25k service completed. I can't tell if the oil was changed.
