The new way of buying a car WOW!!! Car salesmen have come a long way, from the high pressure, aggressive and selling you the car you didn't want to begin with, to the no pressure WOW!!! Car salesmen have come a long way, from the high pressure, aggressive and selling you the car you didn't want to begin with, to the no pressure tactic such as: "what do you want or need?, what are you looking for?, let's see what we can do, how do you feel about this price for all you want?, what if we do this to help you out?, are you comfortable with this agreement?" approach. I'm impressed that we've come this far. I went in there to test drive and to just humor myself (no intension of purchasing a car at all) the Hyundai Genesis. In the midst of visiting the dealership, the Sonata caught my eye, and when the numbers and deals were crunched, I could not think of any negative reason to not purchase the car. I mean, I would decrease my monthly payment by $125 with the deal they're offering and i would get more features than my 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring, and I would get out of my negative equity and have a 6 speed transmission. It was the deal I could not refuse. Besides the fuel efficiency, which cannot be compared to the Sonata because I wasn't purchasing the Hybrid, I was happy with the mileage, and its very good for a midsize family sedan...37mpg is very respectable. All in all, I test drove a total of 4 cars and was in and out of the dealership with my new car within a total of 4 hours...that is incredibly fast for purchasing a car at a dealership without the intention of buying upon arrival. More

Needless to say, Ivan took great care of me. He did not try to play games with the numbers. I expressed what my budget was, and Ivan & Kevin kept the OTD price below it. They were kind and transparent. I saved roughly $3,000 compared to the pricing the Sport Durst was offering. I would definitely recommend this them! I left Sport Durst feeling used and taken advantage of, but Ivan and Kevin made this purchase a pleasurable and exciting experience! More

When I expressed concerns about the lack of responsiveness from another dealership who had provided service on my vehicle, and my need for a dependable vehicle, they asked if I would like a referral to their sales department. Car Buying Experience Offset Stress of Drunk Driver Accident I needed a car right away after my car was totaled in a wreck with a drunk driver on the day before Thanksgiving! I didn't mention ANY of this to the Internet Sales Manager, Dawn Gilbert, when I contacted her on Thanksgiving Day. I only told her I needed a 2016 Elantra with Bluetooth, but she helped me as if my need for a car was her #1 priority! Dawn was extremely responsive to every phone call and email. She finalized my deal over the phone and was endlessly patient and calm. Dawn Gilbert processed my payment to hold my chosen car and sent me a comprehensive email with everything listed that I would need to finalize purchase. When I got to Johnson Hyundai at my appointment time on Tuesday, 12/1 at 11:00 AM, Dawn greeted me warmly, and the Product Specialist, Shareef Abdelhalim, handled processing of my purchase paperwork calmly and efficiently. He gave my spouse and me his full attention, expressing appropriate & sincere concern and compassion when we told him about the drunk driver who had totaled our 2009 Elantra. James Edmonson, your finance manager (who went over all options with us and finalized payment terms for our car purchase), was engaging, sincere, and kind. He made the whole experience of handing over lots of money as pleasant and FUN as possible! And then Shareef took over again to introduce me to my amazing new car, showing me all its bells & whistles -- and getting that all-important Bluetooth connected with my phone. I love the car. I love Johnson Hyundai. I only wish y'all would open another branch of Johnson Hyundai in Wake Forest, NC, where I live!
